Anyone got the notes for 14.1? It's been like 9 months or some shit, I'm sure it's a great, bountiful update.
I don't even think leakers are around, the months scared most of them away. Hope springs eternal though.

Also, impressive work with the AI. People are usually extremely wary of it (and for good reason) but KoD had an interesting setup and it would be bloody hilarious to see more content from here than the creators proper. Is Viressa still around? Man could write for sure.

Doesn't sound worth a download...

Also i'd like Kindred, Soraka and Sona to appear.... mostly in a minotaur or tentacles ending

I don't know how to start the Brothel quest either, but judging by the Gallery, it's naturally the same assets from the group in the slums you gather info from for Kira.

Were you serious about making a "development thread / group chat" ?
I typed a really long post about this topic.. then deleted it.. and started digging into renpy code to see how it works instead. o_O
honestly, I have my doubts. I'm very busy with my life (as you can probably guess from my commenting schedule) and personally, I'd think twice before promising anything. Besides, I believe we're kind of underestimating the scope of the work required to create an actual, functioning game (tho as I said before, I know nothing about coding and have never done any writing).

I speak from experience when I say "I don't want to commit to something I have next to no idea about", but creating a thread here could be a good start to see how much support we can get from the community. you know, because it's gonna be "community work".

ps: your SD works are awesome. even if we never get to create anything for KoD, I rly encourage you to follow it up and make something out of it for yourself. I personally follow it mostly as a hobby (a few pics a week when I'm bored), but you went DEEP into the rabbit hole.

I also don't have a spare 5 years to spend on making a Noxian Nights of Deception 3..

My ~*~Master Plan~*~ was to create a Renpy framework that writers could add dialogue / events / images to without needing to write code. If I could lower the bar for the community so they don't need to write code or draw art, then we could create a crowd sourced game that people could drop in and out of, so it didn't depend on any one person to commit to it.

~*~The Master Plan~*~
1) Create an open source git repository
2) Let people write their own stories / quests / content as a community effort - remove artwork & code as barriers.
3) Let them push Images + Text to the project.
4) [OPTIONAL] Have a team of people vet their pull requests for typos / canon breaking / whatever..
5) ???
6) Come back in 6 months and play it myself to see what the community created :sneaky:

Risks
- Looking at Renpy (for the first time) it doesn't seem possible to easily remove *all* coding.
(I can make it very very simple for people to copy and paste templates, but there will be a small amount of in-lining)

- Lack of interest

- Nobody wanting to contribute to a project that doesn't have financial incentive

--

Those last two are a killer.
This only works if people at scale care more about creativity / storywriting / lewd than $$.

My motivation ultimately - was to learn & try new things and give the community something interesting to engage with.

EDIT:

Master Plan-B
Help Nomo to do this to speed up their workflow / help with motivation.

Making it possible to add new scenes without any coding would be a huge amount of work, and if you were able/willing to invest the effort to do that you shouldn't be wasting the effort on KoD. A no coding interface for renpy would have a lot of demand from people who aren't interested in figuring out basic scripting to play around making vns.

It also probably wouldn't speed up making new scenes that much. Yes, the basic scripting for a scene is tedious, but it isn't very difficult. The hardest part is still just coming up with an idea, writing it and editing it.

From what I've learnt looking around in the game files and talking to people who understand it better than me, it seems like the main problem is that it's a huge pain in the ass to incorporate new scenes into the existing game, not to actually make those scenes. Partly because of how it's structured, partly because there's so little documentation. It's very frustrating.
