I dunno. It's not like people will make 100% right decisions the first time they play anyway. Almost everything will be an uninformed decision. You just gotta jump in sometimes.
I didn't make an informed decision!
I just got 4 random options with no definition.
Then 3 more.
That's not a decision, it's a random choice.
You may as well let RNG decide it, for all it's worth.

With this many errors, awful gameplay management & total lack of introduction to/information on the choices I'm forced to make, I'm not going to bother continuing.
Thanks anyway.

You think it's better to say "You are greeted by an image of X", when you are not?
Instead of simply saying "you are met by the King", which actually does happen?
OK. That tells me everything I need to know.
Good luck with this.
I mean, yeah. There would be a lot of you met x otherwise.

Hahaha thanks.

I dunno. I feel like most players would have an idea of how they might want to solve their conflicts. Do they want to fight and be a warrior king? Are they attracted to diplomacy or subterfuge for less bloody solutions?

If making those choices informed you of their consequence, then that would be fine.
They do not.
WTF is an Intrigue path?
One of mystery? How does that affect me/my skills, my progress?
Why should I choose it?

One of stabbing people in the back and spying on them like a voyeur, I imagine.
Well that has nothing to do with "Intrigue"!
That's closer to "Cunning" or "Sly", "Saboteur". Something, anything, but not intrigue.
Intrigue means to arouse curiosity.
So if I choose Intrigue, I'll presumably be a curious prince?
Great.

Define the terms, in the game. So that we know what we're choosing & why.
It's simple.

You should have gone for the second definition.

"The secret planning of something illicit or detrimental."

At the time of choosing, you have no idea of who or what you'll need them for.
Define them, it's simple.
If I choose skill X, I gain attributes A, B & C.
If I choose skill Y, I gain attributes C, D & E.
Allow players to make informed choices, not force them to make blind ones from a completely uninformed position.
That's pretty basic.

What does being a Steward give me? Again, why should I choose it?
Am I looking after someone's property, or passengers? What does this entail? What does it do? Why would I want this?

Without definition, all we have are assumptions & we all know what it does when we assume something.
Makes an ass out of u & me.

I do want to be more clear as to what they do once they start playing, but I'm ok with the player guessing at the very beginning, especially if it's their first time. I like the mysterious black screen start. It's not the end of the playthrough if they choose "wrong."

It would be a fair assumption to think that you would look after some property in a game about feudalism.

So you actually want the player to assume something, rather than inform them and, even if (big IF) it turns out correct, what the hell does the Steward path do? Make me good at running a hotel? Looking after property? Great. What the hell does that do?
Good luck with this.
Hard delete from me, I'm afraid.

Hahaha I had already assumed you did. But honestly, thanks for trying the game and the feedback on typos.

I just

I'm watching a debate between "a guy who wants a lot" VS "a guy who wants to do (just the right amount)"

I joined this community just 2 months ago, and I already love it
Lol I'm glad you're enjoying it.
