Hey guys - just checked in for the first time in awhile and finding out about the 'public' vs 'NSFW' versions of the game thing. Where do we get the 'nsfw' version now?
OK - got it...Subscribestar - though, question....if we subscribe to the '18+ mod' - is it 'standalone', or do I need to also subscribe somewhere else to get the 'base game' for the 'mod'...?
Is the NSFW version still going to be posted here to download?

You can also get it on itch.io (pretty sure it's the full version). I believe all the nsfw downloads are standalone

This means that nothing has changed, period. The adult version is still gonna get updated (more or less) every two weeks, the public adult version will continue to be re-posted by me on this site (F95zone) and

. Next update is roughly gonna be mid to end of January On the plus side, there is also a completely optional SFW version that you can play, separate from the adult version. There was a necessity to do so because of Patreon discrimination against Selebus. So now, you can play LiL in public spaces, on the plane, and with younger siblings
Additionally, as a technicality, it is Subelus (not Selebus) who has inherited the role of making the adult version of LiL (but the quality of either versions won't suffer, so don't worry).I highly recommend that you continue to play the adult version. As disappointing as it is to see people just bailing based on the changelog, I suspect the ones who do aren't going to be overly missed by the Devs (Selebus for the SFW version and Subeles for the NSFW version) as I doubt anyone paying for the game has any confusion as to what's going on, and the ones leaving probably aren't paying a ton of attention to the story anyway (after all, if they can't spend 30 seconds investigating the situation, how would they have the patience to go through the dialogue?).
I doubt anyone putting significant weight toward the side content, AKA sex content, of the game in their decision to stay or leave is playing for the story at all. Not everyone does, but the ones who are leaving over the side content being cut from the Selebus version are the ones who think this site is strictly for porn games and would have left regardless when they found themselves unsatisfied at the lesser focus on sex that even the Subeles version has. These people are a no win scenario and are best ignored, they cannot be pleased without displeasing the rest of the player base, which is a terrible idea.

Any idea if the SFW version is going to be an intentional incomplete story/experience, try and tell a different-esque story from the nsfw version, or if it's going to try and tell the same story just minus the sexual scenes and nudity?

Yeah that doesn't answer the question if the SFW game is just going to be a joke to get back at patreon or if he's actually going to try and do something with it.
The huggy boy thing is said joke, but he's definitely going somewhere with it. In other words, a bit of both from what I can tell.

I prefer NSFW version, because i grow on that version in this game.
I don't understand what "do something with it" means; do you mean develop a story that goes in its own direction from the standard edition? No, he's not, that would be essentially making two games at once (Selebus has said that writing is by far the most time-consuming part of making LiL). I've played through a lot of it and large portions are very obviously missing things (the happy events and second Halloween is really obvious this way).
That said, it does have unique characterization, after a fashion. The girls in the SFW version have their character traits greatly exaggerated versus the standard edition, in ways that are pretty funny. So if you have time to kill, it's worth your time to skip through and see what's different.
It's a comedic joke version he's making out of necessity. He's said that it won't be its own thing, as developing two games simultaneously is way too much. That being said even though the NSFW version is, and will always remain, the true story, he's going to try and make the SFW version enjoyable on its own since if he's forced to make it anyway he might as well make it fun.
In other words, play it only if you really want to have a bit of a laugh. If you're in this for the plot or the PLOT there's no reason to play it.
What's the consequence for the choice you pick in the Genshin cosplay thing?
