I haven't checked in a while, but it's probably just minor bugfixes. The next content drop is the DLC.
Check that you haven't accidentally removed any bgm files while modding, and check that you haven't muted the game window accidentally.
If it is an actual bug in the game's save file and only affects that particular save, I can't think of any reason for that, but you could start a new game and use the cheat table from the extras to get your data to a similar point as your old save.

Can play the game at Linux using Wine just fine though.

Can anyone list all the new contents in 1.4? So far I've seen the new 'go to town' illustration, the new cowgirl riding scene, the pent-up blowjob scene, and the option to ask to see her boobs when eating at the guild.

Main thing was story and UI changes. There's different routes through the game instead of making the guild serve food.
