wow more support with the making a trailer dunking on kagura and letting me use translated bits in it than expected.. nice.
however we do not have a unanimous vote / opinion on revealing the existence of our community so I will be postponing that indefinitely.
so I have decided that what I plan to do is
a) make a completely vanilla japanese game trailer with no controversial bits... at least I don't think that proving that kagura did a shitty trailer is in anyway controversial lol.
b) make a completely english version of the trailer, with these stipulants.
- no mention of piracy
- no mention of our modding community
- I forgor but something's meant to be here
- if kagura has a translated gameplay scene in their trailer or other material, and I want to use that scene in my trailer, I will copy it word for word to my copy of the game, and replay the scene with a proper font, either the one shade uses, or one of my favourites from other translated eroge lol.
-- the above stipulant only applies if their translation is satisfactory.
- if I want to use a translated scene that doesn't fit the above criteria, I will retranslate in a slightly different manner to shade's and put a disclaimer at the end of the video something along the lines of (shade feel free to change this disclaimer in any way):
~ This trailer is a f@n made passion project, made by one english speaking f@n of the game with the advice and help of a few friends, to point out the in@dequacy of the "k@gura games" treatment and translation of inusuku's masterpiece, from a bl@nd font & lack of gameplay preview, to bl@tant storyline mistakes and an @dvertisement format that was outdated a dec@de ago and suit@ble for a completely different genre of g@me, namely visual novels.
~ The tr@nslation included within may differ from kagura's final version as it was made specifically for the purpose of this trailer, with scenes tailor transl@ted for use within it, and is intended to be shown as a minimum of what SHOULD BE the stand@rd of translation and presentation of a g@me of this calibur.
~ credits:
shade
linylo
tba (might include a few more notable community members for the heck of it)
in the actual version of the disclaimer of credits there won't be @s and I'll slightly change the names in the credits so the text used and usernames won't directly link back to here if typed into a search engine.
c) make a compilation of every mistake kagara has made already in regards to this game that I can think or find in the comments here to compile and be available to read in english and japanese so inusuku can use them as ammunition to bargain with kagura for a better deal with more respect from kagura, or be able to cut the deal with little to no cost. I am pretty sure there are laws
TBH what I want to come out of this are six things
1. inusuku having a cute lil fanmade trailer portraying the game in all it's glory.
2. inusuku being made aware of kagura's glaring flaws from a foreigners POV
* woulda said shady business practices but that felt like giving them praise by comparing them to our
Shadesishere
3. inusuku being made aware of the glaring flaws they have made in his game's trailer by kagura
4. inusuku being able to
a) make reasonable demands as to the translation quality and presentation of their game, which, considering that is the very basis of kagura's existence, should already be a baseline.
b) cut or break ties with kagura with little to no consequence if they so choose to do so, as kagura has already acted in bad faith, and inusuku should have the legal grounds to do so.
* of course, I will make it clear I don't want this to actually happen, but it should be an option of recourse available to inusuku if they continue to act in bad faith.
c) be an example of an indie game creator gaining an advantage over and putting a shitty company in there place when they act in bad faith
* I'm allowed to have unrealistic hopes, alright.
5. a better english version of imouto seikatsu! fantasy that will lead to inusuku gaining more profit than if no-one had said or done anything.
6. a reason to mess with shades translation on my version of the game so I can add back some of the stuff I think is cuter in japanese like the LOVE parameter being 兄LOVE at max value, and more accurately translating imouto's weekend greeting to be either "do you want to go on a date with me?" or "do you want to go out with me?" rather than the slightly different connotation shade uses of "do you want to date me?."
*lil stuff like that that I have a preference towards that I'd never make the effort to do without any stimulus, then all I'd need to make this game perfect in my eyes is an in game gender fluidity potion so oniichan can become an oneechan and teach imouto how two girls can have fun together, god if you're real I wish you would give inusuku the impulse to make some kasumi x imouto yuri art/gameplay, or maybe give me the ability to draw... not that I would believe that either of these actually came from god.

I have read a few of your comments expressing concern that I might include colored cg in the trailer, or materials that inusuku has not made himself.
I want to make it clear that from the start I intended to make the vanilla japanese and english trailer separate from the influence of any mods, so that it shows only the base game experience.
And at least for now I have indefinitely postponed my intention to make inusuku aware of our forum, though I do think that once they have finished work on the dlc and the the base game, and we have ceased active development on our mods to the game, it would be nice to be like
"hey btw, that really popular game of yours actually got a piracy community invested in modding and enjoying your game to it's fullest potential, unfortunately we didn't want to interrupt your ongoing work to your game or have you interrupt our ongoing illicit work on your game, so we stayed quiet about our existence."
"also that fanmade trailer that gave you a better deal with kagura when they tried to half-ass your english version of the game and leech off anyone buying it while giving them a downgraded experience, yeah that was made by us megalol"
~ end good daydream of the future.
~ begin roasting of the jerk who complained in the comments sections about the quality of shadesishere's translation only when an official translation is in the works and who seems to honestly think that kagura games translation will be more enjoyable than shade's.
guess what jerk, if it is better than shade's after it's released and they've fixed the font issues and attitude issues that inusuku will hopefully bring up with them, then it will be entirely because of shadesishere, that their translation becomes better than his is, in your petty opinion, at least.
do you think I'd even bother to do anything more than be incredibly offended at their slackness if I didn't have an enjoyable translation to compare it to, hell no. I'd complain, but there's no way someone with my personality would do something personally if I didn't think it was worth it.
and if it still doesn't get better after this, well sucks to suck, jackass(s).
*kagura not disincluded
*terms and conditions don't apply
how about you open up the games files and make a translation you would personally enjoy more yourself, like shadesishere did. how about you then share your personal translation with others on this thread, and maybe my opinion of you would rise a little bit... I'd even give you a compliment and say you've grown as a person, and it's nice to see people change.
~ goes back to original list of what to do at top of this longass comment
d) maybe make trailers showcasing other mods if I can get permission once I've finished the vanilla trailers.
e) maybe upload a personalised translation and contribute a lil' to shade's
f)inish updating mobile version to daseson's current color mod, it literally only requires finding the bash scripts from months ago and rerunning them with the current files transferred to the correct places.
