oh good, game's not abandoned. was worried when i saw the "abandoned" tag, but seems it's just weird site rules that added the tag.

TLDR -- As expected hes been very busy with work/life, changing the internal programming of the game in ways we probably won't even see, he had a medical incident recently that caused him to be hospitalized but now hes back home in a less stressful environment that lets him concentrate more on the game.

- Hes working on more programming and models for the game and wants to put a new trial, but it might be a while.

- Hes put the 'monster girl removes clothing' back into the game after it had previously been removed to save resources and time since it requires individual animations. i think he feels like it brings more eroticism to the game if she force undresses you.

- The UI has been updated and now includes an improved visual appearance to the transparent display.

---

The progress of the game from a content perspective has been slow, the dev is obviously very obsessed with creating the right systems for the game even if it means going back and forth implementing, removing, reimplementing and optimizing each of them at a time. Its the kind of perfectionist internal strife that plagues most masterpieces in art prior to their eventual release, without this level of obsession, the game would not have garnered as much interest and attention as it has, therefore it is both a blessing and a curse.

For our sake we can only hope that the systems he has built are easily reproducible within the modelling part of development, as implementation of new models (new characters) each with their own set of animations is time consuming in it's own, hopefully what he has done can be integrated easily after the models themselves as complete, If so, once he is finally satisfied with the state of the game as it relates to the engine and the development tools hes been making, he can enter into the second stage of actually making game assets.

Hes eating all of his vegetables first and saving the meat and dessert for last.

Well hearing that back end of the game is built well is good development. I look forwards to keeping the high frame rate I can find in this game. On the note of the in-game changes I do think that either direction is fine. Adding the take strip animations back in does give the monster girls their own unique 'attack'. My eye will back on that Ci-En feed.

Well, at least he posted something on Ci-En again.
It's kind of weird move (developement-wise) to refactor his current spaghetti code into Unity's basic behavioral tree given there is only two monster girls right now (three, counting unimplemented merchant Fox). And I honestly didn't expect him to refactor UI for the fourth time.

Hopefully he means something on Ci-en regarding development of the game.
Just wanted to say, you ended up correct, I and others were wrong. Thanks for understanding our concerns with lacking context. Hopefully the game can soon be taken off the abandoned list.

Honestly my thoughts on this Dev worry and surprise me at this point since I've looked a bit into game development and a lot of work is put into setting the foundation for the graphics and actual gameplay which goes through apparently a lot of rewrites, changes and UI refactors that we don't know about. Poor planning of these as to where you end up deciding what you aren't going to include rather than include everything and it be an impossible project results in well the project getting trashed or put into development hell as the Devs loses interest/passion for making the game.

This overall makes me feel like (if this hasn't been said already which it probably has) that this is an new Dev or an inexperienced one with making a game nearly solo with them only continuing with this as there's nothing like this game full stop so their passion for making this game is constantly refilled as they go "Fine, I'll do it myself" when they look for porn games themselves. So they are probably putting a lot of time into this but are redoing a lot due to learning as they go and thus making changes that overall help however due to not planning out the game (in part from not knowing what's possible and not maybe) they only realize problems design wise after they've started to see the impact resulting in the foundation of the game probably also changing or hasn't yet set.

PS I don't recall encountering bugs when I've played this in the past so I wonder how much time they've spent purging them and looking for them along with exploits which adds to my belief that this is a real passion for the Dev and also sadly one that won't be finished any time in the next few years until they get all the foundations set. I hope it does get finished as it seem like it will end up being a great game I feel unlike cubeworld turned out in the end.

Yeah, he should seriously move on from the UI. It is finished imo.
But I'm kinda curious how his game functions under the hood now.

If I'm getting the correct impression, the current changes will make everything easier to work with when adding new enemy types, as the AI can transform into something more modular and less complex in the editor and to refer to. Especially with scriptable objects. I think he could now change and assemble each broken up part of the AI that is nessesary for that specific enemy type and change around their variables to make them feel very different.
