The real treasure here is not the game. They are the altruistic heroes who share it.
By opening the command console, and the only way i know how to do that is to install JDMOD from the opening post. How can I edit my gold?
Lately, for me, it was a hit or miss.but at least the content is worth it in the end
The Vehlis capture quest was very recent for Hreinn's standard at least, wasn't it? 2 or 3 updates ago max. I thought that scene was really good, one of the best in the game even, but then the repeatables and shop scenes looked downright *ugly*. So it's not like Nomo can't do it anymore at least, I just hope the repeatables update was an outlier and not an indicator for the future quality. And from the sneak peaks we got it looks like it's going back to higher quality nowLately, for me, it was a hit or miss.
But that would take work, and they're already pulling a decent amount of cash with the current model.I honestly don't think they should continue with the game. As much as I liked it, it seems to me that they lose focus with this delay. Maybe start a new game, or even redo everything, and with the errors corrected from that first version. Imagine if the entire game was remade in a better quality, with more time and with more frequent updates? I would think it was wonderful, I would put Nomo on top again
I can say it is the only thing i want...only one thing can save this company:
NOXIAN NIGHT 2
I may be wrong here, but I think they're takin' the piss. (Remaking it or RPG maker.)I'm going to be the one who disagrees here. Restarting the project, starting a new game or remaking it in rpg maker would be absolutely useless and it most likely isn't that realistic either.
KoD's development clearly lacks management and planning. Even tho Nomo has an overall direction, in every single patch so far we have seen content being added with a delay or cut and passed on to the next patch. There seem to be plans for what should be in the finished game but for not when and how.
This is made worse by the working speed of some team member(s). It doesn't really matter if it's a lack of free time to work on this game or laziness, the result is the same.
Until these things get fixed, restarting the game or making a new one won't make any difference at best and just give us 1-2 years of absolutely no content followed up by the same pace at worst.
That is, if Hreinn decides to make another project if they decide to shut down this one.
I want to see improvement on the speed of released content, just as everyone else in this thread, but continuing KoD is the best scenario in every case, because either the current problems get carried over to the new project or they get fixed and if they are fixed, then carrying on with KoD doesn't need new foundations and planning to start.
I can see advantages to having done it in RPG maker from the beginning (namely having a lot of the mechanics they had to code into renpy native or available as free addons online). But yeah, I hoipe it was a joke about taking literally years to redo the game so far in RPGmaker, seeing as the coding seems to be (one of) the frequent causes of the delays (IIRC it's a common excuse they give). Hell, you can see what happens to an ambitious project when they redo it in a new engine with Malise and the Machine. Last had a release of a version in 2018 (unless there's some release not posted here or updated on their patreon front page), though still being "worked on" in a new engine according to the developer.I may be wrong here, but I think they're takin' the piss. (Remaking it or RPG maker.)
Exactly. Noxian Nights failed miserably on that point: poorly designed maps, lots of useless walking, empty world, terrible battles and balancing. Kingdom of Deception is a huge step up from Noxian Nights in my opinion and I think they should keep making games in Ren'Py. And I say that without even considering how outdated the RPGmaker engine is compared to Ren'Py.I don't find RPGmaker to be a better engine for most games. A ton of RPGmaker games just wind up having tons of empty space and useless walking. Unless a major part of the game is to have random combat, I prefer Renpy or any other engine.
i was a subscriber to their patreon at some point.Bruh a lot of people complaining for free pirated content
