Since I have followed the development of this game since the attempt to continue Our Fate, I feel obliged to respond here as well.
But I find it difficult to do so, because I don't want to be negative. But still when comparing this game to Our Fate I can't help to feel somewhat disappointed. Anyway, I'll try to share my thoughts.
First the obvious:
The game looks absolutely fantastic! The renders are crisp, well lighted. The models are gorgeous. The daughter looks better than the one in Our Fate, in my opinion.
Also the feel of the interface feels really well done. The only thing I don't really like is the filter that goes over the preview pics in the save game page: it looks classy and artistic but it somewhat defeats the purpose of finding your old save points back.
When it comes to the writing, technically it's very good. I think there are one or two typos but overall it's great.
I guess the part where I'm conflicted about is the story.
The MC comes off as a bit of an asshole, especially the scene when he's looking at porn while on the phone with the daughter. Our Fate gave the player more agency with regards to the character of the MC.
The same happens with the daughter. She has a beautiful and angelic face and body, but her clothes border on slutty. Her dialogues seem pretty innocent but her instagram photo's are (in my opinion) too much teasing and somewhat inappropriate. Yes, I get it, that's how it works on instagram but it doesn't seem to fit her personality. Or, at least, the personality that I'd want her to have. Again this game compares somewhat unfavorably to Our Fate in this respect. Although I have to admit that the scene where she's in the car together with the MC was great. Yet it doesn't seem to match her clothing and instagram behaviour. I do hope that the daughter turns out to be a virgin.
The side characters:
I actually liked the co-worker. She is quite out there and may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I think she is a lot of fun. And the sex scene is pretty unique. Initially I intended to avoid the side girls to focus on the daughter (and the wife) but I think I'll have two playthroughs.
I feel somewhat torn about the wife. On one hand I feel that the MC treats her a bit too harsh, on the other hand she does appear to be a hopeless addict, who it seems logical / justified to cheat on. I still feel conflicted about the cheating and hope that can be avoided.
Going forward, I do hope that the daughter and the MC tone it down a bit, or that the game gives the player the option which path to pursue and shape the characters accordingly.
Finally, when reviewed on it's own, without comparison to Our Fate, I think it's great. Much better than many others.
