It's essentially a history-of-my-life second-person omniscient voiceover from the MC and you have no evidence for it not being literal other than...wishful thinking? His characterization of his friend is 100% literal and accurate. Every single thing he says in the narration is literal and accurate, except somehow this one thing? Why would his self-assessment in the very same sentence be a lie? That said, this discussion was already moderated out of existence once and I don't think it serves anyone to bring it up again. Assuming this survives long enough for you to even read it, I suggest we both drop it.

Care to try again? This is what a first person voiceover looks like.

Also notice the key word "if"? The narrator isn't being literal and is just explaining their personalities.

I edited that because it wasn't correct. It's second-person omniscient narrator, but it's all accurate. Except, apparently, for those two words.

Seriously, man. You're begging for this to be moderated again.

No idea about previous moderation of the thread, since I don't read these often, but you missed the highly qualifying word "IF" in the screenshot that was posted. And yes, he compared their persdonalities to fairly polarized opposites on the "ability to function 'normally' in socialization" context that any reader not grasping at straws to prove their point, would identify with.

Would it be more clear to you if that scene said: "If I was the shy, introverted wall flower, he was the stereotypical ladies man." It's a descriptor, not a statement of definition of condition, especially when that word is bandied about ungraciously now by anyone attempting to describe a personality type, or just insulting someone else. Much like the g-word used to be used to describe soemthing 'uncool', offensive to the speaker, or just attempting to be mildly insulting.

Mary might look better but Simone is way sexier than all the females in the game so far. I do wonder if she on the pill I think she lying if she said so and wants to get pregnant.

I didn't "miss" it. It's just that, again, every single word of the introductory narrative is 100% accurate. Except, apparently, the two words the narrator (who is obviously the MC referring to himself in the second person) uses to describe himself. Honestly, the elaborate rhetorical contortions required to insist that his self-description can't possibly be accurate when the entirety of the game goes rather out of its way to demonstrate the description's accuracy are kind of baffling. Why is it so important to dismiss the MC's claim that he's on the spectrum? This is erasure. It's unkind at best. It's actually worse than unkind.

Would it be more clear to you
It would be different, because he used different words. He used the words he used. This part was indeed moderated out of the original thread, but I'm surrounded by people who are autistic and who are nationally recognized advocates for people on the spectrum, and this unpleasant coterie of people who bandy the word about as an insult sound like people from whom we really shouldn't be taking linguistic cues. Or, at least, we shouldn't if we're wise and kind. As for the analogy to using "gay" to describe something the speaker doesn't like, I stopped associating people who do that sort of thing over thirty years ago. If the assertion is that the devs are the sort of people to use "autistic" as a casual insult, then it seems you have a rather different claim to make.

Let's be clear about this: he not only specifically used the word "autistic," one of the devs is on the spectrum (seriously, read the thread) and the word's still there. Why? Because it's supposed to be there.

You're attempting erasure of the MC's self-identity because other people are assholes and use words out of sheer cruelty. I'm not sure how to help you out of this dilemma. Find better friends? Find less toxic places to hang out? Read this quickly because it's going to get moderated out of existence shortly? All of the above, I guess.

Sorry to ask, probably the n-th one to ask, but how can i update from 0.55 to 0.60? Tried just copying the folder /game/saves to the 0.60 files, but then i get an error after the older version ends.

Really, like really, love the story so far. Can relate to MC in more than one way, personality wise that is. He absolutely (unrealisticly) did hit the jackpot here, but besides that there are many subtle (and not so subtle) details that makes it an impressive experience to me. Also a great choice that MC is a bit older. Hope this one gets on and on.

Seems to me Mary's hinting at marriage. Remember, fairy tales end in "happily ever after," (or at least the ones girls like do,) and that was her reference.
I agree here.
From the beginning talking about "winter days that will fly by..." to a chilly near-autumn night... Well, that would mean a span of... like 9, maybe 10 months... 2 exam periods, too. Yeah, they came together later, but still, they spent a long period of time together.
In the monogamous route, starting with the decision the MC did NOT cheat, letting the threesome not happen and ignoring everyone else, Mary's question about how it will end is clearly about things like moving in together(well, yeah, they kind of did, but officially... I don't really know...). Mary mentioned this earlier during their trip. "Ours" is the word that comes to my mind here. And yeah, marriage, starting a family... These are the things Mary wants to hear about, and is not having thoughts about breaking up or something.
Here is why: Let's put aside that it's a seaxual game and look at it a bit realistic: Mary is in her first sexual relationship, tries out things she never did before, because of MC's influence I guess... Even anal. Beside of porn, anal is still something very intimate, something you just don't do with anybody, not even with your partner maybe... Analsex and thinking about breaking up... I don't think so... Their relationship stood strong against Andi's antipahty and the appearing of the ex who either cheated or was cheated on. "Us against the world" did Mary mention, if I remember right...

I think going the threesome route is creating these negatively charged opinions about possible negative outcomes... Yeah, this route offers the "most" sexual content to have, but this might not be the "right" way... The decisions leading to that are causing cracks in the relationship I guess. I played it, too, wasn't mine, tastes are different... But I think this route might end in a bad ending (or a good one, depends on you ;) )
But what the devs are planing is a whole other thing... Maybe there will be different endings depending on answeres and routes chosen, some of them could be bad ones... If you want MC and Mary stay together... Well, I think your route should only include her and nothing/nobody else... If you want anything else, feel free ;)

But I think we all agree that it's a great game!

You dont need to copy paste anything just start up 0.60 and your save should be there as the save files are stored in your system drive under Appdata/Roaming/Renpy. So short version just download and play no need to copy paste anything
