I mean it always runs, you do not have to press any button, I just use it with the arrows up, down .. etc

and that's exactly what i said, "always dash" is already active
if you use now the <shift> key, you toggle dashing off for the time you press <shift>

Why is he even bothering with this version of the game when he is in the process of making a much better version of it in ren'py. It boggles my mind.
