TL;DR: High-profile and complex games require longer time to localize. It is foolish to think that Kagura will drop a game before they actually announce they drop it; none of us here are Kagura's insiders. If you care about a game that is in translation status by a localizer, visit that localizer and let them know. It shows support and reminds them the game has a fanbase waiting.

The uploader doesn't get a say in whether it is broken or not and the developer isn't on this forum. There is nobody to fix it. Also, it could potentially be a translated variable causing the crashes given this is MTL, which is allowed because it is still English even if it is broken English.

I'm aware of the art issue, but that just means peope should stop waiting for it just because another translator has it. If I had the ability, I'm going to assume basic Japanese reading won't cut it in something this big, I would be working on it regardless like the group effort here for Imouto Life!? Monochrome. I don't wait if I have the option not to.
As for the scope of the project, given they have others, that's the problem, they take too much at one time and create a bottleneck that causes multiple year delays between when they get the projects and when they finish them. There are games that have been waiting even longer on Kagura's list.

It's a challenge. It means there's a choice in the story and a tangible consequence if one fails. That's at least why I look for the question. It's also a decent gauge for how much effort was actually put into the story. On the flip side if the NTR is unavoidable those looking for it can sometimes expect a more varied or dedicated execution of the concept whereas if it is avoidable there's a decent chance the NTR was just thrown in as one of many options rather than being a main draw.

Here's the deal with the "better than nothing" mentality. If you're playing a game and you have no clue what to do because you can't understand what's going on in the story via the presented text, that's a problem. And if it's in "english" and it's still such a mess you can't understand what you need to be doing, it's just as big of a problem. Hell, it might be an even BIGGER problem because they can end up telling you something that is completely wrong due to it being a horrid translation error and then bam, you're even worse off than before.
Sure, it's not like you need to be able to understand what's going on to enjoy the porn, but if you're not gonna read the nonsense text you don't understand, why even play the game? There's a CG gallery out there that does that for you. And in that logic as well, why even play some bad unofficial translation, just wait for an official one. Being "that guy" who just hates on a company cuz they're charging money for a game that they're uncensoring and translating is just silly.

This edited MTL of Knights of Messiah, from what I've seen so far, is lacking those exact nuances I referred to. Best to wait for either better human TL or Kagura's version.
