This version of LoK is abandoned. The remake of this has been in the works for about a year already.Did the patreon shekel goblins finally abandon LOK for good?
Damn, looks like we'll have to give it another year then eh?This version of LoK is abandoned. The remake of this has been in the works for about a year already.
It took them almost three years to get this version where it is at this point, so I personally won't expect anything near this level of polish and content within a year.Damn, looks like we'll have to give it another year then eh?
Yeah, fair enough. But still, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.Actually, most of the work was done the first year and possibly a quarter. The other nine months before they decided to restart development were less productive because of personal reasons.
In any case, it doesn't make much sense to guesstimate/compare times, because the number of staff and scope of both versions are very different.
I meant that we'll have to wait another year for it to get abandoned again. I've seen so many games tank and you'd have to actively try and not see the signs in this specimen. They make a metric ass-ton of money from Patreon with nearly 2000 patrons but I can't tell what they're spending it on, it also adds to know that they've privated how much they make through patreon, god knows why. Hopefully Im wrong, but I sure wouldn't count on it.Yeah, fair enough. But still, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.
Living, for starters. Things like rent and food cost money.I can't tell what they're spending it on
Are you trying to say that they're spending ima say around 75000$ (keep in mind this number is pretty generous) a year on living cost? I know they're gonna deny that they make that much but that's around the average just under 2000 patrons get you and they've private how much they make for a reason. Furthermore, Yandev makes more progress on his game and he has 4x less than that amount to play around with.Living, for starters. Things like rent and food cost money.
Yeah mods are surprisingly trigger happy arent they?Wow... someone deleted my post.
So, this is when I just jump out of here. Too similar to Patreon for my liking.
Bye.
They were/are rebuilding it from scratch, c.I've been trying to find some posts that would tell me exactly what happened to the game (I didn't follow it for a while) but there's just too many posts. Could any kind sould tell me in short why they've started it again with a less attractive characters? Did their artist abandoned them or something so they've had to start from scratch?
I know there were other games based around Krystal, were they by the same team? Also can someone give me a brief rundown on each? They were/are rebuilding it from scratch, c.You must be registered to see the links.
There even are a tech demo and some gif/mp4 preview files.
LoK:Rebirth and its remake are both by the same devs. Other than that there are many other LoK games out there. Mainly Flash games. But those are not relevant to Rebirth apart from the fact they're based on the same IP.I know there were other games based around Krystal, were they by the same team? Don't know how you came to that conclusion. There's a remake. In fact, pretty much a years worth of posts in this thread are about the remake. So the entire game is abandon? No new game, no old game and fuck the patrons?

as I wrote before. They are working hard to achieve even more than there has been before, thus there is no reason to insult them. That will be the greatest LOK game. I already tested a tech demo in July, so just be patient.
Here are some impressions from patreon posts:

Where can I download your game, dude? As soon as I realized you were making a different game, I wasn't as excited as I was for LoK: Rebirth, but I was still excited. The now abandoned LoK was awesome, so I wanna get my hands on this new project. How do I do that?Actually, most of the work was done the first year and possibly a quarter. The other nine months before they decided to restart development were less productive because of personal reasons.
