I have to say that the second round, even though I know what's coming, hurts more than the first one.
Its exactly because you know that it hurts more.

On a first gameplay everything is a surprise, your rationale is dulled, you get pulled by the story. The betrayal - pain. The justification/explanation - pain. The twist/conflicting info - pain. Its a series of small hits that start to compound.

On a replay, you know whats gonna happen, the damage its gonna cause and even how those two could be if Lacey didnt act so crazy. So instead you feel the combined pain of all at once.

I'm glad it's not just me that's been affected by this game, I found it deeply disturbing and found myself deeply invested in the characters

Any ideas when we're getting Act 3?
No confirmed date so far, but given the time of the previous release(Augusta game) it will be in around a month most likely.
From Patreon:

A quick note on Love & Jealousy: I will take a few days off to recharge my creative battery and then will be starting on the next release of Love & Jealousy. The goal is to release it before the holiday season gets too crazy.

I assume or hope the Prof is referring to Thanksgiving and not Christmas.

But as you said, the Prof is pretty consistent, if not communicative, with his update releases. Usually around every 1.5 months, so I anticipate it between end of October to mid November

Oh yeah, the guy writes at amazing speeds, I wish I had that writing prowess, maybe I would not be in my current career but a published writer .

Funny enough, a colleague that worked under me years ago is now a published writer!
I bought copies for all the teams :sneaky:.

Honestly, I'm wondering why I decided to reread this story. The first time, it was all a surprise. Painful, but a surprise. This time, however, it's just pain. I arrived at the pool party and my head is screaming at the top of its lungs... Go back to playing, Mydorm!!!! What the fuck are you doing here? Rereading it is devastating. Every sentence weighs heavily, even from when they were children. The first time you read it, you come across a lot of sentences that don't make sense and you forget them. But when you reread those sentences that were thrown in almost by accident, they weigh heavily on you.
