Phalzyr has not been active since early August. He's dealing with a loss that I can't imagine. My heart goes out to him and his family.
That said, this project should be marked abandoned. If Phalzyr decided to pick it up again, it will be there...but for now, it's effectively abandoned. I can't really blame the guy.
Perhaps he can make his work on this Ren'Py remake available so someone else can pick it up and keep it going.
Cant he like transfer the project to someone else, so the game gets updated, after all, he has been checking these forums, it's not like helping the community here would do anyone any harm

Overview:
This unofficial port/version is not released by developer, download at your own risk. Note: That This version has the same content as P and P's equivalent version number, however due to RPGM restrictions it forced you to nothing for almost a week - so the RenPy version actually has 7 less days due to skipping the repetitive non-content period. No you don't need a walkthrough yet, as all choices are indicated and no endings are in his game yet (The choices are same as orig so you can use its walkthrough to see consequences for those choices but right now it pretty much either naughty or not ).
This is a port of P and P RPGM version here
I have a version 1.8.....
trying it out, but so far (5mins in..) I HATE it.....nice graphics on a full screen, but with no way to minimise to check other things you may have going in the background...and then the mapping....are you serious with the crap resolution even though you've taken over the whole screen!!?? It actually looks blurry on my screen even though I have a high end graphics card.
Is it really so difficult to build in a variable or windowed play area?
The main thing is getting access to RPGM scripts and making sense of them, because you'd need to be able to transfer the variable changes for event triggers, etc. Once you have all that knowledge, rebuilding the game on Renpy is rather easy, it's the most user-friendly engine I've ever seen, most work is about transfering the images and connecting them to the scenes, so they appear whenever they need to be in the script. The rest of it comes down to connecting the scenes to each other and working around the open-world nature of the game.
