Not until there's a release.Dev is back, this tag can be changed now :3
is this updated now?TLDR -- As expected hes been very busy with work/life, changing the internal programming of the game in ways we probably won't even see, he had a medical incident recently that caused him to be hospitalized but now hes back home in a less stressful environment that lets him concentrate more on the game.
- Hes working on more programming and models for the game and wants to put a new trial, but it might be a while.
- Hes put the 'monster girl removes clothing' back into the game after it had previously been removed to save resources and time since it requires individual animations. i think he feels like it brings more eroticism to the game if she force undresses you.
- The UI has been updated and now includes an improved visual appearance to the transparent display.
---
The progress of the game from a content perspective has been slow, the dev is obviously very obsessed with creating the right systems for the game even if it means going back and forth implementing, removing, reimplementing and optimizing each of them at a time. Its the kind of perfectionist internal strife that plagues most masterpieces in art prior to their eventual release, without this level of obsession, the game would not have garnered as much interest and attention as it has, therefore it is both a blessing and a curse.
For our sake we can only hope that the systems he has built are easily reproducible within the modelling part of development, as implementation of new models (new characters) each with their own set of animations is time consuming in it's own, hopefully what he has done can be integrated easily after the models themselves as complete, If so, once he is finally satisfied with the state of the game as it relates to the engine and the development tools hes been making, he can enter into the second stage of actually making game assets.
Hes eating all of his vegetables first and saving the meat and dessert for last.
No though the developer is alive, now well, and has mentioned they may release an updated demo when they feel like it.is this updated now?
Just wanted to say, you ended up correct, I and others were wrong. Thanks for understanding our concerns with lacking context. Hopefully the game can soon be taken off the abandoned list. You must be registered to see the links
Hopefully he means something on Ci-en regarding development of the game.
Honestly my thoughts on this Dev worry and surprise me at this point since I've looked a bit into game development and a lot of work is put into setting the foundation for the graphics and actual gameplay which goes through apparently a lot of rewrites, changes and UI refactors that we don't know about. Poor planning of these as to where you end up deciding what you aren't going to include rather than include everything and it be an impossible project results in well the project getting trashed or put into development hell as the Devs loses interest/passion for making the game.Well, at least he posted something on Ci-En again.
It's kind of weird move (developement-wise) to refactor his current spaghetti code into Unity's basic behavioral tree given there is only two monster girls right now (three, counting unimplemented merchant Fox). And I honestly didn't expect him to refactor UI for the fourth time.
Yeah, he should seriously move on from the UI. It is finished imo.Well, at least he posted something on Ci-En again.
