I corrected myself by stating that Naughtyroad also works a regular job and this is his side pet project which makes sense for the long wait time. I didnt take that into consideration. Also i didnt take into consideration resting aspect of working on this project. Talking with his fan base can be good for unwinding and de-stressing.
Gods, this again. It's not a side project, it's my main occupation, as I've stated many times, with on average 50 hrs a week spent on creating LomL, and 32 hours a week on my second job, which actually pays for the car, the mortgage, and all the other bills. Those hours spent on LomL are posted weekly in the progress update btw, which are available to everyone.
Insinuating it's weekend hobby is bit of a misrepresentation to say the least, but then again, from your the next bit, that's sort of the object here?

Over 1 year to one and a half years per episode is way too long. For the amount of time that Naughtyroad makes comments and has discussions, he probably could have shaved off a month or two development time per episode. (...)
Right, so I spent 400 hours last year messing around on this forum? I think you have us both mixed up, I hardly have time to work out for half an hour or do one of the few chores my wife sets for me, let alone spent weeks on end effing around in this place listening to entitled twerps whining about how their free game takes too long to arrive by some arbitrary standard they pulled out of thin air.

I get it. its his game/baby/story he can do whatever he wants however the longer it takes, the more impatient his fanbase can get which will probably lead to people picking fights with one another because Naughtyroad has deprived the people of this great game/story for so long.
Nah, we don't have time to pick fights with one another. We're far too busy discussing the merits of medieval siege weaponry.

Do we? Odd. Sounds fine to me. How do you pronounce it??
That was something that surprised me. I've never been aware of a Canadian pronouncing vague any differently than I do. Sounds like "vayg." I guess some English speakers extend the a, with the vowel a little softer than the North American pronunciation. Sort of like "vayig."

I suppose it's better than arguing over the carrying capacity of migratory birds.

Does the Dardanelles Gun count as medieval siege weaponry? If so it has all the others beat. I want to see an accurate replica shoot a tank.

You're making it sound like i won't buy it (I am going to)
No, no! I only meant that I won't be starting a new game because of the Steam release, specifically! Buying it has the dual purpose of tossing a tip to NR for a fantastic job, and of letting Steam know there's a market for this kind of game (which is something I'd like to see continue, for obvious reasons).

Ok cool, yeah I definetly buy the games i like on here if they release on steam, there are like four this year alone that i know of coming to steam (this, Race of life, Westview academy etc.)

I sounded a bit confrontational there i apologize.

I figure you come here to pick up energy from your fans. The more complaining, whining, etc the less you need it. I dont make games, I dont know how, so I sure as hell dont set out to bitch about people who do. I was thinking today about how you prioritize your game development. It is obvious that tempo does not rule you. It is so evident that you are motivated by quality and detail than speed. If LOML sucked, or was even on even keel with many other games, we would not care about updates, would we? I prefer to drop a word of appreciation once in a while and keep out of your nose. Yes, Im a fan, Yes I am anxious for the update... you continue your quality and originality or else you lose your audience. So Im NOT going to bite your ankles. It also occurred to me today the worst thing will be when the game is finished. No more updates. Full stop. I guess we will keep the thread open so we can continue complaining. UNLESS, ahem, it is followed by LOML II !! :) or MAYBEEE an installment of Girl and Bunny vs the Queen Bee.... (mm I wont let it drop)

I'm not surprised that it takes so much time to complete this new chapter. When you create a game and give choices, if you want to make those choices real and not just an illusion the more you advance in the story the more complex it becomes and taking in account every possibility becomes a challenge.
I have played so many games that gave you choices but then later, the dev just gives you the finger and defines a canon story because he cannot handle it anymore.
That's why i start to like more Kinetic novels, in this way you get a story that makes sense and you avoid those annoying situations where your choices are ignored and the story you have played becomes a mess.
So we should just let the dev do his work carefully, so we don't end up with just a porn game with a bunch of sex scenes that happen for no reason but to please the supposed fans.

I have to admit, coming from a background in fan fiction, I tend to have a prime sequence of events in mind when I write. I then have to come up with alternatives in order to make it a VN. I probably would be happier doing Kinetic Novels, but the market puts VNs over KNs. The same with sex scenes. I have a number of projects on my list that lean naturally to having sex scenes, but in others, they need to be shoehorned in. Dirty Snowball is going to be a survival situation in deep space--Other than the association with life and death, the characters probably shouldn't spend their energy on sex. *shrug*

I hope someone's soul is moved and the Spanish translation does not take long to appear, because it is very painful to wait so long to just click or type the text in the google translator. thanks since now.

ojala y a alguien se le conmueva el alma y no demore en aparecer la traduccion en español, pues es muy doloroso esperar tanto tiempo para solo dar click o teclear el texto en el google traductor. gracias desde ya.

The problem with VNs and choices is that it does not make the story stronger but weaker because you need to get away from a lot of thing in order to avoid a too complex story impossible to handle correctly.
I am working on a story since quite a long time but each time i try to put a choice i realise that there is so many good thing that i cannot do anymore.
