The dev made a remark on twitter about the fan translation that was available here and how it's availability on this website could cause more piracy. They also stated their irrational resentment of all the people of this forum after learning about it.
There's a huge difference between being a racist, and judging groups of similar people. I used to have an irrational distaste for southern Americans. Nothing crazy, I didn't hate anyone for it, I was just a bit more judgmental because of stereotypes. I'm fairly sure that didn't make me a racist, just a bit of a naive asshole. After having those thoughts challenged by many lovely southern people, I've made it a point to not judge people on appearance or where their from.
They don't appear to be racist, they just said some irrational stuff while angry. If the dev was truly hateful of all English speaking individuals and not just the people here, then there wouldn't be an official translation. I don't want to make the same mistake as the dev and overly judge someone I don't know. Although, if the dev does something else stupid, I'm out. I just don't like the idea of tar and feathering the dev over a misunderstanding.
I'm just rambling about my perspective. If I'm missing information, like the dev eats puppies/kittens or beats up the poor, let me know. I don't have a problem with my optimism being wrong, that would just save me money.
