Which one is the annoying one? Kirin? Otoha?

Also, it's funny to think how much I was annoyed at Yasu during my first playthrough, and then on my second one I was taking notes everytime she talked.

Did you guys have any characters that you radically changed your opinions on during the course of the game/on replay?
Hard to say, I don't really remember my earlier impressions anymore. Maybe Noriko, Nodoka, Otoha and Ami.

For Noriko I decided to believe Maya for a while then started liking her overtime despite still wanting to believe Maya. Then at some point just decided Maya must be wrong about her.

Nodoka I don't remember my initial impressions of but I think it was some kind of strange concerned vibe. Then I hated her for a while until that thing where when you dislike a character enough that you start to kind of like them again happened to me. So I have a kind of begrudgin interest / respect for her character at the moment.

Otoha was super boring and is now far more interesting to me than before the Rin stuff that everyone seems to now hate her for. But I never really disliked her for said Rin stuff as much as some people seem to.

Ami, I guess I would describe as having progressed into a kind of bipolar oscillation between cute/wholesome and wariness/fearful of her for me. Which is probably not what I was expecting in the first chapter.

There are other characters that I liked from the start and like even more now but that might not count.

Radically huh.Not really tbh.Every girl made a distict impression on me from the very first events and it has just stuck throught my playthrough.

Like if we look at some of the obvious ones like nodoka kirin and otoha, its pretty simple.

Nodoka is a sociopath(Or is psycopath more accurate im not sure) that relies on little pillars to keep her afloat, lest she breaks(Those pillars being writing and futaba).

Kirin is similar but not the same. She is just the classic result of continues parental neglect and raging hormones. She has Ayane as her target for her rage and inferiority complex and Sensei as her portable dildo for her sexual desires.

Otoha reminds me of the classic story of "A girl raised in an extremely conservative household, once out in the world becomes extremely promiscious" as in i believe Otohas every action(and her constant want and need for freedom and space) is just the result of her parents smothering her.Thats why her relationship with Rin was so rocky from start to finish and why she cheated on her with Niki. She doesnt like like women, she just wants to feel in control.

And noriko is best girl and needs a win!

I can write more of my impressions of the girls but ill leave it here since these are the what the thread considers the "Most hated girls".

Yumi and Ayane:

I've mentioned it prior, but Maya became less mysterious and more pitiable throughout the game, for me. I have also begun to like Otoha in Chapter 4, but we'll see how long that lasts, and I've continued to like Tsuneyo more and more throughout the game.

Besides them, my opinions on the characters haven't really changed all that much since the start. The Io stuff was predictable. Sana didn't surprise me at all. Even figured she'd say "Machamp". Ami is Ami. Uta is Uta. Yasu is Yasu. Sensei is Sensei. Etc. Most of these characters are somewhat predictable, in a good way, imo.

Ayane. On my first playthrough, I kind of found her to be overly clingy and a bit annoying. I also wasn’t a fan how she bottled up all her problems and pretended everything was fine when it wasn’t. I was just like… ‘oh my God! Please communicate!’.

However, once she started showing up to Resets regularly and became apart of Sensei and Maya’s dynamic, and after seeing all she had to endure along with them, I changed my tune on her pretty quickly. I still don’t know why I found her affection annoying at first… On my replay, it really wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be. Granted, I also had context that time for what was to come.

On the opposing end, my opinion on Maya was way different on my first playthrough compared to my second. In my first one, I sort of took everything she said as gospel and trusted she knew exactly what she was talking about. That’s why I was kind of suspicious about Noriko for a little bit too.

Once Reset 5 came around, though, and Tsuneyo dropped that line of, “those who claim they should be trusted are oftentimes the ones you should trust the least.”, I was genuinely floored. She made an excellent point, after all. Especially when the topic of false memories came up. Who’s to say Maya Prime didn’t also suffer from some false memories of her own?

Therefore, on a repeat playthrough, I paid attention to everything Maya Prime said, to see what lined up with truth and what she wound up getting wrong (there was quite a bit, actually).

Maya/Makoto/Ayane all pingponged from 'I really don't like these people to 'wow i reallly like this people to 'nvm i still don't like these people

Makoto specifically I liked at first and now i just aint into her at all.

Ayane went from 'I hate this to 'i don't mind this' back to i hate this'

Maya builds value the entire time and things happen but alot of characters just outshine her despite her narrative.

Example, Touka is someone i thought i would hate because oh no generic rich girl but is probably top 3/5 after seeing so many other characters get introduced and fleshed out.

*cough Wakana/Yumi/Niki/Touka/Rin* is my latest.

For me, the one I found dull and boring on my first playthrough was Ayane and it's still Ayane. DesKel made some points making it seem like she was confident in challenging Kirin and Ami, but I have to disagree, to me it showed how weak Ayane is, Ayane didn't have the courage to face Kirin and she just did it. found out about the reset, knowing that she would have protection from something, and in Ami's case it was the same thing, she didn't have the courage to talk to Ami or even look at her because she had been informed by Maya that Ami had already killed her , showing that she was not 100% protected and only went to confront Ami when she received help from Himawari informing her that nothing would happen to her and that she was 100% protected, showing again that Ayane does not have the courage to do something if she thinks something will happen with her.

In short: Ayane, for me, is weak because she doesn't have the courage to do something because she fears the consequences and she only does it when she knows that nothing will happen to her. (In my view she looks like those characters who bully someone just because their father is rich or the director's son since they are not afraid of the consequences since they are 100% sure that nothing will happen to them, and when They know that there are some consequences for their actions, they don't do them out of fear, for me Ayane is like someone like that, someone who is a coward)

I definitely didn't intend to imply that Ayane was brave. She hides her true feelings and thoughts, and only "fights back" when she knows she will win. She's already rich, and has training in karate, with Osako noting she's good, yet only after knowing she had supernatural advantages has she actually faced her problems. Mostly with violence upon those who can't hurt her.

She's also still pretending she doesn't remember being pregnant and losing it, like Long Maya pointed out:

And is still hiding that she was bullying Ami, from Sensei:

Sensei didn't like when Otoha slapped Rin (His pseudo daughter), so I'm curious what Sensei would say if he found out Ayane (Another pseudo daughter) slapped Ami (Possibly his actual daughter), now that he seems to finally be trying to give a shit about Ami.

Then again, Prince Ami might be trying to fuck Ayane at this point, and Ayane is probably struggling to have control over anything at the moment, so...

Ayane being a coward is a unique take.Hell i can see it myself. As you said she only lashed out at Kirin and Ami only because she is confident that whatever they do to her wont leave a permanent scar.

For me though i like to see this in a more charitable light. You can say that Ayane is a coward, yes and especially after the """threesome""" scene with Kirin i will could in theory agree with you but ill be using that exact scene for why i dont agree with that.I believe that the biggest reason that Ayane managed to do what she did is because now, with a "Get out of jail free" card that the resets represent she is sure that no permanent Harm can come to Sensei. The girls can do what they want but once everything resets nothing will matter. That means that A)She can do whatever she wants with Sensei since nothing matters and B)Her possessiveness of him now has the perfect conditions to bloom.TLDR she is a coward but i believe the reason why she "grew some balls" and did what she did is because the only thing that matters to her is secured.

Maya. At first, I liked her cuz of her "uniquness". Alas, at the third chapter I stop liking her.

Noriko... It went from "I dislike her" to "Oh dear, oh gorgeous".

Yasu. I was genuinely afraid of her when she joined the class. Now I think of her as a really sweet and cute girl.

Nodoka. Gosh, I liked her... But then a lot of shit happened, so... people here know how much I "like" her,xd.

Could anyone here remind me please as to which event it is in which Makoto gets the marriage license? It's a story beat I just can't remember happening at all and it's been mentioned repeatedly in the most recent events I've viewed as I try to catch up with updates 40 and 41.

Guessing it'll be the encyclopedic DeSkel who'll be most likely to have the answer at their fingertips.(y)
