I have read about the FAQ, but I would like to ask you something different:

I like that mother and sister offer some resistance, not because they don't want to or want to. I neither want nor expect there to be rape, no. I mean, "out of decency" avoid doing dirty things with your son / brother, even if you want to (Well, no person is made of stone)

So ... As the chapters progress, that resistance will be reduced or there will be the possibility that it will be maintained. Something like a "limit" line that should not be crossed and is constantly crossed. For example: You are my son, I should not drink your milk. He insists and she gives in, because she wanted him to. You are my brother, we can only have anal sex, not vaginal. He seduces her and they end up doing it.

And so with all the perversities that you can think of. What I mean, to make it clear, is that all sexual relationships will have some conflict or if in the long run it will just be putting her in and taking her out.

I think, like darlic says, various takes on this have been done in many games. And I'm certainly not re-writing porn VN history here, so you can expect all the sex, with subtle or major differences in how you get there.

If there is ever a point that I have to choose between them or the family then those three are as good as zombie chow.

So i've been curiouse where exactly did the inspiration for the games title come from? Not going to lie when i first saw the title i thought the game was set in the Kindred: Vampire masqurade or Hunter: The Reckoning universe, but alas only zombies here, no vampires, werewolves or ancient demons.

It's a clunky mix of 'kindred' and 'dread' (not sure it's technically a portmanteau). I originally intended that all of the stories in the Kindread series were going to involve family members and, y'know, horror.

I've written three stories so far, with another in progress, but at the moment I'm thinking that I'll release those without images, free for others to complete them.

wouldn't it be better to actively seek out a colaborator with a art style/ascetics tastes that fit your ideas? leaving it up to chance sounds like a chance for them to not get the attention they might deserve.

On the other hand if it's just thrown out there it let's multiple people adapt the same story in different ways. I personally think that this would generate more fun results. Though this is all assuming that anyone picks it up in the first place.

I originally played this without the family edition, I didn't even know there was an option for that and was new to f95.. but seeing as the majority of people play with the family edition, should I use that to play now that the game has progressed some? how much of the text is changed, do you still call them sam and meghan and how do they refer to you? is there anyone else who originally didn't but is now using the family version and can say how it is?

I always played the original version because it is how the game was meant to be, the incest stuff has been added later IIRC. Therefore, if you're not into incest like me, you can keep enjoying the standard version.

From what i understand it was incest from the start, you just needed the patch to return it to its original version and since Inc didn't have a patreon page to worry about banning him for having said content in game then "standard" version was probably just service for those uncomfortable with incest. Story also makes more sense with incest as they are a family surviving the zombie apocalypse and if not for being blood related then Sam and Megan have no reason to put up with any of the mc antics or justification for refusing the mc's sexual advances.

Maybe that'd be an option I'd look at in the future, but at the moment I'm thinking they'd be better out there, rather than sitting in a folder.
We're a long way from that though, need to finish this one first.

Which one you play is up to you as there are only dialogue differences.

In the family edition the characters use each others names, with the exception of the MC, who will always call Megan 'Mom'.
Sam will usually use her name and avoids calling her 'Mom', as she thinks it makes her more mature. However she will use 'Mom' accidently, in emotional moments or to manipulate.
Other dialogue changes explicitly reference their relationships (either casually or during sexy times).

The VN was originally intended to have the main characters as a family. However in the early stages of writing I realised that I preferred that the player could infer whatever relationship they wanted, with another option for those who wanted the relationships explicitly stated.

If you're playing it as a group with an undefined history, I hope that it's clear that they love and are bonded to each other. They've been surviving together through an apocalypse and have been for a very long time.
Unfortunately the MC was so deep in the friendzone, he might as well have been their son/brother. And kicking someone from the group is considered a death sentence. Maybe for everyone, as the group may not work with a missing piece.

We all know all that friendzone thing is really not that big of a deal, even the most serious ones (yea, i know pretty well ). Like thorin said, story works faaaar better as a family. Which i really love hahah
