or rather, Futa is widely misused in games for a fake female approach.
it's there the backdoor to still have the guy, in disguise:

My personal theory is that in many cases, futa-on-female is for people who think it doesn't count as "real sex" unless there's a real fleshy dick involved. And that really grinds my gears.

Personally, I like futa-on-female, although only really when the game/scene is framed from the female perspective (which is rarer than proper lesbian content in good, in-depth games, in my experience), and I wouldn't really lump it in with lesbian content. There's a lot of fun topics and themes you can play with there, but there's not as much crossover beyond how the characters (mostly) look, and general taboo-breaking.
I have no doubt that plenty of people like futa-on-female because they're averse to seeing dudes in porn but still want to see someone get cummed in/on though.

well it's still like i mentioned earlier, the common grounds in this thread here is games either without penis, or with penis being completely avoidable. guess that leaves out games where futa can't be avioded, as well.

How about games when you playing as male but there is only lesbian content in the game? For example you are private detective and investigating lesbian blackmailing? And for realism sake private detective didn't fuck anyone. But he making lot's of lesbian pictures as evidences.

I don't find it interesting because, in a way, lesbian girls would be there just to "please" the male character. It would still be a male character "using lesbians" to satisfy him, even if he doesn't have sex with her.
There is a series of games in the style of "middle brother with a trickster face, silly younger sister and experienced older sister" where the male character is watching the older sister with her rebellious friend and jerking off. It would be basically the same

Wasn't the point of this thread because people were abusing the lesbian tag in male protagonist games? That threads like the Lesbian scenes appreciation thread were filling up with male protag games that made it increasingly harder for those that look for lesbian scenes in lesbian games because they have no interest in dick, and because male protags in these games with the lesbian tag are often one-dimensional, only there to have sex scenes with all the women?

Even if the game is not about the male protagonist being satisfied, there will still be a time when the guy will say "my god, they are hot" or your game will not have a defined audience.
It will not be for fans of straight games, because the character does nothing with women. And it won't be for those who like lesbian games, because you're controlling a male character.
Watching scenes of girls together is easier to go to pornhub and watch videos. And if it's for the mystery, I play games like L.A noir that you mentioned.
I advise you to make a lesbian protagonist who interacts with the investigated and leave the public that likes male protag outside.
Or make the detective go into the scenes and fuck the girls and forget about the audience that likes lesbian games.
