easier to setup than games set on modern time since no need make big cities or immersion of big population and many places (cafes, theaters, etc) and a lot other things and more freedom for characters.
Well, it doesn't have to be that way. Although you base your game on the contemporary or future age, you do not have to include many elements or population for the game to have quality, there are examples of non-fantastic games that have solved it very well and without including so many things, it is based more on that the developer is clear about the idea of the universe he is creating, and less about putting unnecessary things. Belle shows that she is a developer who has worked a lot in the world of LLTP and hence the quality of it.

It's more about the side effects that add to the universe of the lore... medievil fantasy setting has magic, futuristic settings have supernatural technology that expand on the normal human capabilities... but real time settings tend to be boring as they are far to strongly tied to a persons every day live... it takes A LOT of skill to write upon a compelling story in that setting without makeing the people feel like they play "The Sims".
The surprising part is that Belle did not follow suit with useing overhelming magic and sword skills to write up the sory of a chosen one slaying the demon king, but rather an avarage city dwelling Joe becomeing involved with a power struggle so much bigger than him... yet he is not faceing his foes on any battle field, but uses smarts and a little wicked mind

Agree with you. I suppose that each genre and era in which you base your work has its pros and cons. For example, if you base your game on today, you have the context created, however if you base it on something medieval you must create from scratch all the lore, from the races that inhabit your world (orcs, elves, dwarves, witches, unknown races etc) and let's be honest, if in today's world you can give the feeling of playing the sims, in a medieval world you will always be compared to great stories of this, as may be the case of the works created by Tolkien, Martin or Sapkowski, that is to say that it is not as if creating a fantastic universe was all that simple.

Thank you! This is a very important aspect of this game for me, one that I think many don't even realize is there. This story is very much about a person who has a minor magical gift, yet gets wrapped up in something way above his paygrade. That the MC is in over his head should become very apparent in 0.32.

I've had messages from players asking for stuff like weapon shops, and it makes me scratch my head in wonder. What kind of game did they think they were playing? Just because a game is in the fantasy genre, does that mean that the "hero" has to pick up a sword and kill hundreds of orcs? I don't think so, and LLtP is part of my ongoing mission to show that the fantasy genre has room for more interesting storytelling than people think.

As of version 0.31, Android is officially supported. Of course, if you download a pirated version of the game, I can't guarantee that you'll get whatever it was I made.

That's interesting, I think I never actively thought about that. But I certainly never missed the presence of a combat system or something like that.

I also really like the way that it is done. It feels a bit more like the old text-adventures of the past that also often played in a fantasy world but, even if there was combat in the story, the gameplay didn't involve being good at punching a lot of buttons very fast or something like that (which I mostly suck at xD) but being intelligent and logical about how to proceed.
So I'm glad that this game follows that same sort of structure.

Sure, but that kind of thing is not really what I was talking about. What I was referring to were the kinds of threads where the people who actually care about story rank the various games and creators against each other. I usually (but not always) get an honorary mention in such rankings, but LLtP has never been able to compete properly. I think it's because of the lack of resolution and payoff in the story, but it remains to be seen.
I think a major reason for that, is that LLtP is so much different from most of the games on here that it doesn't seem to fit when ranking games of specific categories.
Most of the lists I see specify best incest, or best NTR or some other specific category, while LLtP as it stands to date is far more of a fantasy story with naughty bits.
It is an incredible game, by far the best I have ever played, but it just doesn't fit into the normal porn game categories for ranking purposes.

Since we were discussing players ranking their favorite games and not being, "objective" about it, it is a truism that such rankings are totally relative to the players themselves and say nothing about the quality of the game plot writing. They say a lot about the player's prejudices, not the games.
I rank LLtP as No. 2 on my list only because my No. 1 is a Space Opera which is a genre I like better than medieval magic and fairies..which I also like. However, few Space Opera's have anywhere near the story and development that LLtP has..and that goes for the Magic genre as well. And, I confess, my No. 1 pick is not as well developed (yet) as LLtP but I give it the nudge because it made the MC to be just like one of my childhood heroes, a slightly flawed person who makes mistakes (occasionally) while showing grit and determination facing the perils and his enemies of the Galaxy with the added twist of having to manage a little harem on the side. IE, it engaged me more. However, that does not mean it is a 'better game' than LLtP or that I like LLtP less because of it, they really don't compete with each other.
LLtP is the finest game in the Magic and Sorcery genre that I've run across. Period. And, I'm sure that if Belle tried his hand at a Space Opera it would be fantastic. (I quiver with excitement at the thought) But, hey, if he doesn't, he has made a classic with LLtP he can be truly proud of, no matter what our, the ignorant unwashed masses, opinions are.
All hail Belle, King of the Magic Genre!!

It's high up on my list of options for my next game, but I ended up deciding against it (though it's not 100% decided) because I don't think it makes much sense to go for two niche genres in a row if I want to grow my Patreon and SubscribeStar campaigns. If I had a great idea for a sci-fi story that I just had to tell, the business concerns would have gone straight out the window. As it is, however, I don't feel any stronger pull in that direction than I do with games that make more business sense, even from a creative point of view.

Well, I'm done writing, coding, and rendering 0.32. All that's left is testing and proofreading, though both of those are daunting tasks because of the complexity and scale of the endgame updates.

Haven't played this amazing game for a while. Should I wait for "complete" 0.33 or there wont be any changes to routes, old rerenders in last update?
Replaying whole 44 pages walkthrough feels quite tiresome.
Also what about NG+ is it still long away or will be introduced with story completion in 0.33?

for 0.33 you gotta wait quite a while as you can see om post above yours. new game+ wouldn't help since mc would lose his skills etc (no point of training otherwise) and only money would carry over and mc doesn't need money much.

I'm pretty sure stats are going to carry over in NG+ (remember that there's stat checks on the very first cutscene that are impossible to pass in a brand new game)

Splendid! Looking forward to it. I see your argument against an SF game, but I think you could get a lot of fans for another fantasy. Granted, with the amount of effort you put into plotting, coming up with a completely new plot would be hard work. Belle is one of my favorite characters in any game . . .

Another fantasy game is entirely out of the question. It's a matter of practicality. There are very few graphical resources for medieval settings in Daz Studio compared to, say, modern settings. I have expended almost everything that is worth using for the kind of fantasy setting I'm interested in.

You can tell that fantasy assets are a problem by the low quality of some of the backgrounds in LLtP. In fact, I had to use old, outdated assets as late as in 0.32, though I went over it and updated textures and materials to be more modern. I can't wait to start creating for a setting that has a lot more quality assets available to it.

Version 0.32 is now out for patrons and subscribers at and , respectively.

The darkest hour is just before the dawn.

The time has come at last for you to finally encounter the elusive Princess Selena. This is the moment you have prepared for so long. This is the moment that will decide the fate of the world. Will you succeed, or will you falter?

Version 0.32 is the most complex web of paths and possibilities that I have ever made for Long Live the Princess. There are so many variations here, both minor and major, that testing them all was nigh-on impossible. I've done my best, but if you encounter any bugs or flaws in the story logic, that is why. Now that we are so close to the end of the story, I am pulling out all the stops. These are the moments I have been looking forward to showing you all for the past three years. I'm incredibly excited to finally reveal what I've been hiding from you. This is when all the pieces start coming together to reveal the bigger picture.

Changelog 0.32.0 - Endgame Part 2:
  • The endgame continues: Added the events of the day of the coronation.
  • Two new sex scenes.
  • Added a new musical track.
  • Major animation and visual improvements to Primrose's blowjob scene.
  • Improved the main menu screen once again.
  • Various tweaks and fixes.
