Check the file Improve_Performance_On_Weaker_PCs.txt in the game's main directory.

That said, as soon as visually stimulating factors are involved (text based games can be great, I remember fondly works created with TADS back what feels a century ago, and even older stuff I stumbled over on alt.sex.stories - anyone who reads this and heard of boffingbothgenerations is entitled to a cookie, and is old like me) getting a better experience/performance out of games will always require you using an adequate and modern system.

If your graphics card isn't up to run LifePlay in its current state then the computer you are using is sadly outdated. If in any way feasable, consider updating so your platform is capable of performing modern tasks (3D porn included).

Mod Update: A Vampire's Unlife V1.0.38

Contains: Mind Control, Mind Break, Incest, NonConsensual, Netori

Overview:
This might be my final release of this mod, unless anyone reports any serious bugs in the scenes.
As of now, there are 10 playable scenes, the important one's can be toggled with the NPC context menu.
All of them involve a new character tag 'Thrall', signalling the npc with that tag has been mentally enslaved/enthralled by the MC playing a vampire.
At this time, that tag only enables you to subsequently enthrall other people - a randomly created npc that is a friend of your thrall companion, or, for those inclined, your thrall's family members, love interests and spouses you KNOW of (requires mods activated: netori, BDSM, nonConsensual, incest).
While a player will only encounter npcs they are attracted to when using the mod's scenes, that does not mean those who get enthralled have to be attracted to the player to have sexy times happening... because, you know... mind control is evil...
Furthermore, the act of enthralling requires quite a big chunk of energy, and don't expect the powers running the universe won't notice you being a bad boy/girl (coughkarmacough).

Content:
- Scene checks sexual orientation of your soon-to-be thrall and whether the person is still a virgin, with additional decisions and text within the scene. Finishing with a threesome with thralls dating or being married to each other applies NTRcuck tag to each
- Two scenes where you ask your thrall to introduce you to his/her family. NPCs created in the scene get the tag tc (thrall candidate, tag gets removed as soon as NPC gets enthralled), which results in minor dialogue changes in the existing thrall scenes. Trigger scenes via console command:
thrall_family_young : creates two siblings and parents for active thrall companion, including respective family relations to each other
thrall_family_old : creates a spouse and three children for active thrall companion, including respective family relations to each other

New content:
- It is now possible to do some 'softcore' enthrallment, depending the targeted NPC passing a pretty hefty check on perversion and masochism. If the check is passed the scene plays out with the NPC allowing the player to enthrall him_or_her willingly, with a much lower hit on karma and energy involved.
- Also rewrote a lot of the scenes, i.e. having your thrall giving the target NPC a little show when he_or_she dosn't believe the player is his or her vampiric Master_or_Mistress.

Also:
Feel free to use/rewrite all the code of this mod as you like.

I had added the option to enthrall a person in the Hypnotize (should be shown as Hypnotize / Entrhall when right clicking on your companion) interaction.
As a workaround just manually add the tag thrall to the target character (where stuff is listed like asian, elf, pregnant, etc.) See attached screenshot.
Note that I haven't posted any updates of the mod for some time now - honestly since few people seem to be interested into that particular power fantasy fetish. Right now I quite extensively rewrote scenes for both school and mayor career paths. If anyone's interested I can upload them.

you have to be a vampire yourself first.

left click on the character you want to enthrall and scroll down to "hypnotize / enthrall"

I absolutely hate the way I see the game... There's a ton of content, a lot to do... But its completely, and utterly unimmersive and just impossible to enjoy. All the menus have long lists of items, but on tiny little window that takes ages to find anything, meaning you spend time staring at a scrolling list trying to find what you're looking for. Animations are great, but trying to figure out how to undress characters is another chore the first time you do it. NOTHING in this game happens organically, everything is a menu driven clickfest. Every action you take is just a looped animation of your character and a progress bar.

Is there any mod that makes it a more... Immersive (hate repeating this word) experience? Where you feel like you're the actual character, rather than some omnipresent supernatural being in control of the universe?

Attached to this post is the version I use right now.

New content:
Being a student allows you to use your powers on your teachers and fellow students.
Being mayor of the city will allow you to enthrall your aides after sex during hiring, and you are able to do the same to the random NPCs that try to bribe you (also after sex, they're made permanent and appear in your contacts).
While cucking a friend or employee you can now also enthrall their SO after the act. While hiring an employee... you guessed it, you can enthrall them after sex.

Changed scenes:
I rewrote the scenes where a vampire hunter (both pro and amateur) attacks. The outcome is now much more in favour of the player. Also, yes, enthrallment follows.

Scenes that need to be triggered via console, not via menu:
thrall_family_old: generates a spouse and three children for the thrall accompaning the player at that moment.
thrall_family_young: generates two siblings and parents for the thrall accompaning the player at that moment.
bull_repeats_male: just something I wrote while playing in a world with only 10% other males, checks for the NTRMale tag.
friend_many_children: creates 4 random children for the companion. Checks for a spouse and sets appropriate relationships.
vampire_teacher_thrall: starts a scene where the player can interact with an enthralled teacher of theirs.

Known issues:
- I tried to write the scenes with both male and female vampire players in mind - unfortunately I encountered some sceneparts that do only fit for a male player vampire talking to a female npc... I THINK I fixed all dialogue where your male thrall is happy about getting impregnated by you, but I'm sure I missed some stuff, so be warned of possible awkward moments...
- I uploaded the lpscenes that I use myself, so all karma-penalties are #ed right now. So enthrall away, the universe dosn't care that you are being naughty.
- There might be instances when a scene dosn't run the way I supposed it to, mostly stuff like me not setting an EndIf where one needs to be and then forgetting to fix it. Those should be pretty rare, though.

I think I found the reason why it doesn't appear. I've changed my race to vampire in the character creation screen, but it seems like it always automatically reverts back to human after confirming. Does anyone know why?
That being said, I'd definitely be interested in the newer version.

Edit: Found it, being a vampire is entirely based on the FHMSYVampire Morph / FBMSYVampire Slider. As long as you have at least a 1 in one of those, you are considered vampire.

No, I just checked, of all my active mods my own is second to last.
Also, just created a new game with the char generated as vampire, worked as intended.
Newest mod is in the post above yours, have fun as soon as you got on top of that character generation problem!

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if I'm bringing up a known issue or repeating something that has been mentioned before, but I'm experiencing some problems with NPCs not appearing during certain scenes. Occasionally, they do show up outside the building and I can locate them by moving the camera, but most of the time they don't appear at all. If anyone could assist me with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I have tried to find the txt you're referring to, but sadly it doesn't seem to be in my LP installation folder. Could you maybe upload it here? Thanks in advance.

This text file used to be included in version 4 of the game, but I couldn't find it in version 5. I've included a copy in this post, although it doesn't really go into too much depth, and you probably already know what it says. All the same, you can see for yourself.

**Edit** I forgot to say that playing in a smaller city like Bath helped tremendously. When I played in London I also used to have problems, and you don't really need a big city to enjoy the game.

I always have to, unless using one already done, for strip clubs and whorehouses - those tend not to be on Google Maps where vin gets the data. Some don't have restaurants and at least 1 didn't even have houses. Same with beauty salons and even gyms.

Then you haven't played Frankfurt. There is a quarter with a bunch of (real existing) brothels near the railway station.
