Hello and welcome to the Kindread FAQ.

I'll add to this as time goes on, but hopefully it'll answer some of the recurring questions that are appearing again and again and again. Recurring so hard.

How many Chapters will there be?
I don't know. The whole volume is written, but Chapters are decided by

• Ending on a good cliffhanger or a significant plot shift
• Available time to produce the images

Chapters are not an equal length or contain the same number of choices.

Is there an Android version?
I don't make one, but others do. If they do, it'll be added to the OP.

Differences between the Standard and Family Editions?
The Standard Edition has the MC as part of a small group.
The Family Edition has the MC as the son/brother in a family unit with his mom and sister.

If you play the Standard Edition, you should understand that they are not strangers or simply just friends.
They are a tight-knit group who knew each other before and have now lived through the end of the world together. They are still experiencing a daily struggle to stay alive, together. They love each other, but the mc has caused... issues.

Which one is canon?
My first intention was to write a family-orientated story, but very soon I realised that I was more interested in the player forming their own thoughts of the group (Neighbours? Teacher and students? Landlady and stepkids?)
The split in editions happened as it was proving difficult to manage both options within one version.

In the Family Edition, the younger girl sometimes uses her Mom's name
This is intentional as she thinks it shows maturity to treat her Mom as a peer. However she'll use 'Mom' by accident, in emotional moments or when she's wanting something.

He is such a dick!
Yes. That's the whole point. At the beginning.
I play a lot of VNs and, at the time of writing, they focused on the horny unstoppable MC wooing/corrupting the love interests by spying, sneaking, accidental fumbles, playing with them in their sleep. Spoilers now... The VN's starting point is that you've done all the sneaking, snooping etc. but instead of wooing them, you now are regarded as a creep and perhaps even as a danger. So while you're still thinking with your dick, the girls have their own agenda and circumstances rapidly change. However, have you got what you wanted and can you keep it?

This isn't a VN, choices don't matter.
Hopefully you're looking back from later Chapters and wondering 'Huh? Obviously choices matter.', and you're right. However in the initial Chapters your story was mainly driven by the other characters motivations.
I'm also a big fan of subtle changes, however there are major choices and you might not see the results until much later.

But it seems pretty linear.
I'd love to give you all the choices in the world, but I think you'd appreciate that I focus on producing plot lines and paths that make more sense and are used more.
The aim of this VN is to get the girls. And keep everyone alive. Unless you like them ripe... but not in the good way.

Harem ending?
The aim of the game is to get the girls. However... Not every girl you meet/insert your penis into will be available for a harem. People come and go.
For this reason I'm not saying it's a harem game. If I do that, and a random girl gets munched by the undead, it'll all be "YOU LIED TO US! I CAN'T HAVE A HAREM WITH JUST HER LITTLE TOE!"

Releases are taking soooooo long. Why?
This is a hobby and it's just me. If I'm lucky, I only have a few hours during the week to work on this. I'm going to keep going, but the pace is dictated by work, life and work.

When's the next update?
There are no release deadlines.
I've given deadlines before and that simply seemed to encourage Fate to aim its glittery chocolate starfish at my plans. I'll update when I feel there's update material, but no release deadlines. No siree.

Afraid so. It replaces specific dialogue for that version.

And yep, I could've coded it, and did.
There were early versions where you could assign relationships, etc, but feedback said it was too much hassle (though everyone's doing it now) and I also hated the dialogue knots I would create just to make it work with and without sexy family bonding time.

This is one of the best on this site. The scenario of Zombie post apocalyptic is all very familiar, but the well developed dialogue and character relationships make it well above average. It's well paced and the humour helps.

The developer can take his time with this, because the result is well worth the wait.

This is up to you. The incest patch is self-explanatory and it'll create a family unit of mom, daughter/sister with the mc as son/brother.

Thank you, enjoyed your game and had wished I had read it before my last play. Only slight thing I missed, but see now that I might have made a wrong choice earlier. Was the option when they were waiting after the cafe for the son to make a dominant move and give to the mom by fingering her or eating her out instead as the other way around. You can also dominate and give. On the whole enjoyable update though. Thanks.

Most of you don't know me because I'm lazy af and don't post stuff frequently, however, I played hundreds of games by now but feel that I have to recommend this one to everyone that is into mother-son stuff.

Off course, this zombie apocalypse stuff is a well known scenario. Fockn zombies everywhere, trapped girls and a MC that uses his chance to corrupt them - nothing new. However, the point is that I (personally) feel that this game is quite well made. In the beginning the whole incest corruption stuff develops quite slowly since the MC fucked up badly and everyone is worried because of his fucked up perv mind, however, the corruption process regarding his mom feels somehow oddly 'natural' since she acts quite strict and wont just simply allow MC to move on to hardcore stuff. Because of that every babystep of corruptions feels really intense.

I'm not really convinved of the sister content tho, things happen way to fast and I don't like that she is such a perv, but if you are into some really nice mother-son content you should really play this game!

Teenagers think about sex almost all the time. Now imagine what happens when you are sex starved teenager while rest of the world goes to shit and you are left only with your sibling. Thinks are guaranteed to turn into strange direction.
I think sister has very believable attitude.

Anyway its a really good game.

I don't think she was ever actually mad at the MC. I think she was feeling guilty about her habit of molesting the MC in his sleep, so she became irritable and would burst out in anger at the MC. But she wasn't really mad at him; after all, she was doing worse to him than he ever did to her.

People, who claimed that, have never suffered real hunger in their life. Also people eat insects and rats around the world and they are still fine. That's why that kind of logic is really hollow.

I agree. I think the characters' responses to each other are totally possible. WTH knows what kind of things run through your brain in those situations, especially if you're young and horny? And if you figure that probably literally everyone else in the entire world (except those you're already with) is untrustworthy, wouldn't you eventually try to get intimate with the people you spend the most time with?

Also, I think an important point to make here is that these three have a fairly long history together. It's not as if these feelings just suddenly appeared. Sam revealed she's been getting intimate — without permission — for a while now. The MC clearly has been struggling with feelings of intimacy, obviously if the girls were tempted to kick him from the group. And Megan? Oh, beautiful Megan! She's been playing the tough adult, but it's incredibly obvious she has a lot pent up inside. I find their feelings towards each other completely logical.

The Dev did a wonderful job of writing the MC to appear as a slimy scumbag that decides to no longer be one and in return watches his not sister succumb to apocalypse induced psychosis, what was also abit offputting was her body model, it has its ribs really pronounced, I don't know if thats suppose to be a sign of starvation or what. The plot with not mom was pretty good thought. I don't know how long ware the gaps between the updates, but It felt like things escalated really quick, over all it was pretty good game.
