I was originally put off by the character models in the initial shots that I was seeing. I thought Macy's face was too skinny and pointed, for instance. Those concerns quickly dissipated once I actually started reading the VN and saw the characters in all their various facial expressions.

Macy seems to be the most robust in having different aspects of her personality; you get the bad-girl version of her with her eye-rolls and the 'eye' she sometimes shoots at Lou, and then there's how vulnerable she was at the funeral, or her laughing at the dinner table at something unintentionally insane that her sister had said.

I even like it when Denise points her fork at her sister while talking; I don't know why that amuses me, it just does.

I've seen a lot of VN's using what people would call good renders, but the expressions and body language are both completely wooden. I've found that I'm even perfectly fine with models that others have criticized, such as those from Honey Select, so long as the characters show expression and are at least posed naturally. Once I realize that the characters never smirk or are keeping their arms almost at their sides at all times . . . I'm done.

Variety is the spice of life, and I find too often that devs are just creating multiples of what they think a generic hotty should look like. This usually results in a technically pretty barbie-doll that's absolutely boring and does nothing for me.

Denise and Macy represent two completely different body-types, and are both wholly different from every other character out there. Macy is tall and skinny, and her piercings and tattoos only serve to make it more interesting from a visual standpoint. Denise is not really a character that I would have thought of as 'sexy'. She's got those braids, a gap-tooth, and she's short, which all just screams, 'loli' to me. She's also got well-developed tits and an ass for miles and mile and miles. Oddly enough, just changing her hair entirely changes my visual perspective of her.

I shit you not; there's a guy running around with a sig banner with Denise's hair done up in a bun, and Macy beating her ass like a bongo drum that was literally the deciding factor when it came to me deciding to give this VN a go.

I still think that the three 'S's are nightmare fuel. I'd fuck the shit out of Brooke, but Sara, Zara, and Sierra keep me up at night, and not in a good way.

I honestly think most people that have problems with this story think of it as a branching VN and not a kinetic VN with minor choices as in a lot of JP VN sold with branching paths the story can sometimes go a different route with a different conclusion by basically choosing a different character/s to interact with more until you reach the break point in which the paths split or in some cases the story ends. As far as I can tell their are no other paths just scenes that are skipped based on choice which ultimately will just alter the relationships status when the story ends, which I'm guessing the multiple endings tag is for the ending status in relationships can be different and possibly comes with an epilogue section based on relationships.

That is about right, except different paths might have some wildly varying dialog (for instance the M+D Locked Out paths have very different dialogs going on as to their motivations and their romantic interactions with each other, even if the images that accompany that dialog are the same).

But I made a very deliberate choice not to have branching paths, that would require creating graphical assets that would be mutually exclusive between branches. E.g. you can see all the content for any character in one play-through, unless you cut off the path for that character. Being a one-man show and already incredibly strapped for time, it felt like a waste of time to create a lot of content that is seen by only half the players or less (depending on the number of branches and distribution of choices).

Sir, this is one of the things I LOVE about your game! It reduces 'stress' a lot because of it. I always want to see all the scenes so I'm glad I don't have to have multiple save files and rewind multiple paths to try and see all the content.
So... what you may see as a negative/limitation, I see as a huge boon!

Honestly, due the character design I kind of avoided it before but damn... that was huge mistake, love the writing and two main girls. Honestly, I always enjoyed kind of "slice of life" stories and I think If it was normal VN (without sex) I would love it too. :) Honestly wonderful job writing 2 main girls.

Really curious how it will go in the next chapter!

Very understandable as time is limited in what can be done but tbh I too hate playing branching path games that are bloated with choices as the only ones I like would be the ones that just have the choices to select the path and then it goes semi Kinetic like this game does, as one does not have time to play a game with enough paths to look like a tree lol.

I also initially didn't try this game because of the ugly models. But, two things happened:
1. The game got glowing reviews, so I decided to try it after all.
2. I got used to the girls and now actually like them a lot.
Whereas I tried the game because of the use of non-standard models. It suggested to me that Naughty was interested in telling a story and not just going the common route.

How is this so popular, yet I see no Fan Art of the girls, like AWAM and Big Brother?
I can't vouch for everyone else, especially those who create fanart for porn games. I used to create fanart all the time. I used to draw my favorite videogame and web-comic characters. Then again, whenever I've done anything at all artistic I have meant it to be seen. I don't think I'd want to display in visual format, anything that I might be a fan of in regards to what can be found on f95zone.

Then again, I think that my time reading erotic visual novels has simply activated my interest in writing more than anything else. I couldn't, for example, write anything that touches on the subject of rape without thinking first on Lockhearts, 'Avalon'.
