January was the 4β test version, it's not a really a proper release and the patch makers are sticking with the 3.0.22 version for now.

I remember coming here years ago after hearing that there's a 3.0 update and asking for help, then leaving in shame with an empty hand after couple of friendly dudes tries to help me out which results me being overwhelmed by installing process.

There's the full step by step guide now. Or a shorter one with a partly patched 3.0.22, you just need to install the latest translation patch to and if you want it mod pack. Also some ready to play copies but with old patches.

Here's a changelog for 3.0.0. If you want the latest, there is one in a game folder, in japanese so paste it into translator.

Came here from the Robot Girlfriend game after seeing it mentioned, dumb question, but any Android Ports, or is the game incompatible with it? Also, how in-depth is the game? I see it's a few years old, are the above talked about updates more content? Or is it like translation stuff or what?

Is that przemo's translation patch? If so you want tfpatchguy's it's had years more work done on it, look here for instructions and links. Get the half patched game from there, don't mix przemo and tfpatchguy.
With the prepatched games currently in the opening post that's usually the overly long file name and extraction.

Maximizing the output of headpats.
I was following your instructions, so the version 3.0.0 game and 3.0.22 update came from przemo but the translation patch came from tfpatchguy
So I have the current public version with mods, but how do I activate the more gameplay mods.

Just checked and I remembered it wrong, przemo's patch doesn't have text like that. In that linked post there is a already updated and partially patched game, you only need to install the patch and modpack to.
Not sure why the font would be so different. If you haven't, download the Japanese language pack for Windows. It never affected the font like that before but it used to be needed for the heart in dialogue.
