I almost died of laughter.
Considering it was a quote from "Anton Pawlowitsch Tschechow" who wrote a drama called "three sisters" you would have a lot of fucking to do.

Back to old proven tactics against trolls. TREBUCHETS!!!!!
This is really about Chekhov. But not from the drama, but from his correspondence with his brother. In fact, this phrase has long since become an aphorism without reference to this writer. And no, I am not a troll. It is only a rhetorical wish to those who write comments half a page long.

Well, Anton Chekhov was referenced in the previous posts, as was his play "Three Sisters."

I think there is something to be considered about how Denise is looking at the relationship (well, lack thereof) of the MC and Macy ... one might look at near the end of Act II of "Three Sisters" as Chebutykin reflects on the loss many years prior of not marrying the mother of Andrey (the brother of the three sisters). Andrey says that "Marriage is quite unnecessary ... because it's a bore" and ;Chebutykin responds "That may be so. But then there's loneliness. However you might philosophize about it, loneliness is a terrible thing ..."

Denise has mentioned several times of her worry about the loneliness of the MC and Macy, her machinations are in an attempt to thwart the emptiness that is involved.

NR has used classic literature and art as an impetus for the story arc of this game ... perhaps we haven't considered other possible influences.

What the fuck does any Chekhov have to do with this game and furthermore why do we fucking care? If it is the classic composer, like really... or is it Anton Chekhov the Soviet playwright or Pavel Chekov from Star Trek???
What in the fuck are you dude's even talking about and why are you doing it here???
Dude, if you're not on the topic of conversation, just stand quietly to the side and don't interfere with a conversation between adults.

NR has used classic literature and art as an impetus for the story arc of this game ... perhaps we haven't considered other possible influences.
And this is the main reason why this novel is so appealing to people.

That is also the reason ppl write walls of text to discuss certain topics about it while we often drift apart from topic that way.

Influences are depending on what kind library ppl have at home quite alot but that would derail the thread again off topic.

The only thing that is a given is the biblical influence from "lot and his daughters" portrayed in the musem when denise and the MC visit there. Also gives Denise a way to handle the loneliness she fears for her family.

And the "bear" is clearly a influence from "The Revenant" altough the licking part clearly is from other sources.....

Speaking of the disclaimer, does anyone else like to pick the options to get thrown out when trying new games? The first time I usually say I'm not old enough or I can't handle the content just to see what the game does. Often the game just closes but occasionally there's something interesting.

LoML is a tough one because it offers to unlock the gallery if I troll it, and I don't want that. The game also wants me to agree to not give a terrible review if I won't meet the game on its terms.

So I got thrown out several times trying to get through in different ways without complying.

I like that the disclaimer acknowledges if someone has returned after getting booted. It's a surprisingly high effort disclaimer!

(...)The game also wants me to agree to not give a terrible review if I won't meet the game on its terms.(...)
I put that bit in there after I was getting a ton of low reviews from people who weren't actually playing the game complaining on how bad the game was they just finished not playing.

The exact wording, for those that never saw it, is:
"Right. Just don't come find me online to gripe, or post one-star reviews about lack of content in a game that you skipped almost all content of."

To which the player can reply with:
"I won't come to gripe or post bad reviews when I'm actually just skipping to the lewd bits."

To which it replies:
"Thanks, that's something I guess. Although I'm pretty sure you'd probably be happier doing something else, I still hope you enjoy the few bits you don't skip."

It was meant as both a joke and a courtesy, mind you. I have no doubt that LomL is a below average experience if you cut out everything but the bits with nipples out, compared to when you do the exact same thing to some other titles out there, especially to a player who's only interested in the nipples and could care less about any form of story, and I was trying to spare them that experience.

Not that that's ever worked, of course. :ROFLMAO:

There's always someone dropping by complaining on how bad this game is they never actually played, or how poor the writing they never read. And how when they do slow down for some nipples, what they get of the story doesn't really conform to the easy tropes they're used to and thoroughly confuses them, which is of course more evidence on how much of a stinking pile of overrated garbage it truly is.

Of course, I guess I should have seen that coming, people who don't read VNs will not read that disclaimer either. Oh well.

At the end of the game this is a porn game. And just like with porn videos the experience is better if you can fast forward and play at your own pace.
