Ahh, I see what you mean, didn't even occur to me that you were talking from an art perspective. I'll need to pay extra attention to that next time I load it up, my eyes tend to get drawn to the eerily slow eye movements during those cinematics.

Philly does amazing animations, and blends Blender and DAZ better than anyone else I know. It's a curse of doing technical art that you stop seeing the "art" part, and only see the "technical" part... usually to pick holes in something. Of all the devs here, Philly is the one (from my POV) that does the best job in terms of pushing the technical envelope in DAZ/Blender/Adobe After Effects.

So... it's a narrow definition, but it makes me more confident of making that call :D
All true but that's not all. He writes good too. Both in characters and overall story. Sex scene composition as well as how they are spread/paced throughout the game is excellent, all while fitting with the story progression but never losing sight that it's ultimately a porn game. And he just keeps pushing forward to improve things. In my mind he is unquestionably the best in this niche of the internet.

But never sell yourself short. You're pretty awesome yourself. ;)

Every time I see mentions of killing a dragon with sniper riffle old joke pops in my head.
What's the difference between movies with high or low budget?
High budget: Camera shoots a Lambo on the street, then you see a Ferrari crashing into it destroying both cars.
Low budget: You see a Lambo going behind some building away from the camera view and then flashes, explosions, flying parts.
No budget: You see two dudes talking to each other, few moments later one is pointing somewhere "Did you see? Ferrari just crashed into Lambo!".

One thing I am still wondering that dragon had like 998000 hp before the cutscene in the last run I did. So what the hell kind of bullets is Chloe using to take it down in one shot?!?!

Oh then you'll love the fact that there is a completely bad-ass WATER out there for you in a can...it's fucking METAL dude. It's called LIQUID DEATH. You even have to be 18 years old to view the site for this 100% water!

Honestly I'm not sure why I'm promoting such an absurdity but yeah.
Hey, you, uh... interested in some dehydrated water? Just add water!

Joining the "love this game" crowd. I've played through Book 1 twice now and I'm super excited for Book 2. Compelling, non-cliched characters and well-written, original MCs that are more than just eyes for the player are rare and of very high value to me. The story is also unique and the mechanics are a joy instead of a hindrance.

I also love how active and helpful you are in this community, Droid. I would immediately support you on SubscribeStar if you ever created one.

Having just finished Book 1 a bit ago, I was wondering how the saves will import to Book 2. Is it going to use just the latest autosave, or will we get to choose what save we use? Like, say we want to have multiple files for different builds or whatnot.

Oh.....WOW!
I just reinstalled 64-bit windows 10 and lost every single save on EVERY game I have played and tried on this site...and I have no idea how to recover them.

The "end of Act6" save gets imported into book2 if you wish. Or you start with a customizer in book2 to set some basic stats.

They were in your %appdata% folder and you cleared all of that when reinstalling windows. So no luck all gone. Unless you did an upgrade and still have a Windowsold folder on your system drive.

it'll pull values from the act6.sav file.

You can rename any other save to act6.sav, and it'll use that instead.

Ah, okay, thank you.

Another question while I'm here, though. Is the Wiki and stuff going to get updated? Seems like the last time it was updated is when you get the Mantle. I know it isn't needed to play the game, but it's useful for some quests, stats, and the like. For example, I had no idea how to do the Black Rose stuff without it.

Well I still have some of the games that I already installed, on my desktop, same as my picture and art folders, so this wasn't a complete f-format or wipe and clean, apparently I just reinstalled windows

Landrassa is on it; there's a new Wiki page that's editable for the general community:

(Previously it was on gitlab, and anyone editing it needed full source access to the repo itself)

Yeah, I forgot the difference. The gitlab one is what I usually look at, but if the fandom one is the one you say is being updated, so I'll check it here and there. If I can think of anything to add I will, though I've never edited wiki stuff before. Thanks for the response, though. And by the way, great work on the game and I can't wait to play some more. Good luck on the rest of it.

If you did a full reinstall of Windows and did not (or did not have the option to) preserve your "personal files" (I forget what the reinstall screen calls them exactly) then yeah, they're gone, and it would take very good file recovery software to have a chance to recover them, if they even can be recovered.
The saves are stored in the C:\Users\{your-user-name}\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ folder and a full reinstall wipes everything off the drive.

EDIT: Whoops, Mossberg is right. I forgot that this isn't a RenPy game, it's Unity.
So your saves for LoM would be in: C:\Users\{your-user-name}\AppData\Roaming\ Droid Productions\Love of Magic
