Gotta say I am really liking this game, just spent the last week and a half getting up to date (had to restart due to a Rin snafu). About only I wish would change is maybe if it had less girls as some seem kinda redundant but that that is a small quibble that far outweighed by an excellent story

I only hope this does end in complete tragedy. It does not have to be the happiest ending possible but I hope there some ray of optimism in the end. And Maya better not die (not saying there is any heavy indication of this so far).

I'm starting to get the feeling this is less forgetting memories and more repressing them, which is known to happen under extremely traumatic circumstances as memory repression is a natural defense mechanism against such things. That event would count as such a trauma, so it fits as an excellent candidate for repression of memories as do several of the other events seemingly reset. The resets may not be resets at all, but instead the people involved are subconsciously locking the memories of those events away deep in their minds.

You are remembering the event wrong. The only thing she has done at the photoshoot before noticing Sensei was recite the slogan and warn Noriko not to interrupt her. No taking out anything on the staff at all.

I replayed it, thank you for this gift of an event tracker replay system Selebus, and yeah, she gets angry at someone other than him, but doesn't explode until she sees him, you're right.

While I do like the game quite a bit, it's getting frustrating. I find no way to get new events altough there should be a lot of them left.

Keep in mind that an event may not just be stat locked, needing a certain level of stats on that girl, but may need one or more events from other girls or certain stat levels on other girls. The most likely culprit to anyone getting stuck is someone in the side girls category being a requirement, there seems to be a misconception that side girls are optional, they aren't, they are only side girls in that they are not part of the main cast and only a few exceptions exist to all girls being required to some extent in either category, or an event in the 'happy' scenes category not being completed.

This misconception will endure for as long as the game is on this site, I'm afraid. The entire site has a misconception about it being a porn site specifically, which is why we see people in 'no sexual content' tagged threads complaining that the game shouldn't even be here.

I've seen that happen several times in other games and any mod made for the game in those cases broke with those changes, severely. I'm aware not aware of any plans in the 0.16.0 cycle, that's just something to keep in mind. Selebus has made a couple of major changes that ultimately had to result in reduced content additions. Example, the tracker overhaul might be the biggest thing that could have broken your mod in particular due to how it changed things, but since your mod came after, it wasn't an issue.

I very much understand that this would feel reductive, and also would concern you, as a very talented author and game maker, that it would limit the scope of your player base to have it widespread referred to in this manner. I do not personally think of the game this way, although part of the reason I enjoy it is that less than 10% that titillates.

I also understand why people do call it that, however. Regardless of the amount of pornographic content, the goal of the main character (though not the goal of the story, I know) is to have sex, and have a lot of it. In most of the Leisure Suit Larry games, the main character tended to get a lot less sex than we see in your game, but I'm sure it was also referred to as a porn game for similar reasons.

This isn't to say I don't understand why it upsets you. It makes perfect sense, since this game does not deserve a sole focus on its more naughty aspects. I just don't think you're ever going to get away from it. People are going to be reductive of virtually anything and everything, because it makes the world quicker, easier, and simpler for them.

Even tho theres not much sex, its still my favorite hentai game ever its got so much story and so much love put in to it that when I played the newest REDACTED I couldnt stop REDACTED its such a happy game i love it (hopefully i did the spoilers right if i didnt sorry im new here)

I honestly think of this game more like the "Game of Thrones" of adult games, not so much porn as mature content, like an R rated movie. There's just not enough focus on the 10% of sex content to call it pornographic and the only reason I can see that makes sense is the common misconception being on this site entails, that all games here are supposed to be pornographic, which is totally untrue and the reason for the no sexual content tag.

Yeah, crazy but most Japanese people don't have a great understanding of the US constitution.

Understandable considering it has nothing to do with them except being influenced by the same country that influenced theirs in 1945. I'm also pretty sure ours is one of only a few with a right to silence and not many of those that do have it in their constitution as an amendment or even at all, but instead as a separate law. Japan is one of those few that has this right within their constitution, US influence I'm sure, though not bad influence in this case, but it is not an amendment. For reference it is section 37-3 of the Japanese constitution.

I do understand what you are saying. But please know I love this game for the story. However I may have never found it if I was only looking for adult games, and this was not listed as one. Some might have found it the same way. Keep it just the way it is, but respect the roots of it and what drew some in.

Adult =/= porn. Just because something is adult doesn't make it porn, though the reverse is inherently untrue. Example, Game of Thrones, I would definitely not show that to anyone not considered a legal adult, but it is in no way porn.

Sadly, yes. This is why I carry a copy on me at all times, technically two as I carry one electronic copy and one physical copy for reference in case a constitutional argument arises or one of my rights is threatened.

Seeing how far the game has progressed makes me remember again, where when this game was still 300MB in size, I thought at first it was just a porn game. But after following the development for the original development, my desire to play this game for Fap fap turned into curiosity to continue the story of each character and the main story.

There is no doubt that Selebus has extraordinary writing skills, being able to think of the main plot and story of each girl, that's really cool.

As much as I hate to admit it, yeah, it was just a porn game to me back before the writing really got to me as well. Then I saw how good it really is and how much of a focus the game itself has over the sexual elements.

Same, I could even chip in myself. I could get some actual art out in a few months after I bring my drawing skills back up after years of no use and I could get some Koikatsu renders out fairly quickly if they're simple enough. I've already hinted at it, this was a long time ago back when I was a brand new patron and the character assets were available as a subscriber perk, but I have an active project involving two of the girls who were involved in some fairly major events, one of which, not too long ago, got her cherry popped. I did start this project, but after the issue that caused the revocation of the character card subscriber perk, I was and still am a bit wary of going too far and resolved not to release it. I don't want to do anything Selebus doesn't want us to, so I won't release it if I can't be certain he's okay with it. It just wouldn't be right and it would make me feel terrible just on the chance of doing something against his wishes.

Nah, that's an issue in other games because the developers don't pace themselves and either burn out or get sloppy in order to rush the content. Selebus paces himself specifically to avoid burning out and doesn't rush any character added to the game. Also, if you think it's too much now, there are still two main girls to be added plus a whole bunch of empty side girl slots still left blank. This is a Denpa game, a genre known for negative endings, so don't get your hopes up for even a glimmer of optimism. Think of "Doki Doki Literature Club" as an example. As far as redundancies, I do't see any. The only thing I see is some characters aren't as developed, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Another issue some developers have with games with a large cast is that they spread the focus over too many at once and don't focus on a few at a time to develop the story of the few in each update. Selebus does the opposite, focusing on a few and developing the story of the few in each update, which produces an amazing result. That's part of why the game is so good as it is now.

Sure, it's certainly possible. But I think it would have to be a truly fundamental overhaul of the code to have any real effect on the mod (I don't think the tracker overhaul would have really impacted it, for example).

Well there is a wiki, but you just want to play the game, you probably are only gonna miss a couple optional events, the story is pretty much just raise friendship and lust on the girls and everything will unlock. But you will get stuck a few times since the game expects you to do something unusual (make sure to remember: Room 5, and "Go back").
Besides that.. the game is LONG, ltos of events and girls. its a wild trip and you will see almost everything just playing normally.

1. A walkthrough for the game doesn't really exist. Both the wiki linked to from the game's main menu and the guide linked to in the OP are primarily lists of the various events with their triggers. They're intended to help people who are stuck rather than to tell someone to do A, then B, etc. The guide is probably more useful for quickly finding missable events as they're crossed out in red (I don't think the wiki has a list, but I could be wrong).
2. There are a few missable events in the game, but most of these are pretty obvious. One is really only obvious in hindsight and there are probably three places in the game where a player might find themselves stuck (they only have one solution, though, so you don't need to be worried about doing them "wrong"). I personally wouldn't let these deter you from playing. It's also worth remembering that the game is still pretty early on in its story and we really don't know what the consequences of things are yet.

I love this game. It's the only thing I have ever given money to, but that I am not going to lie is my 2 big gripes about the game. That and how little time flashing messages are presented so that it is extremely EXTREMELY difficult to pause the screen to see and decipher, usually hex. I just want like .5 seconds per slide! My eyes would thank you!

Still favorite game on the site. It isn't even a porn game, it's just good. Honestly I don't give 2 shits about the porn all I want is to unwrap Mayas lore. I honestly love this game so much that when I find more free time I am going to replay it trying to get the 1 missing scene from my 1st playthrough, with a pen and paper to note every god damn bit of symbolism and messages to make a final theory.

So ive been on your Discord... and i know sometimes its hard to deal with other human beings. But when im looking over posts made there it kinda gives me a kindergarden vibe. Different opinions and stuff happen... but there are some rough edges to how they convey stuff.
I mean its harder to have a conversation here given how a forum works compared to Discord. But overall this thread is a much nicer place besides some aberrations.
I started this to really not sound like a rant about your Discord... but as im writing this it (your DC) goes all boom again .
Maybe im just a person who takes those extra 5 minutes to think about his own writings which does not work that well on Discord... who knows.

I originally used the .apk but after having issues when the game became 3+GB I run it through an emulator using the PC version. I transferred my saves without issue, so I'm assuming the saves are the same.
