Seeking Looking for Mystery/More in-depth Story based eroge games!

So what I'm looking for can be vaguely interpreted.
I'd prefer 2dcg with actual CG over say, pixel animation?
Still, image or animated image is fine, I'm not really bothered by either.
Drawn 3d is okay and I have no preference over the art style itself, I like both Zombie Retreat and classic Japanese styles of art.

3dcg is okay but I'd definitely prefer if the story was worth it; I kinda enjoyed Lust Epidemic.
Overall, the main thing I care about is if the story actually has some thought to it, whether that be in-depth murder mystery levels of thought, or simpler like Zombies Retreat.

Pretty much fine to play all kinks, not into scat or gore so if those options are removable would be preferred (IF not I'll just hold skip on those scenes I guess)
Things like rape, ntr, etc are all fine.

I also have a preference for RPGM (whether combat-based or not I love at least having to interact with the game, it's fine for Renpy games having me click options, explore, etc; but standard vn choose 1 of 3 options is only really okay with me if it's rich in story, etc.
Finally, I'd prefer finished games if possible; I'm fine to play games in progress but try not to link something released last week that will take 2 more years to finish lol.



TL;DR: I'd like eroge recommendations, I prefer 2dcg, but 3dcg is fine if good. Prefer actual scenes (image or animation) over pixel animation, like RPGM based games but other engines are fine. Thanks~

 

[Pretentious Goblin]

Karryn's Prison for the gameplay and art. Writing is decent, comedic tone. Western dev, so a lot of annoying Japanese tropes are avoided. About 70% complete.

The Last Sovereign for the writing. Easily one of the best games on RPGM, though not all scenes have art. It's not my thing thematically so I didn't play it all the way through and can't say how complete it is. But apparently it has dozens of hours to it already, it's a long-ass game with frequent content updates.

Henteria Ch.2 is my favorite NTR-focused game. Only has pixel-art and is incomplete (maybe 60-70%?) but if you like NTR, I think you'll appreciate this one for its writing. No gameplay besides the occasional puzzle, usually skippable. Has several hours to it already. Oh, and play the NTRPG games first if you're interested, it's inspired by those. You might also like it for the conspiratorial nature of the story. It has a very voeyuristic feel to it.

Overwhored is a power-trip experience with a focus on hypnotism. Has typical RPGM gameplay. Completed years ago.

1- Blight isn't on here(loli was the debate,) but can be found via google, dlsite/booth or ulmf. the translation patch is here however.
I will not risk the staff warning mentioned there: the others are more forgiving:
2-SEQUEL awake
3- Sequel Colony
3.5/side story- Asylum

Black souls. Half dark, half wholesome. depends on the path and ending. the plot twist are insane each time, especially true endings. and the game is a nice blind challenge with new game plus , just like dark souls. guide might be needed for ending paths after the first run.
In order:

1-Prequel- Red riding Woods
2-Black Souls
3-Black souls II

Other ones with good artists I played here and there with warnings:

Ideology in Friction -3 paths and one vore (possible) scene on the darkest path. You'll know when it is. Its the losing path.
The Depravity of a Lewd Vampire- the only warning is your milkshake kills the boys in this yard. You see.

Takamkuran set - You will be lost. But you will enjoy the mystery of the game itself when it adds up. Has guides to help.
The MC ? All of them(or he) goes hard and goes home btw.

62studio set- "Cowgirl ending" kinda hard to link. But its on here. Wonderland still in progress. Others can be tedious to some.
good story and scenes for winning. Here are the 3 in order currently:

1-Lust Memory
2-Lust Grimm
3-Lust Friend

KamiChichi- It means god breasts. You will be so baffled the smaller tits are going to impress you more. These game are long, tedious but if you want story its there. If you wanna go for full harem , its gonna be nuts. if you do it i'll simp for you next post. I played all 3 max out because I had too much ....time during covid. Bonus: Every blonde is best girl to me. its a running gag I swear. Storywise and asset wise in cases.

order I played:


1-Apostle (the longest harem and story. pre save for harem ending only after new game +)

2-Island saga (2nd longest. can pre save.)

3-Harem Fantasy(3rd longest. pre save can happen at the end.)


P.S. Blame covid for my bad memory. I stopped playing the shorter ones as much when it started. I'll update this list more when its not periodically later, or message me or spam my wall future posters, I'll compile it and credit it, esp if I didn't play it yet.
