What kind of customization are you expecting?
Well, the customization we know about of course with colors, outfits, etc.
But Im hoping for maybe slight face changes down the line. I particularily really liked the face section and frontal part of the old K model, it made her look more human. I am aware a majority of people disagree on that, so since the new models seems to be prefered by people who liked LoK to begin with, cause its a more furry-oritented version, I hope for some slight customization, especially around the face section. Im not EXPECTING anything though.

I don't know what to tell you. Personally I like the more humanised designs, I find them much more stylised and visually appealing. Some modeders do wonders with the anthropomorphic races in Skyrim.

If Skywind gets the same modder love as Morrowind and Skyrim got over the years we are in for a blast. That's some very good looking Argonian. :BootyTime:

I have to ask because there is no text. Is that actual progress? Because that's the Head of a piece of artwork you claimed is one month old on 6th this month. I hope it didn't take 1 1/3 moth to put that head on a body.

No problem, I showed that off more because of the Marine Outfit. (that specific dog character is going to have a different outfit)

But if my memory serves correct the marine characters work was being streamed 2(ish) weeks ago. And the results were posted to teasers on the 20th.

I just looked it up. For the head, the patrons saw the teaser on April 11th. For the outfit, the Patrons saw the teaser on May 6th. It’s fair to assume Kuja finished those pieces a few days before that.

So it’s fair to say it took about a month and a half from this character’s teaser art posted to character ready to be placed in game.

I think they need some gallery to make the advertisting better once they are back on track and up to speed with the old 0.8.
Cause its really hard to get a sense of their progress, even with the trello and the sporadic blog posts. Its nice to have lists, but a lot of the information that is out there on the net - especially anything that is not directly on the launcher or in the blog - is older than a year.

I 100% agree.

It’s just a lot of what’s available is unfinished. The ship section is still 1 room, the CG scenes are missing SFX and dialogue, and the village has Vanlen’s minigame, but that’s missing scenes and the scenes that are there are still misaligned.

I don’t think we need to get to “.8” levels. It’s about cleaning up the above issues.

Then Id say the issue is the project planning. Honestly, there is 2 business models to go for here.

The first one would be "we do collect money, and set out to make a specific part of the game (multiple "acts") or the entire game in a cetain amount of time. Then we have a full release and BOOM. Doesn't matter much in this case what they do when.

But if they have the model where they continously want money and release updates every 2, 3, or 4 months then they should put the pipeline out for it. Its neat the work on stuff that you really WANT to work on in your free time, but the main development time should be focused on getting out the exact content they need for the next update, or for the next two updates. Anything else needs to be put in the queue and planned for later. That way they can work themselves from update to update steadily. Even if they want to brush over certain things later to improve them, that's fine. If I build a house I don't start with the roof or the heater I want inside, I start with the foundation, I build it room for room, level for level. I don't build room 1 on ground level one day, then work on room 3 on level 2.

Obviously it's easy to say this from here, and I do not have the knowledge to see what is happening behind the scenes (again, transparency is a huge problem for any development that wants continous financial support. There should be clear roadmaps and transparency of progress), but to me it seems like they might be lacking direction. The vision and plans might be there, but the organization... idk. Again, just what it sounds like when you say things like "a lot of what's available is unfinished".

Sorry for the late response. So basically there are two options here. It is either the slowest progress of all time or the most unorganized one. Both explain why there is less to nothing to do in this game after the long time it has been working on.

I’m not concerned about what anything sounds like. I really just focus on telling the truth and showing off things you can realistically see in either the next update or the near future.

The game should be considered on its own merits. Hopefully I’ve been able to do that. Good, Bad, or Indifferent.

It has been talked about. And so far through 2022 it has been followed. Updates every 2 months of the progress that has been made. The patreon has a roadmap and the same one will be added to the OP soon.
