It's a bug fix. One scene (Optional Scene #12 in the wiki guide) would have the female character missing if some flag wasn't triggered prior. This fixes it.
Saves have not been implemented for the past several installations of the series. You just have to replay through each time if you wanna revisit a scene.
The 0.3 is out, some guy uploaded it to the 420chan forum. (
