a good chunk of the community managed to learn how the game works without needing to be spoon-fed
The point is the game does spoon-feed you info about how every little thing works, except for this one major thing. I'd have no problem with the game not explaining anything. But I do have a problem with it not explaining this one thing precisely because it explains everything else. This expectation of being spoon-fed is created by the game itself.

some folks nowadays can't do anything that doesn't come with a clear and concise spreadsheet or instructions...
But what if something does come with clear and concise instructions for every step, except a step is missing from those instructions, so if you follow them, you end up with an incorrect result? Who do you blame then, yourself or the maker of the instructions?

Sure, I'll give you that there's an inconsistency in how the game is delivered. It could be improved. But that still doesn't change the fact a portion of the people who play this game deliberately ignore the text delivered to them because they are ""text dumps"", because they don't care about the story, and therefore, are missing the parts that tell them how the game works. Is the developer at blame here? Again, both parties need to meet at a middle-ground.

I mean, yes, but those people are playing the wrong game.

Call me arrogant and high-and-mighty if you will, but if a good chunk of the community managed to learn how the game works without needing to be spoon-fed, do we really need to change things now? Or are we better off pushing people to be a little less lazy, pay attention to the text (it's a text game, reading is part of it) and to experiment with the game mechanics, to discover? It almost looks like some folks nowadays can't do anything that doesn't come with a clear and concise spreadsheet or instructions...
What the fuck is this bullshit?

If the story isn't enough to get people to read it you can't punish them for that, but what SordidDreams is saying is that the game does NOT tell the reader, interested or otherwise, how it works.

This is just wrong, the middle ground here is not the right spot. The game is "flawed" and the dev is at blame for that. It's such a trivial thing that you could call it a typo, a bug, but it's still the Dev's fault.
Like I said, really small mistake, but still a mistake. I usually prefer discreet tutorials, with little to no red circles or "now grab this item and repeat what I just did", but that's a personal and probably less popular preference. In a sandbox game such as LT having clear instructions is a necessity, even more if you consider the mental state the players will be in while playing (porn game after all).

yes i didn't know how to play the game at first after i learned how to play i didn't transform my self until a couple of days later irl and when i read some where that a item could be used to transformation potion then i got it then cheek out the enchantment menu. first transformation was into a alligatortuar so the menu is easy to learn by looking at it but getting it is not explained at all even in reading the quest to unlock it, all it does is give a description of what it can do. adding a book in the library to explain it could be useful to new/unexperienced players for the transformation part of the game
I'm am sorry for rambling on

It could be improved.
Yep. While it is simply not true that there's "no hint" given, the fact that a large number of users fail to pick up on how potions work means that there is a problem with how this information is being delivered. It clearly needs to be made much more obvious that Lilaya is explaining the uses of the game's secondary currency and a major game mechanic.

Even something as simple as some additional dialogue from Lilaya in the vein of:

"Enchanting drinks and foods in this way can produce potions with all kinds of effects: transformations, temporary enhancement and healing. By studying the various consumable items you come across, you should be able to get an idea of what kinds of potions can be created by enchanting them."

It does?

There's a detailed in-game tutorial on how combat works? Magic? Elemental companions? The sex system?

Whilst the explanation of the enchanting mechanics is clearly flawed, it's still more explanation than many of the mechanics get.

Hello again!

I'm sorry about the lack of communication since the last update, and for the fact that I haven't managed to get more than these bugfixes done for this version. I've struggled a little over the past couple of weeks to get the promised content for v0.4 done (race modding and Fields content), but I'll do my best to get it finished off and released as an addition to this version as soon as possible (hopefully within the next week or so).

Thank you all so much for your support, and I'm sorry again for letting you down with this poor update. I'll set myself a reminder this time to make a progress post next week so that I don't leave you all with no information again.
Enjoy! \^o^/

I think you slightly misinterpreted what I said. If you go back and re-read what I wrote, you'll discover I said the game gives you no hints how to make transformation items. Which is completely true. Yes, Lilaya show you enchanting on a consumable (even though at the time you most likely have no idea what the item she is using even is), but you never get to see the result.

the fact that a large number of users fail to pick up on how potions work means that there is a problem with how this information is being delivered
Yes. Thank you for agreeing with my main point.

Um, yes? What do you think the sex scene in the museum is? Why do you think the game always starts with an arcane storm? That's there to provide you easy access to weakened enemies in order to get a handle on how combat works without presenting too much challenge. You don't get an NPC guiding you through it step by step because the dialogue and combat systems are separate, but there most definitely is a tutorial zone (or rather time period) present.

so many questions to ask:
1. when will the bounty hunter quest begin? would that mean you can enslave anyone (other than demons)
2. when will we get the outside world quests? and will there be new species (species of the sea, mountain, dessert, forest) or just the same?
3. can the developer introduce custom pregnancy quest? (just like searching in the club, but here they need ur penis/uterus for their progeny in exchange for money)
4. cuckolding? can it be part of main story? and if so will there be pairing up in the game? possible action of marriage? something similar to enslaving?
5. include a trait to increase the number of turns for combat? like though skill points
6. default save files to start from a point of the story for every update?
7. a quest to host a party/gala at liliths mansion? maybe after becoming a demon
8. sex with rose? how long will she just be a tease?
9. need more interactions for beside position
10. whats the endgame?

  1. Unknown, but not much of a priority. It's unlikely to change the general rules of slavery and is more likely a small diversion and a convenient excuse to meet up with and fuck the rat bodyguards.
  2. We'll get racemodding next and then field content for a while. The other areas are far off but with the former, there'll be no shortage of early introductions for all the popular species'.
  3. Join the discord or at least go to the blog if you want to make suggestions, Inno doesn't really follow this thread.
  4. There will be marriage.
  5. There will be ways to gain more AP much later, when there are enemies that actually justify it.
  6. Just keep playing the one you already have.
  7. See 3
  8. Probably not too far off, at least once there's a decent chunk of field content and main story progress.
  9. See 3
  10. Making Lilith your chair.

1. you can buy a license to enslave most non-unique NPCs, and unique ones can only be enslaved if there is written for it.
2. unless it was changed since the last time I played, the main quest's current end mission was to go to a village outside Dominion. Yes there will be some unique races in each area.
3. probably best to ask on her blog, subscribestar rather than here.
4. same as #3, but it would almost certainly not be forced upon (although it could be presented as an option) in a main quest.
5. stuns (as an example) can take away enemy turns. there are many routes you can take in combat builds, some better than others.
6. most people just import their save from version to version. All the choices and activities you can do makes a start of new content troublesome to say the least.
7. this is unlikely to happen for a very very long time, even if it is in the cards.
8. Probably never(she has an easy to miss scene already if you are ok being on the receiving end in a submissive posotion). When it was possible to give unique NPCs fetishes/modifications through potions she could be convinced to receive during the scene where she catches you stealing panties though.
9. the game is getting more mod support over time, so eventually I'm sure somebody will be able to release a pack to spice up content for 'underutilized' positions.
10. play through the main quest and you more or less find out what the end goal is. A mostly spoiler free version is "gain power by banging specific individuals" though.

Who was Murk? I dont remember who they were and where you can find them
I *think* he was one of the brainy minions in the Rat Warrens who actually worked with the milk slaves. After capture, he is sent to work at or enslaved to the casino.
Others will have more info. (y)

Who is "Wes" and what quest is that about? o_O
