nope but all i see is runes when they talk :D
I think I messed up something then. You should be able to see normal letters.

Put this as a command and it should get fixed.

Started playing this and noticed a couple of typos:
I found what you asked. All the maps and plans the libreary had to offer. (library)
comence battle (commence)
But then she simply says with a nervouss giggle (nervous)

I can imagine supporting this, but I would have preferred to see at least one of the routes (especially a family fun one) in a finished state than all of the routes being worked upon at once. Just to have a better judgment of the game including the preg mechanics. I might end up supporting this game anyway, though.

Ahh thank you for letting me know.

Yeah, that's something I've been wanting to do, but I don't feel like the game has enough recognition yet and I'm afraid it'll lose steam if I take too long to publish updates. Either way thank you for considering it! Hopefully I can get it to a point in which I can earn your backing.

This is a very interesting game, it's great to see Ren'py being pushed so far into making a simulator.

If someone asked me to work on this, I'd change two things:

1) Greatly reduce the number of stats. You have more than 10 at the moment, and without knowing how each affects the game it felt a bit overwhelming. I would reduce them to something like 5 more generic stats, divided in two groups:
Attributes:
- Physique (represents strength, constitution, dexterity)
- Intellect (represents intelligence, wisdom, perception)

Education:
- Millitary (represents strategy, tactics, combat etc.)
- Governmental (administration, diplomacy, history etc.)
- Artistic (arts skills, charisma, rhetoric and such)

So having just Physique, Intellect, Millitary, Governmental and Artistic stats to pick from would make each more important to choose, each shaping your character in a stronger way.

2) Adding a "quest guide" detailing what needs to be done to progress in the routes of each girl (what place, at what time of day) and what stats would be needed to do so ("I think I need to taken more Millitary lessons before talking to her"). It would show this for all girls and designed in a way that lets you go through the route of a single character completely, if that's what the player wants -- I remember one or more games that forced you to complete one step of each girl in sequence to play the entire game, in a linear way, so you ended up having to progress with characters you might not interested in.

Very interesting project, congratulations.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the concept.

The easy mode does combine the attributes into 10 categories, sort of in the way that you described.

For the second part I am trying to give the instructions more explicitly.

Thank you for the feedback.

You forgot intrigue (spying, scheming, deception, intelligence) which is big part in the life of any ruler.
For something like specialties when you only have about 5 stats, you'd test more than one stat, say Intellect + Military (smart enough and knows tactics), to test it you're good enough at scheming / intrigue.

Edit: or Intellect + Governmental would be more appropriate for that, as politics.

I can't train any soldiers? The train button is always greyed out, and not clickable.... sry for such a novice question.

Nice game overall, more content would be nice obviously. A couple of things tho, wish there was a white outline around the char names since they are a bit dark and hard to see against a black background. Also the skill check notifications could afford to stay longer on screen. Finally kinda sad the northern women raid event only happen once, i missed it when all the skills are too low at start :(

Thank you. I'll keep in mind these criticisms for when the next version comes out. I think I can fix most of them.

While playing (starting again, as my old save was incompatible with the new version), I still find I have no idea "how" to play this game, as mentioned before. When leveling skills, am I supposed to focus on a single skill until it reaches the next "tier" (the lines that divide the skill bars, where your starting skills start filled to) in order for it to do anything and making any training until I reach that tier meaningless, or is a half-trained skill enough to pass certain checks or improve certain results? Is there a malus to your training results if you over-specialise in one skill to encourage you to spread your training around a bit, or is there nothing discouraging you from spending all day, every day training the same skills over and over? And with the randomness of events, which skills DO I actually need and which are meaningless and useless? As I mentioned before, it feels like a strategy game where you're having to make all your decisions completely blind, especially since we don't get told in enough detail what real, tangible effects the skills actually have beyond some of them letting you pass or fail certain event checks.
