Trying to be vague, but blunt. Inno Stan met average person on this thread using inno logic in their argument. Won't explain more as that will be treading the mods line after I already got a warning for my review of the game.

man it sucks how most of the mods for this game are now dead because of discord shenanigans (regardless of if they worked or not)

I'd hazard to say that "banned or hate discord" counts the large majority of the people in this thread.

Fair. I don't hate discord nor am I banned, but based on the stories told here I don't think I would last a day before being banned XD so I just don't join.

Is there any guide for this game? And is there any point in using the Resist button during and before sex?

The game comes with a "101 guide" to make a quick progress + tutorial of some features, but I recommend going blind until you complete story missions (or what's there so far).
Resist in sex serves as rape-roleplay.
OK. The game really has problems with balance. The enemies seem absolutely invincible. I haven't won a single fight in three hours. Well, because instead of a weapon I have a stupid crystal. Hell, even Corruption of Champions is fairer to the player. In addition, I am not very happy about the inability to interrupt rape.
I refuse to join Discord servers for adult games on principle, but that's a personal thing. If there was an easy way to have multiple discord accounts (even if, on the backend, it's the same) I wouldn't mind as much, probably, but I still wouldn't be happy about it.

Where are you fighting?
What have you been fighting? If you keep running into hardier stuff like cow-morphs or wolf-morphs, I can see how that would make the early game annoying.
The crystal grants you a spell, but the damage it itself deals is not too much different than the pipes and brass knuckles you will often see in the alleys.
If you want a quick way to level and do not mind being a prostitute for a bit, a few of the early quests will net you enough XP for two levels. Grab Orgasmic Level Drain, straight down the middle. Use the money Rose hands you to buy the prostitution license from Angel, it is exactly enough. Then just go upstairs in the whorehouse and pull levels out of your customers.

I usually use different aliases for different channels, but wanting no ties between them is understandable.
When you first start, there's a storm going on that makes enemies super horny. Spam tease on them and they'll drop within a turn or two. You can even use level drain on the foes you beat, though this requires a bit more micro management than Draupnir's suggestion.
The game does have issues with balance, but if you're playing on one of the easier difficulties, it sounds like you are approaching the fights wrong.
The crystal in not worse than any other basic weapon, it is enough to beat some of the weaker enemies, if you know what you are doing. Spam the Crystal Strike to get the crit on third use, maybe block if their damage is low enough to mostly negate and you can still get your own damage through.
If you go out during an arcane storm, like the one that is active just as the game starts, you can easily beat most enemies you will meet on the streets of Dominion by just teasing them. The experience and money you get from looting them of everything they own you can use to further improve your chances.
And with level drain, you can also sex the defeated enemies for extra experience. As far as I know, you only need to have the perk active and then do quick sex, and it works even if they are the ones defeating you.
In general, I find that focussing on teasing damage is the easiest. Any non-demon enemy is capped at 100 and even demons take double health damage for any tease damage, once the bar fills up.

Prostitution as leveling is nice not just because you get your license money back in three encounters, but the experience gain is based on the level of whoever you drain. Their level times ten. The level range for customers is from 5 to 9, and if you sell yourself as a dom, you can keep the customer there until you drain them down to 1.
Some races are resistant to lust defeat, which just means that they treat lust like a shield or extra health. Anything demonic or half-demonic (except for imps), mythological creatures, and some normal creatures like capybara. I believe the Arcane stat required for resistance is 10, but I do not remember.

Probably biased because i've played the game for years by now, but iirc as you play along the battle will soon become a joke and super easy, but my usual goto to create an op battle mc right from the getgo is: soldier background + level up health, physical & melee passives + equip long katana & short katana weapon (+ eat food & drink that temporarily increase physique, optional), this combo would ohko almost anyone in the game
Extra Tips: just type b u g g y in-game and help yourselves with some isekai op mc "blessings" selection. It's an early access single player furry porn game, it's not like you want to post your achievements in your steam timeline or something like that
