Everyone ready for a difficult post?
At my current rate I don’t see myself reasonably finishing this tome within the next decade. Or two.
I have many, many excuses, but it comes down to time, technical effort and time.
My life has moved on since I first started this. Some bad and lots of recent good.
'Spare' time is precious, but I still believed I could commit to a few hours per week and chip away at the chapters, however I’ve run into serious technical issues with HS. If the PC tower wasn’t under the desk it would’ve been bounced off of a few walls by now (It has been kicked. Several times).
It’s fair to say that I’m also fatigued with this hanging over me and it’s sometimes difficult to sit down and work on it. But that’s just defeatist talk.
Soooo... What to do?
The story is written (but I do finesse it and manage the choices as I work on each chapter). Creating the images is the bottleneck.
Here’s the plan…
Next few months:
I’m going to release the next chapter (6), complete with all the expected images and ‘animation’.
A while after that:
I’ll release the entire game, but from chapter 7 onwards it’ll be using simple images for key scenes. The intention would be to stop producing multiple images and animation.
I’ll also provide HS character cards for anyone who wants to pick this up and properly finish it.
I haven’t figured out the details and obviously it’s not the best news or even a great compromise to this situation I’ve created, but I want to thank you for your support throughout this. You're all great.
PRAISE THE LORDDDDDDDD FOR THE REPLY. Please do take care of yourself it is the utmost priority, you are already better than the majority of people that just abandon their project without a reason since here you are explaining. People will understandEveryone ready for a difficult post?

If more devs were like you and actually cared about the potential for their work, whether it's them or the community that carries it through to the end, we would have way less abandonwareEveryone ready for a difficult post?

Glad to hear that you've decided to create the ending. I don't even care about the quality or length of the final chapters. I understand that life gets in the way. I'm just happy if it gets a conclusion, even if it's just mostly a synopsis versionEveryone ready for a difficult post?

It's a rainy day today. I've been quietly following this game for years now at this point, always holding some sort of hope that it will be continued. But, with life being the way it is, we all won't always get what we want. At least you tried your best to update us and had every intention of giving us a real good story and game. Whatever happens now, I'll still wait to see how this project will continue and hopefully, maybe end. Thanks for everything Ink, I know it was probably hard to come to that decision, but you got to prioritize what's important for you. This is still one of the best stories/adult games on the web and nothing will change that. o7Everyone ready for a difficult post?

Definitely! It's a great game, and if you look a couple of posts back you will see that Ink (the creator) just let us know that he's planning two more installments (the later one will finish the game just enough so we get the end, but leaving enough information that anyone who want's can pick up the pieces and re-make the game). Is it worth playing since it is abandoned?
Yes. Even if it would not be completed (and it will, according to Inkalicious), what's already there is much better than many of the finished games I've played. Is it worth playing since it is abandoned?
