Scammed? No

You’ll have a consistent stream of info. With the public version being 1 build behind the patrons.

The goal is to keep everyone in the loop on the current state of the game. With the hope of earning the support. Not trying to sell the game with ambitious dreams and hollow promises.

Everyone will be seeing the patreon posts here. If you think I’m failing at that. Please let me know.
Yeah I used to support the devs on Patron but I felt like I was not getting anything in return. Like it too way too long and each new version was barely adding new content. I'd get like 10-20 minutes of content maybe less with each update. Idk, just a bit burned is all. Was really hoping they made a good games because I think they are talented just this game has been in development for years. There are so many other H-Games that actually release and are good quality, just sucks this one has been in like its early phases for years now.

I remember the Tribe Devs planned bi-monthly updates, so, if we take that into account, only five to six updates per year.

They've just got back on to their feet now after two years trying to figure things out, last I heard.

The game has a barebones,at best, story. So the onus is on us getting the story out. Not you reaching any “level”
I thought there'd be at least some foundation for these past months you folks have been working on... you know, base area plus beginner's corner on somewhere or whatever :O

Fair

From an assets and code perspective the game is in a solid place. But from a dialogue standpoint the game is lagging behind. And unfortunately, until the dialogue catches up. Things will continue to feel hollow.

Fortunately, this is a problem corrected with time, and not so much with resources.

It just simply needs more time in the tank. And as long as y’all know it. I’m comfortable with it investing that time.

Well, if time can correct the problem, how many people are working on dialogues and lore and all that? All of this tech talk, which is good in and of itself, makes me wonder how the writing goes so far... since I seldom heard

Hey, Sorry for the late reply.

There are two people working on the writing. You have Vlad, who's primary focus is getting the Combat Doc completed for the coders and getting a wiki together so we can stop linking to the old .8 one. And another writer who is responsible for dialogues you'll see in the 0.1.4.0 build.

Once Vlad and the other writer are able to focus on dialogues together. I expect a lot of the dialogue issues to be corrected.

And you do bring up a good point, so next Monday will be a great opportunity to talk about it.

Okay, so, two writers for the whole thing?

Might be a little difficult to do, but if it's plausible -- so be it. Let's see if the writing is up to par with the quality you folks always strive for.

Hello,

I haven't been watching for this game for years (since they started developing a completely new game and abandoned the previous one) and I don't want to waste my time reading dozens of pages filled with copium.

Can someone be real with me and tell me how many events (scenes) are in this new game as of right now and is it in a playable condition?

Thanks.

Sure, there are 6 CG scenes in the memories (gallery) section, outside the game. The only in game quest line is Vanlen’s, though we have missing scenes and 2 of the scenes are misaligned. With that said, if you’re looking for ingame substance. The game is, realistically, 2 builds away from having a substantial feeling starting point.

Sorry, this is my fault. The current public build is 0.1.3.1 in the launcher. So if you want to give it a whirl. You can find the download for the launcher on the patreon or the team’s website .

:ROFLMAO:

Have to be a sewer rat to keep a name similar to the previous game, even though it has nothing to do with the character it represented, with the sole intention of confusing people. Because the current name doesn't make any more sense than that.

We Beg Your Acceptance of this Elegant Thimble

Hello and Welcome to the month of August. We must hurry, there is much work to do and so little time.
Pilots! We thank you for your patience and we’re pleased to release build 0.1.4.0 to you. If you’d like a refresher of the changelog, please visit . Also you can expect to see some hotfixes soon for these known bugs.
  • Leaving and returning to the briefing room, after playing the dialogue, will cause the scene to place again
  • Some doorways don't let players enter them after opening it
  • Some user's tutorial don’t progress after the shower scene
  • Characters misaligned in the briefing room scene
In addition to the build fixes, the launcher also received some much needed TLC. Please verify your launcher is version 1.2.3
Changes:
  • Fix to Patreon ranks coming in incorrectly
  • Fix to SubscribeStar ranks coming in incorrectly and named incorrectly
  • Fixed error which prevented users who weren't logged in from clicking play on the game
  • Fixed rank display showing incorrect icons or ranks
  • Added more error checking to help fix issues affecting a small number of users
Please continue to give your feedback and report bugs as you find them.

What have we been working on these past few weeks?

Firstly code has been hard at work laying the foundation for our combat system. The basics of which will be familiar to anyone with experience playing tabletop RPGs. Our goal is to build a combat system that emphasizes Tactics, Preparation, Build, and Party choices. While de-emphasizing reaction times and muscle memory.

But we must start at the beginning. And the work is going into creating a very barebones system to determine whether or not the combat is “fun”. As always things are very likely to evolve over the coming weeks.

For Kuja, it has been all hands on deck finishing the Armory and Hanger backgrounds. Thankfully he was able to unleash some creative juices on the Tavern Concept Sketch. Our Patrons will be seeing that today. Let us know what you think; maybe even drop some suggestions on the kind of things you’d like to see with the Waitress quest line.'

Next up for Kuja is finishing the remaining Marines in the Absolution. The current list includes Corporal Vasta Rodriguez, PFC Ana Rodriguez, PFC Sammy Winston, and Colonel Kurt Barrett. While this is not the complete list of characters for the Absolution, this is where we are choosing to pause the ship for now.

And of course, something special will be coming for KAM.

Animation has the awkward distinction of having some of the simplest sounding tasks being assigned to some very complex work. First off is animating the above mentioned Sammy, Vasta, and Ana MFF scene. This is, by far, the most ambitious of the CG’s we’ve made. Three full body characters with and without clothing. We hope this whets your appetite for the future scenes that involve everyone’s favorite vixen.

Calling the combat animations basic, is the farthest thing from the truth. So let’s call them bedrock combat animations. They will be the litmus test for the effort moving forward. And we are excited to give you updates as these grow and evolve.

Finally Let’s talk about the Writing Team. Eagle eyed users would have noticed our launcher still links to the depreciated .8 version of the Wiki. Vlad has been hard at work establishing our new Wiki. It’s still not quite ready to be released into the wild. But soon you’ll have access to the most in depth repository of information Lok:Re has ever had.

Estuite readers would have noticed this post has followed a common trend. Combat is on the menu. And this has been the focus of Vlad for quite some time. And we’re finally bringing his vision to life. Here’s a small taste of some of the work he’s been up to.

Cold Blooded
Race: Sultari, Jotnar, Lizard, Grund, Keipr, Reptiles
Gender: Male/Female
Description: This creature has no ability to keep themselves warm.
x% damage resistance to fire/heat. x% more damage taken from frost/cold.

Battle Fervor (Passive)
Description: The rhythm of battle can be heard through those most in touch with the bloodshed. Hear the war drums
beating. Kill them all. Every enemy you kill in battle increases your damage output by x% until the end of the battle.

Purge Blood (Active)
Blood Magic
Cast Type: Channeled
Target: Party
Description:The caster will filter the blood of the entire party, cleansing random debuffs per second from each member:
Poison, blindness, agony, diseased, neurotoxin, infection, hemotoxin, weakness, berry drunk, bleeding, and exhaustion.

Of course this is future, FUTURE, kind of stuff. We're still in the bedrock stage of combat. Everything is subject to change. So we beg your acceptance of this elegant tease. Thank You for the continued support. Until next time. Peace and Stay Strong.

Also, for anyone who prefers a direct download link for the public build. The link at the bottom of the description is the version 0.1.3.1. Sorry to make you go off site, but for now this is the band-aid solution. Screenshot_4.png
