People play illusions games for the gameplay?

Sorry, im not trying to be a dick, this is genuine question (only played Hs1, Hs2, Ai, KK), played the games for 2 hours and go straight back to the studio, the sheer amount of mods and chara is amazing. As long as this game has improve studio, im satisfy
Yeah, just people hoping they'll go back to some semblance of gameplay instead of all in on the animation viewer shit. Artifical Academy is such a simple premise and for some reason, like no professional H games will touch on it again/expand on it. Easier just to add a few more options to their character creators every year and resell the same game I guess. They have that Elder Scrolls model where the modders make their games while they do jack all (Really, who would play these games without mods?).

Sunshine seemed like they might be going towards more content outside viewing sex scenes, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Base Koikatsu seemed like it might be good too, but I didn't like it. All they really seemed to do is gate content. It was a step down from AA in a lot of ways and they seemed to want to take it into a different focus (Shitty story mode over improving the ai, adding more to do outside of sex, etc).

Post below touches on a lot of the points that people liked about it. AA2 was a legit simulation game and not just "Bang every character" like most Illusion games now. If they expanded on that, that could create a really amazing game. It was actually fun to play outside of fapping basically. Name another Illusion game like that.

How AA2 play compare to KK ? i have heard so many goods thing about it
Well, you're playing in a regular class/school (meaning co-ed, not the only male, unless you make your class so). The students might like or hate eache other, go for karaoke or learning/training, fuck each other (with potentially even cheating on their partner), break up, get into a relationship, get mad/in the mood if they see others doing stuff. Stuff you'd see in a normal class (well, except that you probably won't find orgies in normal schools).

Not like the AI was something mindbreaking or something, but noticing "wait, what? These 2 are going out?" was quite cool. Gave it a bit of an impression that they weren't just character you made to fuck any time and don't care if you fuck everyone else. Had a bit some "sim" feeling.

Not sure if that was a mod, but i think that's also the only illusion game that allowed male on male sex, since you can make everyone straight, bi or gay (or leaning towards straight/gay)

just to add on there are alot of character trait mods last i replayed it. You can apply tons of personality and create unique characters, like yandere/bullies/pregnancy etc. Then just play the game and watch how shit unfolds.

eg. A is a yandere character in love with you (player), you are trying to woo C, A hates C and may 1 day murder her, B woos A and eventually gets her.

If I recall correctly you could also switch which character you're playing each day. So you could play the horny boy going after girls one day, and the next you could play the horny teacher of the same class going after the student.

I should really play that again. It's what got me hooked on Illusion next to School-Mate which to this day has the best sex-system of them all if you ask me.

that's right, in my opinion AA as gameplay is better than koikatsu, the problem is that more than a porn game AA is a porn simulator, in fact you cannot create harem because if they see you they interrupt you and brand you as a cheater, in fact I have always asked myself to what is the use of a class. just to see people flirting?

if only KK used the same system in AA like how NPC's react(depend on each traits) if they see their love flirting with others then that would be a great improvement to the game.

there is an option where you can put the cards from ai shoujo to kk?
Illusion basically has 2 game branches right now, the "realistic graphic" games, and the "anime graphic" games. The cards of a game are compatible with games of the same branch, but I don't think they work across those branches.

The realistic branch would be AI Shoujo, and Honey Select1/2.

And the anime branch would be Koikatsu, Emotion Creator, and the new Koikatsu Sunshine.

I don't think either of those branche's cards are compatible with their older games, before they switched to Unity (like Artificial Academy 2).

Compatibility is usually only working as long as illusion didnt change the foundation of the game. (which is still more than we got a decade ago, where nothing really was compatible.)

AIS, HS2 are compatible because they are built on the same foundation, the same goes for the two Koikatsu games and Emotion Creators.
In the past, I think that HS1 and Playclub/PlayHome or so where compatible to some degree.

Didnt Illusion buy "Teatime" or whatever that company was? I would argue that the "Koikatsu" branch is from them, and the "realistic" stuff is from Illusion. There are significant differences in terms of menu layouts, bones in the characters and performance side of things.

it's an old game and very difficult to get started, I don't recommend it.

Lots of people complaining about AA2 being worse than KK or impossible to run. It sounds like no one here has ever heard of Artificial Academy Unlimited. Can get the full release for it from Github .

AAU is basically a massive modded overhaul of AA2. They tore all the internal files apart, improved stability/performance on modern computers, massively cut down file bloat (Game size is a fraction of what it once was), simple all-in-one installer(Extremely easy to download, install, and run. Guy above has definitely never heard of it if he thinks it is difficult to do.), the ability for the player to be raped by NPCs with written-from-scratch NPC H-AI that depends on their traits/modules, and greatly extended the customization with more slots, sliders, flips, and entirely new options.

The biggest change of which is the , which are all new traits such as Banchou, Clique, Wimp, Succubus, Cuck, Crush, Cheater, Voyeur, Detective, Christian, Ambusher, the 50+ supernatural traits, Corruption, Corruptor, Compensated Dating, multiple variants of Yandere/Yangire, Marriage, and another 200+. Many of which come with entirely new game mechanics. The new mechanics are accessed through vanilla UI and interact options, so they can be a bit hard to use if you don't read the module's instructions first.

AAU is still actively updated. Last release version of it was just last month.

i agree. KK may have a good graphics/anime art and has story but what makes AA2 unique is the ability of every NPC to react on certain things (what they hear/ what they see) they aren't just there to be your girlfriend and later fucked they compete with other NPC's too.

Even I didn't know about this, thanks for the info. Last I checked on how to modding community was doing for AA2, it was still a mess and the closest to an all in one package had a massive filesize and seemed like a Frankenstein monster, lol. This sounds promising. The OP for F95zone doesn't really sell/explain the new version well. Doesn't even really seem like the default there is now this version.

As great as this might be, they do an absolutely terrible job in explaining how to install for the first time.
I'm guessing you need a vanilla AA2? Because they don't mentioning anything there except "if you already have it install, do x, but no clue if i downloaded the wrong one, since i don't know if i'm supposed to have the play and edit .exes from that download or not. They kinda skip crucial part in the tutorial if i'm required to have AA2 beforehand.

Read the full thing. Particularly the AA2MiniPPX section of the install guide.
