Good start! Good visuals. That said. Lose the nonstandard interface to saves etc, pointless doesn't improve anything. If you give me a choice to fuck my wife than damn well let me fuck her. Bait and switch isn't cool. Looking forward to what comes next.

I think we like different types of corruption but yes...Definitely agree with this and keeping her character innocent...until we corrupt her

I was still in the development thread (f95 noob moment) and wondered why no one had shared any feedback.
My feedback is meant to be constructive - heck, I was the top Patreon during development.
The renders are top notch. Guy has got talent. With time, he might add facial expressions that represent the moment - a speech, an emotion, a look, a feeling, etc. I did not mind the new UI and the extra steps that much. I found the frequent camera angle at the MC's body and sometimes at Kailee's neck disturbing. Seeing the dialogue without looking at emotions run over the faces of the protagonists takes the life out of the game - more camera pans at the face, please. The renders are great - lets see more of them.
The plot has much to improve upon. I guess all of us had Our Fate level of expectations regarding the plot combined with V19's render previews. However, OF was written by someone who understood sociology and had developed the slow-burner plot carefully. So, not a fair comparison. This is still a new game and can be improved.
Great effort overall!

More like the corruption type where the daughter wants to be "corrupted", rather than the MC pushing for her corruption.
I think that's a bit harsh. It's a different game, not Our Fate remake. But I do generally agree and I hope some changes can be made. I do think that these changes can be fairly limited in order to get the desired effect.
I do think that the writing itself is solid. Maybe it's rather that some of us had some different wishes.

Well this is not a recreation of Our Fate either, more a game inspired by it. I do agree with you somewhat anyways, but I do think people in this thread are glossing over the fact that Our Fate had been developed quite far and had time to actually flesh out its story before it got abandoned.. If it had been abandoned with only 1 hour of content available then that story would not be as excellent as people here seem to think. This game has only just started and introduced its characters, I really do believe that with some of the constructive criticism that people have come with and a few more updates so will this game be up there with Our Fate. Some people might be disappointed in the end but one cant please everybody, sadly..

I enjoyed it for the most part. The daughter is definitely the highlight of the game for me. I pretty much turned down the rest of the women because of various reasons for not liking them. I hope we get to divorce the wife in particular. The main thing i would change is getting a DNA test first thing after the first meet up. I dislike the idea that it isn't confirmed whether she is or isn't the main character's daughter. I am definitely looking forward to more though!

The start of Our Fate is much more dramatic then Lost at Birth.
Our Fate:
- You get a call from a dying ex-girlfriend telling you that you have a daughter and that you need to take care of her
- The daughter gets mugged upon arrival, the MC saves her
- The daughter literally does not have anything except for her friend Anna
- The MC's life seems close to being perfect. Great job, plenty money, steady girlfriend. Only after a while it turns out that he's actually bored.
Lost at Birth:
- The daughter figures out herself that she's your daughter, the MC is skeptical
- The daughter has a fairly stable job and pretends to have a decent place to live, giving the MC reason not to worry too much about her
- The MC's life is far from perfect with the alcoholic wife.
- Only after the MC learns the truth about the daughters living conditions, the story gets some of the same drama as Our Fate. But this update ends shorty afterwards.
The story of Lost at Birth may well be more realistic than Our Fate, so I agree with you that it may need a bit more time.
But in Our Fate, I could not name anything negative about either the daughter or the MC (on the romance path). The characters in Lost at Birth may either be deeper, or just less attractive. Time will tell, I hope of course the former, but am a bit afraid that it is actually the latter. That the MC turns out to actually BE an asshole rather than just pretending to be one, and the daughter actually IS somewhat of a slut rather than just posing as one.
That's why I hope that the daughter does turn out to be a virgin, and that we have a bit more influence on the MC's thoughts and actions.
I think we should end the comparison with OF. This is a new, different and altogether maturing game that deserves its own spotlight and stage.

Don't get me wrong I do agree with most of what you are saying, but I might sound like a broken record when saying this but v19xx is not trying to recreate Our Fate with this game, instead they are taking the overarching story of that game and doing their own thing whit it. So it might be best to just stop comparing the games like that... Not stop coming with constructive criticism ofc.
I might be remembering wrong but the MC in Our Fate was an asshole in his thoughts and a bit dismissive when making the different choices (before you lock into the romantic path), and I wont say that this MC is any better than him because it is so early. I really want the dark corruption route from Our Fate because I found that path to be the most interesting and am myself quite neutral to the daughter being a virgin or not but I do hope that if she is not a virgin that her character is more of the naïve type without experience (clueless).
Also believe that we will have more control over the MC in the next few updates now that the introduction is done, and am almost 100% certain that we will have a good guy route too. If it will be exactly what people want is a whole other story.
TL;DR: This is a new game and not a recreation, let v19xx form their own game and if it is not something for you then that is fine but wishing and comparing it to OF is in the end futile...
As for corruption of the daughter we cant say much for now beacuse in current version of the game there is none but i hope it will be more of the slow burn naive clueless type like in Our Fate. Devs said once in previous development thread that this game will have path system like they intended for Our Fate Remake ( Paternal, Romace and Dark ) so if they realy will do it like that I thinks most of us will find here what they are looking for.

I must say that I found daughter story in Lost at Birth more interesting so far than in Our fate. Sure its less dramatic but feels more realistic. And I like that Kailey at least from the start looks more independent than Claire was. She has stable job, good living condintions, car but as story progress it all go downhill for her. In future updates she will probably become more and more dependent on MC and then we can start corrupting her

Why? You never met some girl who said "I used to rent a room from you when I was just born, you have to take care of me from now on!" ?You're going to have to make a patch (which will make the unpatched story confusing), to stay on patreon. A fun first start but over so quickly

I definitely should NOT post responses like In the first scene the MC tells Cassidy that he's replaced his addiction to alcohol for... well, he uses different words, but sex addiction. He's not a psychopath/sociopath/pervert who talks to his "daughter" on the phone while watching porn. He's addicted to porn, sex, ejaculation, etc. He wasn't jerking off to talking to his "daughter" (*cough* yet *cough*) It was more like an alcoholic who continues drinking while talking to his "daughter".
And yes, while V19 and I both LOVE LOVED WILL LOVE that other game, when we decided to create our own game... well, we decided to create our own game. I write shit that V19 seems to think is amazing; V19 renders shit that I think is so fucking amazing I don't have words to describe it; and anyone who enjoys it benefits.
And yes, in future releases the Player will have more influence over his actions and decisions. It is important to establish the characters as they were. Everyone was established, stable, simple, and kinda miserable until Kailey turned up in the MC's life.
It's like a game of billiards where all the balls were in a nice, stable configuration before the game started. Then the player and that damn cue ball got involved...
I definitely DEFINITELY shouldn't post anything like that.
Well, maybe as exclusive content for higher tier patrons
But overall, I REALLY LOVE THE DISCUSSION.
So, I'm going to slink back into the shadows and watch ya'll with binoculars.

BTW. A few days ago I did a little work with MS Paint and created a mediocre signature image for Lost at Birth which I then uploaded somewhere on F95 and linked to my signature.
Tonight I noticed that I've got a completely fucking excellent yet completely fucking different "F95zone" "Lost at Birth" "Fan" animated image in my signature.
