Me too, but they got together a couple of times more after the first, and always when MC wasn't around.
Let's assume it happened while MC works during the weekends, I think it is stated that Lacey cannot work from home.
(Anna and the pimp made her leave her workplace in act 2, wouldn't she get some work hours deducted? wtf)
Jared gained those info from Christine, it is stated, she would gather info from MC or Jeanette and then report them to her uncle.I don't think we ever got confirmation that this was Jared's doing, only the MC's assumption. I like to play with the idea that FV was playing a long game, saw the chaos of the Jared situation and decided to seize the opportunity and stir the pot and send Barty, Lorenzo and Isaac round. Also makes sense to me, as FV has access and a lot of inside information, but where would Jared have know about Barty or Lorenzo?
This is just a bit of a plot hole, we see how much MC has a thirst for truth, he opens little bitch without hesitation.
The fact that Mc knows there are videos of his wife on the net and never ever mentions it again is fucking weird, in my rewrite it is one of the things he mentions often when he unloads on Lacey.
Unless it will be used now, it is a big missted story wise, and even if it is used now, the fact that the info fell into oblivion is just not great.
I don't know, the other side has to be more a self destructive or self hating side for me, we won't know until we discover it.
The fact is that the city where MC lives in seems to be a major city, major enough to have a NFL team and several big companies.This idea got me way to excited. Same with when you mentioned spring break a while back
It is not a stretch to think that people would visit the branches of their companies in big cities, I do it all the time.
So stephen could simply be met randomly OR contact the pimp OR contact Lacey (Lacey would say no to a meeting at this stage).
I have plenty of things to relay to him, especially because I can be easily misunderstood since I know my communication registry is kinda intense at times.
But I always assumed his silence as unwillingness or absence of interest to participate in the discussion so I respected that.
I have several private conversations with other developers, but they were always sort of willing and engaged.
This is a great theory, so Barty (if it is Barty, I hope and think that it is not him and Lacey was just too blitzed to recognize it) came over even after the whole Jared thing and after he helped with delivering incriminating videos of the hot tub.

From the dialogues I cannot see her using during the morning, she gives the BJ and then goes immediately to shower.
What could have happened which you mention is that she calls Anna about going to play tennis, in fact she mentions that Anna doesn't want to play anymore.
Anna notices something is wrong, calls the pimp and the rest is history.
Still a bit flimsy, but works.
Why is it flimsy? because the pimp is fine giving these grand lessons to MC but never mentions Lacey being still addicted or that she used, she never does, in none of the 1 to 1 convo they have.
Why is this a bigger secret? Why doesn't Mc have the right to know?
I know she is a failed character but damn, give me some consistency here.

I understood that, as her knowing Lacey was using behind his back. And if more about the Barty meeting was revealed, he would find out about the drug. Both her and Anna seem hellbent to keep him in the dark about the drug.

I find the opposite more likely. Her somehow contacting Mia under the influence and then Mia calls Anna to help with damage control. Anna has no experience with druggie Lacey (to our knowledge). Doubt she could have known from a short call. Lacey was very coherent after all.
So Mia calls Anna because she is much better gaslighter than the dumb bitch, rushes to the apt and Anna comes shortly after.

Given who she has fucked, this really is an utterly meaningless statement lol.
Why would she call the pimp? When?
The day before just after she used or after the high? why isn't the pimp there then?
Both pimp and Anna do not know that Mc is at home that morning.
Lacey is "disassociated" and wants to go play tennis, again why would she call the pimp for that? she has no idea that she is doing something wrong, why would she call her pimp?
She doesn't care about being discovered because she is still sort of fucked up, she doesn't even register the fact.
Remember Barty tried to SA Lacey, this could be the big point of the oh fuck.
Makes way more sense since the video and all is just an added plotline for act 2 and makes no sense coming from act 1.

I wanted to post it so we have some sort of proof of the relapse and others knowing about it. Mia knew something related to the relapse and that Barty scene not being so tame as told to MC. So i guess she knew something happened with Barty (the interview?) even if she wasnt exactly sure what.
Then in the deepfake, she dosent find incoherent that Lacey fucked Barty, what finds strange is the conversation while doing it. So i guess she did believe Barty and Lacey did had some action while under the influence.

So this opens up the possibility that she might have used again this early. However, MC's feelings and the Mia texts were also due to Lacey's "bad choices". MC makes a note to himself literally right before the Barty thing to suggest it
The "I started to realize that he wasn't the person I thought he was" really makes me think that it would have been when Barty "tried to be with her". I'm not sure. It's written very vaguely, but it would fit if it were here.

edit : about calling Mia instead, I don't know man, maybe she was looking for a tennis partner. I just find it very strange how Anna was so familiar and well prepared to deal with this. Mia would have made sense but not her.

My speculation is:
We can excuse the SA thing because Lacey is hiding that she is going to tennis with dumb and dumber.
Barty could be explained because she doesn't want MC to know about her past, at that time she doesn't know the pimp is trying to fuck her marriage, so she doesn't know that MC knows about college.
Barty comes over because she saw the videos etc.

Yeah it's true that the love bombs is what made her wonder wtf was Lacey doing, not the sex itself. Which makes sense because she has seen her fucking everything with a dick in that college.
The problem is that Lacey wasn't supposed to be remembering the interview. And Mia could have only found out about it from her back then.

Lacey could have told the pimp that she used, that barty came home and that she dosent remember anything else. Leting her form her own conclusions. That would support her reaction to the deepfake.

Anna calls the pimp as emergency contact, Pimp either fills Anna in or simply tell her to move her ass and get to Mc place, they arrive.
In my mind this is the easiest way things could have unfolded, no need to rack our brains about things like how did Anna know, who knows or whatever.
Simple is better.
