A couple more recent tweets (6 days ago):

We've passed a stage, so it's time to start moving.

It takes a certain amount of determination to throw yourself into erotic creation in this state of mind.
So, development may be going again?
Would be nice to get something public released this side of Easter. Non-VN/RPGM male protag-dominant female isn't something that crops as often as I'd like.

I wouldn't hold my hopes for it since they hadn't said anything was maybe due to come out or looking complete prior to them stopping due to the family member collapse back in December. Their reputation/track record with this project I would argue means it best to never expect it to come or stay up at night for it but remember to check on it once a while to see if has progressed.

Considering developer's progress over past few years, safe to say it's just an abandoned project (1 new character every 2 years if we are lucky can't even be considered an update). Copium can be nice but it's not the case where you can use it

From what I saw from his tweets and Ci-en posts, this guy had a abusive job that sent him to the hospital some time ago, and now he is dealing with a familiar with health problems.

So, dude is having a complicated life these last few years it seems, and all of this lefts him with 0 motivation.

At this point I would expected him to give up in this project entirely, but for some reason he keeps saying from time to time that he will come back to it even though he says he has no motivation.

Its impressive that in august from last year he said he was finally coming back to the project, and now in january apperantly his familiar passed away and now he stoped again because he is depressed

Damn, their whole life is sounding pretty brutal at the moment. I hope they pull through this soon and have a solid support system to help them.

None of that is new news to me (I recall it all being mentioned in previous posts) which while it's all not good news what I find concerning is with the fact that the guy is coming back to the project before his bad stuff is resolved and he has motivation for developing it again.....otherwise he's ending up in a loop of starting work again and getting reminded that he still has bad other things going on while his motivation is too low for working on the project to be a good distraction.

So, dev abandoned this game ~2 years ago, and then, suddenly, appeared half a year ago in August, made a post about being diagnosed with cholecystitis in early August and announced that everything is fine now so he's back on the track and plans to continue the development. Then, in December, he twitted that his family member fallen ill and died, so he's "going to stop completely", and recently twitted that he can't force himself to work on "naughty shit" in this state of mind.
Damn, what a rollercoaster of emotions :(

I think the developer is passionate about the work he put out, but he just needs to find the time to center himself and find the drive again to start development. I don't think development will resume anytime this year; however, looking towards the future, I can potentially see it being restarted potentially in 2025. Just my speculation though

looking at this completely objectively, with the fact that he was working on this project while many bad things have happened to him, i dont think theres a chance of this game ever returning unless theres a big incentive for the dev to do so.

There is a small chance of him adding the fox merchant H scenes to the game still, as he was working on it way back in 2022, and he even posted a image of her H scene in his Ci en. But after this (If it ever happens), I think the project will officialy die for sure, because there is no way in hell he will ever work on the rest of the monster girls he had planned.

And another thing, I know this dev had a difficult life this past few years and is still going through stuff, but I don't think its fair for him to keep accepting subs in his Cien given that he has basically done nothing for 2 years (maybe 3). So, kinda of a wrong move there

I'm_fine. well it isn't open source and as far as I know it's not possible to make it open source currently so anyone wanting to do a restart so would have to completely clean. It would not be an easy task....plus as this Dev claims that they are still working on it and from how they reacted to a translation mod being made....I wouldn't be surprised if the Dev attempts to claim copyright or something against whomever attempts to do so.

So doubt an exact copy will be made....maybe a reskin instead if someone with the skills and time decides to do so.

Edit: Barely any game engines make it so the games packaged up/made from them can be opened up even partially to the same degree as how the developer had them shown to them during their development process. As a result modding games are usually done by using programs that essentially hack the games and allow you to do nearly open heart surgery on them while maybe blind or with no assistance. As with and you get a nice fairly customizable setup and display of roughly what the game looks like from multiple perspectives and an windows file explorer layout of the assets and code files that you can edit right away with standard coding software tool that can auto complete code or point out errors. The only biggest exception to this is Twine I believe since I've been able to put it and all the files back into Twine and pretty much work flawlessly to edit it all. I believe that as a result anyone whom mods a (non-Twine) game past an certain extent should have enough experience to attempt to make their own Very short game to see if they fancy and can deal with the extra work that can come with it all.
