At that point Sensei has a few hours (?) worth of memories, for him to have feelings about her the game would have to be outright lying about him not remembering anything or his "amnesia" would have to remove the memory of his name, everyone he has known for years, where he lives, what he does on a day to day basis but somehow left his feelings towards his niece intact? None of the dialog choices hint towards any DEEP incestuous feelings (and again the scene is not in the non bonus version) so where do these feelings come from?
I could answer that question, but I'd have to get into spoiler territory. If your hangups are mostly centered on that stuff I'd tell you to keep reading 'cause you might understand why I might look at it this way.
But I don't really want to pressure you, if you're really not convinced you could end up liking the game you're totally right to find something better to do with your time.

Jesus H Christ, I've never been so fed-up with a game before. I've been trying this game on and off since 0.1 and the amount of tedium to get triggers to go off has only gotten worse with each iteration. Why do you have makoto's mother tell you to call her at night, but then at night have the phone tell you that you should go to the porn shop, only to get the same scene with makoto 150 times.

Only game I've ever just downloaded a gallery unlocker for. I like the writing, but not enough to read the same blurbs 150 times to get a single scene to trigger. I might as well just glue to control button down.

You are not given the choice to avoid the "breed your niece" mini game?
To clarify -- the scene you're talking about, early in the game, is not skippable. It's a dream/nightmare sequence.

Later in the game, you can choose whether or not MC ACTUALLY does things with her.

f it is not attempting to be deep then the breed your niece mini game (basically the first scene) makes even less sense... What is the point of the scene other than to get the player to question their feelings?
It's more to set the tone for the game than anything else.

I dunno if something like this already exists, but it'd be cool to have a mod that (with a click of a button or something) will convert Hex to ASCII or Bin to ASCII. This way I wouldn't have to clip the image, OCR it, then run it through a converter online.

Finally got time to play the new version and...niece banging mini-game is just too much. In old version there was still sex and you kinda not sure if it was just a dream or not (and instead of it being a showing of his "hate" it was showing his "appreciation for downloading the game"), but here its just unnecessary cryptic and instead of light hint of "something maybe going on? Maybe not" its "Dude, something going on, its not natural at all! WTF?". A good way to show that there is something wrong, but was it really needed? Wasn't looming of it was better than it being certain?

Honestly I think the games sandbox mode is it's weakest part and it gets really annoying to do all the event for a character you don't care about only for their next events to need you to increase a stat by 10 so you have o waste 10 in game days.

So I can't seem to trigger the "Drowning" event in the main story, it just skips over it and goes straight to "So Many Voices". Can it get triggered later when I get my affection points with Rin up, or is this a bug?

EDIT: Never mind, it triggered later.

So i've just played until the first reworked Maya event and so far mixed feelings about this rework (obviously it's a tiny fraction of the entire revamp so take with a pinch of salt)

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Again this is just for the introducction of the game, still excited to play the rest of it.
I agree on all your points. As someone who quite enjoyed all the happy events in the original version, it was the initial build up to the first event that really hooked me onto the story. There was an uneasiness that slowly permeated throughout the beginning of the story and when shit went sideways while you're just exploring around, it felt satisfying from a narrative stand point, and was actually pretty frightening. Now, with the rework, it feels a little too immediately edgy or too on the nose. I think that also ties into the beginning monologue being way too explanatory now.

I think if I was playing this for the first time, I wouldn't be nearly as interested in continuing as I was when I initially played the original version a few months ago. Visually, it's obviously much better now, but I think narratively, at least as far as the beginning hours go, the game has suffered from its' revisions. The only exceptions to that being Ayane's actions in the bathroom, and Ami's overall demeanor.

I've been trying to replay chapter 1 in this but it feels kinda boring right now and not as interesting as I remember chapter 1 use to feel I've just been assuming it was just me.

Definitely not just you. I started replaying the original version immediately after finishing the current content in early June, so I'm pretty confident that I'm not just misremembering how good the early story was originally. It's forsure less captivating now

Yeah, don't really think the introducction needed that much tweaking. Chuu scene an Ami's demeanour aside, which they're only terrible in retrospect, it was a really engaging start to the game. I'm guessing this was done to weed out new players who in the original release skip to early sex scenes and didn't catch on the uneasiness of the situation (or did't read the horror tag or the warning at the beginning) and then drop out or complain as soon they hit Room with Clocks.

Hmm...i've decided to wait for the next update to play...i mean, i dont care about changes in the past because i liked the game so far. I will start the game from scratch once it is finished, until then i prefer to continue the game as i know it. Saves disappointments midgame and offers new content surprises later ^^
