I really don't know how it's going to be done in a way that's believable. Will there be a LOT of broken hearts coming up? Six of the LIs, including ones that are fully incompatible with the MCs alignment are: 1) very clearly falling for the mc; and 2) most can be flirted with, several having lewd scenes; and 3) many look to have feelings involved and showed vulnerability.
It feels like it's going to be really weird, take for example Miranda. She, as one example, is very clearly falling for the MC., and then something is just going to click and she'll say "Nah bro, you're too Altruistic or Selfish for me. If you were more neutral then I'd be in love with you."
There are some similarities in the way the alignment mechanic works, sure. But that's where it ends.
In your example, if the alignment didn't match then the LI path didn't progress and they stayed friends.
In this game, at the end of Episode 3 six of the nine LIs are absolutely, and very clearly, falling for the MC. Regardless of MCs alignment. And then at some point, they'll all pull a full 180 and be "Nah bro, it was all a psych because you aren't selfish/selfless/neutral enough for me."
You are a saint, willing to take that burden on to protect all our innocent minds from that horrible perversion.

I think a cool idea is maybe they are on some kind of date or something, then there is full confessions, kissing, leading right into the room, getting full lewd scene, as they let their feelings fully take effect, in passion.
That would be my ideal scenario. Either way hope for a lot of content and her first lewd scene of some kind next episode.
It is only 2 scenes,plus there is a skip icon lol
Maybe it's how I'm playing the game, but I'm not getting that vibe. Or at least giving the player an out wouldn't be too difficult to conceive of.
The only problem I can conceive of having in my current playthrough is Olive (who I can't bring myself to be mean to because being mean FEELS BAD) and Miranda. Who's currently the only potential LI I've gotten a scene with
MM even had an out for at least one of the potential 9 LI, but it was burned on a character who (allegedly) isn't a Main girl

Change the text box opacity in the settings/prefs.
For some strange reason it was maxed out by default with Episode 3 release.
literally the 1st thing I did when I started a new save and saw it happen in the first few renders

I mostly agree with this. Writing around Aurora seems very simplistic, for example. If the player doesn't want a relationship, just turn her down and brush it off as a skill issue. Shouldn't have been a bitch to Tall Handsome Charismatic MC for literally no reason, homegirl
The teachers could just be like " hey we're supposed to be the adults here", etc
I might be stupid, went through the setting about ten times and just didn't see it

You see, if you don't fix the opacity, on every frame you need to H to look at the pretty pictures, thereby doubling your playing time and making it look like you are getting twice as much content.

Oh you can certainly avoid lewd or romantic scenes with all of them, I won't argue that. But several of the LIs (Aurora, Miranda, Olive, and Taylor, in particular) even if you don't pick their options, will admit or show having like/love/infatuation feelings for the MC. In the way they talk, their thoughts, and when they talk to other side characters.
I initially thought it was trying to give the player a chance to try out and find their preferred LIs, but that doesn't really work because you have to have pre-planned what alignment you want quite early in. Maybe there'll be enough time to re-orient an alignment in the next episodes, as long it's not too far on either Altruistic or Selfish extremes. I guess time will tell.
I genuinely think most are overthinking the alignment stuff. I can think of several plausible scenarios to break off relationships and I am not a smart person at all.
