I'm_fine. well it isn't open source and as far as I know it's not possible to make it open source currently so anyone wanting to do a restart so would have to completely clean. It would not be an easy task....plus as this Dev claims that they are still working on it and from how they reacted to a translation mod being made....I wouldn't be surprised if the Dev attempts to claim copyright or something against whomever attempts to do so.
So doubt an exact copy will be made....maybe a reskin instead if someone with the skills and time decides to do so.
Edit: Barely any game engines make it so the games packaged up/made from them can be opened up even partially to the same degree as how the developer had them shown to them during their development process. As a result modding games are usually done by using programs that essentially hack the games and allow you to do nearly open heart surgery on them while maybe blind or with no assistance. As with

you get a nice fairly customizable setup and display of roughly what the game looks like from multiple perspectives and an windows file explorer layout of the assets and code files that you can edit right away with standard coding software tool that can auto complete code or point out errors. The only biggest exception to this is Twine I believe since I've been able to put it and all the files back into Twine and pretty much work flawlessly to edit it all. I believe that as a result anyone whom mods a (non-Twine) game past an certain extent should have enough experience to attempt to make their own
Very short game to see if they fancy and can deal with the extra work that can come with it all.
