Yes, this is a bug. It wasn't like that in earlier versions of the game. Hopefully, PaleGrass will get this fixed in time for the next release. If not, I'm sure he'll get it patched soon.

This game has never had animations friend. With the quality of renders this game has, even simple animated sequences would vastly increase the amount of time it takes the developer to create updates.
Why, for the love of porn, do I have to wait for half a minute to get to the menu anytime I navigate to the main screen?
I mean, sure, it looks nice, but it takes WAY too long! Have some respect for the player`s time ... please!

Is there a global and settings save in the folder? These should be created automatically when you start the game

I've tested it out by moving my save folder to a new location, re-downloading the save and it didn't work but adding the original global and config saves back fixed it. I'm uploading mine, give it a try
