I would rather wait and experience it when it's polished

Sadly, we're all some kind of beta testers. I cannot remember a (good) game that came recently (read 10+ years) out without needing a patch, fix, hotfix, "performance" upgrade... On any major platform. Luckily adult games aren't until now largely effected, but this disease slowly come this way. (I know some games are affected, but I usually play only AVN's, they are mostly good so far)
And now back from commercials, we can continue about wrenches, trebuchets, bears, release date

Elden Ring developed by "fromsoftware"
Light of my Life developed "NaughtyRoad"
GTA 5 developed by "Rockstar Games"
Red Dead Redemption 2 also by "Rockstar Games"
What do those 4 have in common? Dedication, Vision and a god damn plan on how a game should be on release. (talking only about the single player stuff)
So if naughty makes alot of bank on this (which i sincerely hope) we are on our best way to get better, bigger and more games of this quality.

Love the gaming rose tinted glasses. Not only were older games less complex the hoops the unlucky ones had to jump through to get a game to work were often astronomical. Trouble shooting on dos is a nightmare, compared to a day one patch. There are definitely plenty of examples of shoddy coding practices in the games industry today (optimization who?) but I'd much rather game today than 20 or 30 years ago.
