umm the screen goes black for every scene until the end of it.
is that normal?

apparently if you have no audio output device it legit doesn't even try to load the video

Did you also happen to notice that there are over 30 other kinks included besides Sleep Sex? If that's all you're interested in, please consider games that have that as their primary/only focus... We're making a game filled with "ADVENTURES" not ONE ADVENTURE after someone falls asleep.

If you give up playing less than 50 "days" into the game, you're missing out on some HUGE amazing sex events and hilarious jokes and references, not to mention the story...

I don't blame you for not focusing on sleep sex as it is a niche kink, which I am used to. What I blame you for is setting up the expectation of sleep sex being a main focus with the prologue, where halfway through you can go farther with each girl. Then the prologue ends abruptly and I'm told the mc was sleep raped for 3 years; which is incredibly frustrating as after that there is just nothing. You legit cannot do anything; there's just your mom you can molest a bit.

As for the content you mentioned in a spoiler, only 2 of them are sleep sex (Luna & Mia), which you mentioned is far into the game.

Now that wouldn't be a huge issue if I liked the rest of the game but I don't. The MC is so pathetic it's ridiculous, and none of the choices offered mattered at all, whatever you choose the mc remains lame af; sometimes you don't even get to choose anything. Hours into the game there's not a single non-consensual scene, even the green haired slave girl in full bdsm gear is consenting. Apparently there's a dark path but I'm doubtful it's real at this point. If that's what you're going for well good for you but to me it's just really lame.

Still, even if I don't enjoy it I'm sure others do. It did look like there was a lot content going by the number of characters, and the scenes I've seen were ok quality since it's koikatsu.

I really would not call the Prolog the base of all things given that the game even starts with a MC that looks thrice as old as he actually is.
You could say the prolog is actually an overly long Star Wars Yellow Text explenation while the actual prolog starts with the end of the supposed prolog and the game really starts once the Chief gives you the choices of all choices. lta is actually two games in one as while there may be many similarities, the tone and way story happens later are fundamentaly different.

As co-writer, I can understand that some people are accustomed to having games where the MC is a god with a huge cock. Some other games the MC can be insecure at first but very quickly becomes the most confident ladies man in the universe, grabbing puss left and right all day and all night. There is usually little or no actual emotional character development for the protagonist. He/She is mostly the same at the end of the game as he/she was at the start, just with more love interests and money.

Certainly, "Jack" starts out with nothing. His family is poor, single mom, two sisters with emotional attachment issues due to lack of funds and lack of a father figure. And therein lies the core of it all: MC has never had a father figure to show him what being a confident "manly man" is. He was instead treated very poorly by almost everyone outside his home, due to his looks, which he had zero control over. The same way so many people from day one whined and complained that he was not a hot jock with a huge cock, like so many countless other games start off with.

We went for the empathy flag here, and obviously those with little or no empathy pounced like trolls on a pogo stick. But we stuck with our guns. And in the same way, we are sticking to our guns even now, just as version 0.13 prepares for launch in a few weeks.

Is the MC currently a bit insecure? Fuck yes! I mean, he spent 18 years being made fun of, teased, picked on, beat up, and bullied incessantly. If you have never experienced such psychological and physical terrorism in your life, you have no idea how long it takes to become even close to normal. Personally, I went through every bit of what he did - minus the flames and explosions. Even the flashback dream stuff for him and Luna? It happened to me and my cousins.

I could lash out. I could be an asshole or a troll. But that's just not who I am anymore. I went through that decades ago and it got me nowhere. It proved nothing and did not help me deal with my issues. Which I freely admit I still have kernels of buried beneath the scars both physical and mental.

So yes, the MC is a bit insecure. BUT HE IS GETTING BETTER! We are going for a long-haul story and if you think it's too slow for your tastes, we simply request you give us time to finish the progression for all the 45+ characters in this game, including the MC. He's not a simp nor an incel. He's just finding his way through a dark world filled with assholes. Either trying to protect those he cares about or embracing the pain and rage to become a god among men, with a huge cock, the way you expected him to start out as. Instead, he is evolving, and you will see this in the 0.13 update. He's not crying about it all - not anymore. He's considering his choices and responsibilities.

The way we write him and everyone is so they start out as one thing and slowly become something else. It's not a quick flip of a switch. It's dynamic and natural. Something very rare in adult visual novel porn games.

There is a misunderstanding. I don't exactly dislike the MC; just as you went through what the MC did, so did I, though to a much lesser extent. Anyway it's not a competition, I only mean that I do empathize and relate with the MC, to an extent.

What I do dislike is that almost none of the choices offered I agreed with, and I just picked the 'least worst' option each time. What I disliked even more were events were you simply had no choice in what happened; the best example I have is early on when the MC is pulled into a meeting with a high ranking member of the organization, where the MC proceeds to act like an absolute idiot and gets thrown out. You have no agency and simply suffer through these situations.

An example of a VN where that doesn't happen is Ravager. In that VN there's always plenty of choices for every type of player to pick and choose, and when an event where you don't get to choose happens, it's only as a result of the choices you made. As you appear to have setup the game to have different endings I had assumed it would be similar here, where I could pick choices that suit me, but so far that never happened.

What I mean to say then, is that I dislike the MC not because of who he is but because he is only given choices where neither one leads somewhere I would like, and in instances where no choosing happens the MC does something I do not agree with, if that makes sense.

Now I do want to point it is your game and you should do whatever you want. I have no stake in the development of your game and I'm only sharing my opinion because you do seem to care about it.

And as a side note I also share your disdain for the stereotypical 'god with a huge cock pulling puss left and right'.

I don't want to be a dick here and I know this is never going to happen, but this game would have benefitted so much from a "Gray Path" where you become leader of this organization and corrupt and sluttify these girls, turning them into courtesans, yet you still all love them and care about them, because they mean a lot to you as your harem. Secret Care Cafe does it, Monster Girl Club Bifrost does it, this game would have benefitted from that style of story development so much. But that's okay. I realize hard left or hard right, some people love that definitive choice in their games. But I'm sure for me and other people, we would have appreciated a more complex, split corruption path where you everyone in this game isn't absolutely fucking miserable lol.
