Lots of people complaining about AA2 being worse than KK or impossible to run. It sounds like no one here has ever heard of Artificial Academy Unlimited. Can get the full release for it from Github

AAU is basically a massive modded overhaul of AA2. They tore all the internal files apart, improved stability/performance on modern computers, massively cut down file bloat (Game size is a fraction of what it once was), simple all-in-one installer(Extremely easy to download, install, and run. Guy above has definitely never heard of it if he thinks it is difficult to do.), the ability for the player to be raped by NPCs with written-from-scratch NPC H-AI that depends on their traits/modules, and greatly extended the customization with more slots, sliders, flips, and entirely new options.

, which are all new traits such as Banchou, Clique, Wimp, Succubus, Cuck, Crush, Cheater, Voyeur, Detective, Christian, Ambusher, the 50+ supernatural traits, Corruption, Corruptor, Compensated Dating, multiple variants of Yandere/Yangire, Marriage, and another 200+. Many of which come with entirely new game mechanics. The new mechanics are accessed through vanilla UI and interact options, so they can be a bit hard to use if you don't read the module's instructions first.

AAU is still actively updated. Last release version of it was just last month.

i agree. KK may have a good graphics/anime art and has story but what makes AA2 unique is the ability of every NPC to react on certain things (what they hear/ what they see) they aren't just there to be your girlfriend and later fucked they compete with other NPC's too.

as i always said aa is the best illusion game as gameplay,but just to get it started you have to install direct9x, Microsoft Visual C ++ 2015, NET Core 3.1 Runtime. And then to not have lag you have to change the setting in win10fix from original to voodoo 2, and then there are always a lot of crashes, I agree to say that it is the best game that the Illusion did but by now it has become shit.

I don't care what drawings do on a screen. obvious that some games the AI makes a difference but I'm talking about titles like skirym, fallout, gta. but AA2 is a porn game and in a porn game I just want to fuck everything I see. KK puts 38 girls and 3 prof. in all 41 npc to fuck. they don't seem few to me.

This is a Breath of the Wild (AA2 in the analogy) vs. Skyward Sword (KK) type of discussion. They're both Zelda games, yet they're vastly different games within themselves. BotW is a systemic/sandbox game where you're just part of the world, Skyward Sword is a mostly linear game where you're strapped to a roller-coaster. There are people who like both, and there are people who like one over the other, and it comes down to them being two different games, no matter the title.

The same goes with AA2 and KK. They both take place in a school, they both let you fuck around, but in the end AA2 is a systemic/sandbox game and KK ... less so (haven't played through it). Their similarities are mostly on the surface level.

That said, having enjoyed Sex Beach Premium Resort I wonder how much systemic/sandbox content will be in KKS. Like if you could create your own entire game with all custom characters. How much of the NPC behaviour is based on hard-scripts, random, or internal systems you can manipulate.

One thing that I liked about AA2 was that NPCs would always do their own things, but it was neither random, nor scripted, but based on internal states you could learn and manipulate. For example if you got a girl horny she would run to a quiet place to masturbate. You could then watch here, get her to fuck you, or disturb her making her hate you. Maybe I just never learned it, but this was kinda missing/not so good in AIS.

I feel like i liked AA2 more just because it felt less focused on my character lol. I dont really like the idea of a game that simulates a bunch of people but all of those people revolve around you and dont interact with each other meaningfully.

I still like KK but id like it if the girls talked to each other and did things together without me. It would be neat if they had opinions about each other or talked to you about them.

Yeah if you just glance at both games, they'll seem extremely similar, but they're actually very different games. Gotta try both to get a good feel for them.

I wouldn't call the current AA2 installation easy or a single download or anything after trying it out. Gotta DL a lot of shit from different places (As least they're mostly contained to the same media fire account) with different installation methods and warnings and shit just to get the "recommended" mods. It's better than before because most of it is posted in one spot, but it's still not as straightforward as it could be. The "Allow people to pick and choose" what files to install stuff is what causes a lot of the problems. Everybody just keeps adding more optional stuff until new people can't figure anything out, stuff starts breaking, mod requirement file downloads disappear or become outdated, etc, etc.

Then we're back to square one of the game being a nightmare to install and play with some shit that should just be included by default. I still haven't gotten some of the mods to work (Additional cum positions seems missing for one, Portable Jizou statue doesn't seem to work even though it's listed as active in scripts, etc), I dunno why something like the additional cum positions that only adds content to the game should be optional for example. Most of those mods just seem like straight improvements, not just an alternate to an existing system.

Maybe I'll go check out the AA2 thread. Similar issues with both games so it's kind of a cross conversation. At least the game works I suppose, after some tweaking.

aa2 is old and the mods that can be put are very limited so it is better not to use them or use a few, otherwise there are problems, the fact is that no one has never made something like a framework to remedy it.

The last time we could be a female was in AA2 in 2014. It feels like forever ago even though it wasn't. I enjoyed how we had more freedom then and it wasn't a harem sim. Illusion only makes Harem Sims whether its consensual or not it still Harem Sims only these days. The gameplay was more varied in their older titles, to say the least. I mean they made Battle Raper, Artificial Girl, Des Blood, Yusha Kara Wa Nigerarenai!, and more. Now its just 1 male and endless pussies dripping only for him either willingly or forcefully.

2014?! That can't be right ... but it is. That's the same year they switched to Unity with HaremMate.
It's about the time I started playing Illusion games, and from the feeling of it I thought AA2 was one of their older games at the time. I've been playing through a lot of their games in a short time back then (ah, the bliss), and AA2 felt rather unpolished in comparison with stuff like School Mate, or Wakeari! (still one of my favourites).

Also I agree that the lack of yuri and other men in the game is really hurting it. I'm not into yuri, and love having a harem, but missing those two features makes finally getting that harem far less interesting, and challenging. Having yuri going on in your harem is always nice, and other men gives you opponents to fight. I really don't know who they're doing this for. My best guess is that their head-honcho is really into harem and nothing else, and forcing their games to go into that direction.

well Illusion is a company that has to make money and that is why with HaremMate it switched to Unity, in fact all the games before have a lot of problems (including AA2 which as it is now has become crap). and aside from personal tastes, in my opinion there are more people who simply want to have sex with everyone they see and are not interested in playing a flirting simulator, because to see people flirting just look out the window.

that's exactly what I think, in KK the protagonist as well as talking and running around does nothing else, and the girls will seem to be blind, I don't think it's a bad idea in a porn game to have more girls, but at least I would like them to have different reactions between them. now in kk you fuck them all and you get engaged with them all because "nothing happens anyway"
