And I completely agree with you about that.
We spoke with our patreons and they know that everything has been finished except "shaping up the story" I've also mention that we have some good news about LoTv and the crew. I know it's been a very long time after the last update has been released. We had some major issues in our lives. Of course I'm not gonna talk about that, that's a past. The important thing now is that I truly believe we're getting back on track and the reason why I'm so sure it's because the good news I'm gonna share with you guys after the patch is released. Thank you for understanding and sorry for my poor grammar, "K" (translator) is on vacation.

You see, to me it no longer matters if there will be a release or not. This is, not to be debated, a hoax in my book. If you deny's one right to decide whether or not to support you anymore, no matter your personal problems - or people's views regarding those (unknown 'till now) claims truth value, than you're tricking them. Tricking people that put money on the table is nothing short of a hoax.
The only reason for which one wold be OK with this attitude is probably the fact that many got used with this attitude, be it from a high level authority, like a government or people around them. But "people do this all the time" is not a valid reason.
As it seems they knew all along the update wouldn't land soon. Why haven't this been anounced? Yeah, I think you do know the answer to this one. Some just choose to ignore it.

The important thing now is for you to explain those issues. I get that not bringing personal issues to your workplace is professional, but this calls for an explanation.
But yeah. Throw out the patch, explain your issues, and then get back on track. This guy's reputation is already ruined long before this message. Hell, he could have gone to the nearby library if something happened with his own computer (If that is the issue).
That last part though. Lmao. Translator is on vacation. While every patreon is left in the dark, that person is on vacation. Yikes.

I always think that people that supports patreon like this one (hell, a lot of them are like this sooner or later) must have a lot of money and be like brainless chickens... Even if I was rich, I would quit cause these creators are just messing with you and saying "personal stuff happened h3h3h3". Like you said, posting that you are gonna need months to release another update because reasons is not that hard unless your living in Africa...

I know what the major issues where, they had no idea where to spend all that milked patreon money.

While it's possible that they had personal issues, it's just that every guy milking their supporters have used that exact same excuse before, so like you said, unless they give details people will likely think they're lying.
As for the translator being on vacation, I have to agree that is another questionable excuse. Worse comes to worse Google Translate never sleeps, so claiming your translator is unavailable is a bit weak. And based on the reply they posted without the help of their translator their english isn't horrible, so they should be able to make do without a translator to at least communicate with their supporters.
I'm still hopeful that the update will be good and that they really have had issues to deal with, but it's really starting to look like they're slowly moving into the Patreon Dairy Farmers Association at this rate. Lets hope the update and their big "news" proves me wrong.

No, this does not happen all the time. There are some devs who are cummunicating with their patrons and updating their games in acceptable durations. You can see some devs active at this forum. It's up to us, the supporters of the projects, to decide who to support. If i am supporting a guy who didn't update his game for 6 months and didn't communicate with me, i consider this my fault.
I never pledge until the game is updated for a few times and i always stop pledging if the developer did not make a new patreon post for more than a month. Those guys are making about 2.000$ from the patreon, whatever their real life issues are, they can find 10 min. to make a post.
The eta that im aware is" will be ready soon" ,from wht they told ,they are doing some nore text,so im trust them until the end of this month,if they dnt do anything or the update is weak im jumping the patron but until there lets see whts going on, i m not defending them ,just having a litle hope
