Another note, I was playing in Los Angeles, and somewhere down the road, the game broke the maps files or something. Any time I save the game, it puts my location as Marbella. This has not happened to any other map as of yet. I can't even download the map again because you've got them uploaded on Mega, and I've hit my quota. I also have a friend in game who has sent me nudes and videos of them masturbating, but when in a scene asking to have sex, they become furious and storm off, a bit odd for someone who thinks you're just friends to send those sorta things. They even say the same thing after having sex. My stats with said person also tanked, despite everything going great. Rapport just seems to trend downward despite dates and interactions go well.
I will fix this. The game looks for the end of each file path to identify which map is which so LA.uasset and Marbella.uasset ends up being confused with each other.
Yeah, there are some imbalances in conditions between scenes which lead to situations like this. Try giving the friend gifts and flowers or the perk that improves relationship per date.

Also, on a serious note, how do the icons and whatnot work? You can move the camera in the city, icons will show up, and you move it just a tiny amount, loads disappear, and loads of new ones appear, even if it's not very dense. Also, female doctors at work are just wearing a labcoat, with nothing underneath, which shows pretty mich everything. I was also able to just become a doctor, with just default stats, I even tried decreasing them all, which had no effect on my ability to just get a job as a doctor on day one. Also, it'd be amazing if you added in an option to make it where right clicking didn't bring up a menu, its extremely annoying having it always pop up when moving the camera. Theres also loads of new buildings that now show themselves after I had edited a building.
I tried to mimic Google Maps on how different zoom level affects which icons are shown, but it's quite a complex thing to program so it behaves a bit oddly. The map is something I will overhaul eventually so I leave this for now.
You don't need to right click to move the camera. Hold the middle mouse button instead - does the same thing.

Hey guys, trying this out, and it seems INCREDIBLY ambitious! Having quite a lot of fun with it. But, i keep getting the following error, both at a home I am renting, and at a brothel:

Can I get some help with this?

I wonder if it has to do with my mod load order I'm trying? Here it is:

I just checked that scene file, and cannot see any errors. And ran it several times without any problems. Is it only with the hookers or all sex?

Check:
- Ctrl + E > Finish > Make sure you're interested in some sort of gender, i.e. not asexual
- Esc > Customize NPC Distribution > make sure the male / female / shemale isn't too imbalanced (the default is 0.4, 0.4 and 0.2 I think)

Oh, hey, my male/female/shemale stuff is set to ONLY be hetero. I have all 'opposite gender preference' to on, and NO same sex preference. Also, I have trans content set to disabled with the tick mark in the settings, and my NPC Distribution for them is Zero. Is that my issue? There's got to be some hetero hookers lol.

EDIT: Consolidated two posts to keep from double-posting.

It seems that I've gotten another error so far... "Meet_Customer_Service" in "Meet_Random" refuses to fire for me. I even re-installed this game completely fresh, keeping only my player character preset and using 7zip to decompress instead of WinRar to see if it was an unpacking problem.

The first time I installed this was on my standard HDD... to test it. Then, to try and get better performance, I just cut the folder and pasted it into my M2 drive on the same computer. I may have caused issues doing that. But what's funny is, when I actually did completely reinstall the game and the mods here, my settings were kept from the previous gamplay o.o ... Well, more or less, there were a couple of things off. But, i found that odd. Does this game store data elsewhere also? AppData/Local maybe?

EDIT THE SECOND: Another question for you all... Is there a way to modify the skintones that will appear on generated NPC's? Not special ones, just regular NPC's. I tried to alter some of the files in Phenotypes_Daz, but to no avail. It appears that changing the morphs in those files works, just not the skin tones for some reason?

Yeah, try backup and delete C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Local\LifePlay\Saved , should reset the game settings and npc distribution to a clean state. Don't think it's anything to do with download / unpacking

Male character customization (appearance) lacks the "genital" menu. Somehow, we are able to fully customize futa/trans genitals, but not the male ones (very limited options).

I'd like to ask to implement such customization options on males too, shold be easy since the data is already there.

I think vinfamy means in your character generation screen Gender/morphs/hair/skin/personal where you name your Char did you click the interested in Men/women Boxes . The only thing I can see in common with those two scripts is the "While !Player.IsInterestedIn(New_Person)" so it is looking for an npc you might be sexual interested in? if you didnt click a box, it wont find a result and will go on forever!
Press esc/ edit appearance/ and check under personal heading to make sure at least one box is ticked.

Ok, deleting my Lifeplay AppData fixed all my troubles! Thank you very much Vinfamy. Great work here!

EDIT: Lostlegends, thank you too buddy. I did check those values to ensure my dude wasn't asexual. I think my problem was overlapping data from 2 diff locations on my pc when i ran the game... im not a programmer, but i know ditching Lifeplays AppData stuff and starting a new game with my character preset did the trick. It even kept my npc distribution settings intact... they kept resetting due to conflicting files >.<

Appreciate ya!

2.10 includes a public beta testing period before official release. So, here are the links for those wanting to help beta-test this version (or just really impatient). No previous beta testing experience is required - it's as simple as playing the game normally and report any bugs you encounter.
  • (requires v2.0 Stable or later)
The beta testing period will last around 36 hours, aiming for official release of v2.10 (which will include the rest of the platforms and mirrors of course) on the previously promised date of Friday, 18 October
My preferred channel to receive bug reports from beta testers is . But a reply here would do too.
If you're not interested in beta-testing the game and are not super impatient to try out the new content in this version, it's recommended to just wait until Friday for the final v2.10 releases.
Thank you for all your help!

Change Log:
- New Quests system : Each quest is meant to tell a story and, in essence, consists of a collection of scenes linked with each other in a number different paths + a number of actions you can take with specific buildings depending on the current 'stage' of the quest to advance the story. Unlike normal scenes which trigger under certain conditions + RNG while the player is doing seemingly unrelated stuffs, quests are designed to involve the player more proactively - the story only starts and progresses if the player takes the needed action (with quest objective UI elements to make the next step(s) clear). Just like scenes though, quests are fully moddable simply using a text editor - early-adopting modders can start adding their own new quests right away after v2.10 is out.
- First two quests: sabotage & missing person case. I chose to make these two first because they are structurally contrasting to each other:
- The sabotage quest: this is an example of a 'radiant quest' that can repeated unlimited times with different NPCs each time. This quest involves the player trying to break up the relationship of a couple, with multiple options how to go about this and multiple endings. A lot of variables and very non-linear.
- The missing person investigation quest: this is an example of a 'story quest' that can only be done once per playthrough. All the characters involved in the story are fixed in name, appearance (I 'designed' their faces and bodies myself) and attributes. It's a lot more linear than the radiant quest above and less variable, thus allowing for a longer story with more character development.
- Bug fixes and other improvements, with a public beta testing period

Now this im interested in, and could be a game changer. Lets see what we have.

Ok after first looks I have to say this is looking Extremly good, and from a modding point of veiw there is a lot of potential.
Didnt do the last update due to massive workload on at the moment, but im clearing it up now so should get back into it soon. The action shortcuts are as ugly as hell, but are function and will do the job better than before. You seem to have moved the text up during sex scenes, or something has changed my end. Still not a fan personally but it does look a lot better. Only bug found so far is I can no longer change clothing colour.

Wow an update! And a meaty one! I'll be looking to test my noobish ass against it soon. I have been playing goody goody types and keeping stats unchanged as i try to learn the ropes of this game, but hey... I think I'll jump right in. Thank you!

Edit: So I still can't, for the life of me, get my skin tone changes to work. This is in every new game I start, even after clearing the Lifeplay folder from AppData along with my save information from the game install folder in order to not have conflicting files or values or something. I completely start fresh.

However, all I am adjusting are values in the Lifeplay 2-10\LifePlay\Content\Modules\vin_Base\Presets\phenotypes_daz .lpcharacter files for the Daz ones. Do I need to mirror what I'm doing for the legacy ones too, in order to see my changes occur? Or are skin tone values for characters that are spawned in (landlords, bosses, randoms at movie theater encounters, etc) kept in more than one area? Is there a way to fully control this?

I think either the skin tone or the phenotypes themselves might be 'hard coded' in one of the ueasset file. I don't remember exactly why I did this - If I did, I must have run into some trouble using just lpcharacters. Will look into it for the next version

This is the second post I've made today so make sure

Those that have followed the project's progress since the start may remember the terrible demo video I made for v1.0 :p. Obviously, with all the changes the game has gone through in the last 1.5 years, an update is long overdue and thankfully, Lee Thompson has been kind enough to put together a new demo / trailer for the game using footage from the more recent updates to help promote the game to more players. Thank you, Lee!

The video can be watched online on the following video platforms: - - -

The original video file that can downloaded from here:

To help promote the project, if possible, please like / comment / share / repost the trailer video on any NSFW video sites you have an account with. The more people become aware of the game and try it, the faster the project can grow so your help in this regard is very much appreciated!

I have the 2.09 version
I just need to extract the update in the old game folder ?
I need to copy the save before and just take it in the new folder

Extract the contents of the zip file into your current game folder. Overwrite any files when prompted.

No need to backup or move saves or custom characters etc.

It is then a good idea to rename the game folder to reflect the current version (ie "LifePlay_2_10_64bit") so that you can quickly see what version you have for future reference.
