What you you mean, "overall"? It just seems like you're moving the goalpost at this point. Koikatsu and SchoolMate are pretty easy examples of a AAA H game. These games are not vastly known in the west because porn is a taboo, but a LOT of money was spend in them and they are huge in Japan. Some of them have their own engine, too.
What is AAA H game even supposed to be in this discussion? Depending on the interpretation, both of you and Rat-Attack could be right. If AAA H games are H games with higher development cost and quality than the average H games then there are AAA H games out there and studio specifically developing them both in japan and outside of japan.

If we use non H game standard as comparison however, then Rat-attack is right. While games like Koikatsu and SchoolMate cost a lot of time and money to develop, they're nothing compared to non-H AAA games.

Rosswel My quoted comment was in response to someone asking if another game with similar quality to this exists where I mentioned AAA H-game since the graphical quality is top notch. However it wasn't intended to start a discussion about industry stuff which is why I said for hmtot to DM me as I question how it relates to this game as that point and even now. (I've never heard of Koikatsu and SchoolMate and could only find SchoolMate on here with barely any reviews and short threads)

Also I do feel that using what is already established as being AAA non-H game industry is the right comparison since if a H-game did well enough then it would show then of how it's a step above the rest. (Subverse had the makings of it but has floundered since I feel despite good graphical design and marketing, the gameplay+development stuff killed all that momentum and expectations for being it)

The question has been asked previously about it and well the answer has been fairly clear, here's some links to stuff I found from a quick google search:

Anyway I won't be responding about this any further here since there is discussions on this site about this already where this can be talked about, or you can make your own.

I can easily disprove that with an example. What were AAA games 20 years ago? The AAA H games I mentioned are more popular than many considered AAA games long ago. You can't compare an industry to another, we're talking about H games, so we shouldn't use non-H games, and its hundred of billions dollars industry.
But then again, we're discussing semantics here. My point here was to disagree with the statement "There is no triple A level H game industry.....only unfinished aspirations that could have been the start of one. ", which in my opinion, is just an ignorant statement, especially considering the relative size of the industry in Japan. The only reason the absolute numbers don't compare to non-H games is because porn is taboo in the west (to be honest, everywhere else in the world), so the comparison, and using non-H games as a way to disprove my statement that there are AAA H games is extremely dishonest.
We're biased for living in the west, but 'sex sells', and the porn industry is underrated. If you search Koikatsu or Honey select development cost, or Illusion net worth before closing down, you'll see how it's not so far from other AAA japanese games, especially considering not only the taboo and piracy, but how some games aren't even allowed to be sold outside Japan.
Either way, I don't think I'll be able to have a healthy and productive discussion with Rat-attack, nor do I desire to do so, I kinda know how conversations usually go with these people. But if you want to keep the discussion going, I'll be glad to respond.

It seems to me that all of this discussion boils down to both of you having different perceptive on what a AAA H game is supposed to be. With all due respect however, I feel like you already have bad prejudice on Rat-attack's opinion

Yes, we already established that and I explained my point of view. I also explained how it's not exclusively about semantics.

AAA hentai game supposed to have open world, lots of playable female characters, orgy, lesbians, good breast physics, some action, maybe cars with guns, tons of different animations, deep character customization editor, and many more. It does NOT have to be fantasy middle age

upd. If Stellar Blade had open world and sex stuff like Genshin Impact and RDR2 mechanics with similar gameplay parts

Also don't consider this game abandoned unless it's reached more than 2 years of nothingness as the Dev is known for long periods of silence.

I think its fair to consider it abandoned as of now. From 2022 to 2024, he only made two posts promising he would start working on the game again, but nothing came out of it. He isn't totally radio silent, but it does not mean he will ever take this game foward too. As of now, we don't even know if we will ever see him again

hurrdurrderpderp Sadly he's not the only one that's been able to gain a big enough following that even when they go dead silent that people whom don't check up often enough to remove their pledges so they can lay back and enjoy free money essentially. It's another reason to support the Devs after they've released their games instead of before where you easily end up giving them 2-3x the price of the games. There's many examples of this occurring on the site and still are going after many years of it....but that's my opinion on the matter from what I've seen.

Life goals right there, do nothing, get free money. All he needs to do is make one post on his ci en a year, and people will keep paying him.

I remember. There was such a famous donation collector.
This was promised in a year but took 13 years and was even done by other people
