That's too bad, I quite enjoyed the visuals from their first game. I really wish they would have just completed that one, instead of overhauling it to the point that it's basically a new game.
And I also have the right to express that I'm tired of reading discussions on the same topic for years. I'm not stopping anyone. Don't know why you get that impression.
There is at least one LoK game that I know of that was completed. Version G by GorePete.
I suggest you try out version 0.8 of LoK:Rebirth. It may be abandoned now, but it was pretty good, despite its slow gameplay.
LoK:Rebirth was not a remake of a previous game. It was a new thing based on the stuff that came before it. This remake is the remake of that game, though. So it's on layer 1.
Well, they are now going to make it into a 2d game. No more 3d.
Their art used to look better, the animations used to look smoother, and the progress previously progressively got slower, and slower, and slower, only to then finally be abandoned because "LOL" new art style. Why rebuild the game from the ground up just because the art is changing?

No. That's not the reason for the remake.
There are dozens of pages in the LoK:Rebirth thread discussing why the game got a remake. I suggest you look for posts by MightyAltroll and Abelius for first hand info.
Why would I want to contribute to the thing I am tired of? That doesn't make any sense.
If anyone is actually going to stop expressing their opinion just because of what I said they have got worse problems to worry about.
lol they started with making fuckin own launcher even before tech demo. game is not in high priority at all.
It was actually 5 years, they started the project back in 2015.
And they've still yet to even reach the original LoK's content quantity despite making 3 different versions of their game and having half a decade's worth of development time. Which is just sad considering the original was made for free in under half a year by a single guy in his spare time.
LoKR has always been an LoK remake, it's literally in the name and explicitly said to be the intent back when the project first started. And this is currently a remake of their remake's remake, so we're on layer 3.

That´s a little "oof" for me then, maybe it will be implementet again? I liked the village so far and i dont know if i am the only one (i dare to doubt that though), but i liked how Krystal had to pull all her strength to get this cauldron to the damn pond XD

The resources for this remake are all made from the ground up and not taken from the Rebirth game. But much of the concepts and story bits will carry over from that version.
