Yeah, it's the same language any time he has an action he needs to do. I might want to make that more explicit.
If I'm not in a happy mood, sometimes I just permanently quit games that don't have an obvious way forward. Make of that what you will; some people enjoy the challenge, me not so much.

Great game. Sometimes, I like the gameplay over the porn... which is rare.

A few bugs to report (tried to search), all from Act 3 on:

Olivia's Ceremonial Magic Lesson: after beating the tentacle creature, Sarah is there, unclickable, persists through days, overlaps other characters in other events in the circle. Event doesn't end.

Katie's Mega Fireball and Bella's Poison bolt: Both went from 1 / Visit through the portal, to 1 / Act... I used them once each... been weeks, they haven't refreshed.

Apologies if my search above didn't find the other posts.

Yeah, I saw that bug on stream today. In that case it happened when Katie's upgraded fireball nuked the enemy first round, which caused a conversation trigger that was supposed to go off to not trigger. I've added a guard to prevent that.

Katie's Mega Fireball and Bella's Poison bolt: Both went from 1 / Visit through the portal, to 1 / Act... I used them once each... been weeks, they haven't refreshed.
Mega fireball refreshes each trip to Elsewhere, Bella's poison had a bug (fixed in latest Beta) which caused it to only be selectable once.

Yeah, I saw that bug on stream today. In that case it happened when Katie's upgraded fireball nuked the enemy first round, which caused a conversation trigger that was supposed to go off to not trigger. I've added a guard to prevent that.



Mega fireball refreshes each trip to Elsewhere, Bella's poison had a bug (fixed in latest Beta) which caused it to only be selectable once.

Hmm. Haven't found Bella's poison bolt yet. Have to see if I can. I figured there was something because it appears she has an option when using her. I did get the kill with one shot from Katie's fire bolt one time but it was on a lesser being and worked great after that. Now I only use it on creatures with more meat on them so it no longer "flash cooks" them. First time I used the fire ball it gave like a million level. Now it gives 200 damage to the attacked monster.

I just thought of this: Wouldn't it be nice if when we leveled up, we got more actions in Elsewhere?
When you get to level 5, you get 11 action points instead of 10, or something like that.
Action points go up when the player has a major power growth. Due to the actions at the end of Act III, Act IV will start with more action points.

Oh, so it will be story related. I was just thinking of another way to involve the INT points, since getting more XP seems like the only thing affected.

Yes, pretty sure. She's geeking out in the discord channel :)


Apart from that, work progresses on the Crowley expansion. The patreons had a vote, and the next guest for the pub as it
upgrades is Aoife, a Fae Lady, who decides to slum it in Edinburgh.



For the Crowley expansion there's a couple of goals:
- Lore: especially at night I'm expanding the world of Elsewhere, dealing with the darker side, and introducing the Trueborn
- Night time: I wanted to expand the things you can do at night. Reading at the cafe, drinking at the grassmarket, and of course working in the pub
- Add some fun and erotic scenes to the game.

Hey, this poor girl is loving it! And honestly if I'm making people laugh it's worked out alright. Considering how quiet the comment section was during that stream I was concerned people might have been reacting other ways to all those 'uncomfortable situations'!

Is there a wiki somewhere that explains some of the lore and also characters like Merlin, Arthur etc.?

I get really confused with e.g. "god", powers".
Is a god a power? But there exist powers that arent gods?
Sometimes there is a lot informations and names drop, so it is really easy to get confused...:eek:


I also would like to know if the poker game could get a little 'quality of life' improvement in the next patch. It is really annoying that there are serveral mouse clicks and movements necessary to activate the companion abilities. One click on the companion icon should be enough to activate the ability. At the moment you have to click on the icon, confirm the ability and then skip the short text/dialogue (that gets repetitive and annoying really fast).

Maybe you could also add the complete scenes to the memory section of the menu. While the renders/pictures are really good, your writing makes them so much better.


With that being said, this is a really good game.

There's a Wiki, but I haven't added any sections on Lore yet (partially because it would be really hard to do without being spoilery)


All Gods are powers, but not all powers are gods. The difference is that a mortal draws power from their own Spark, while a God can draw from an external power source, their Mantle.

The clearest sign of a Power is the eyes, glowing when they pull power beyond what normal mortals can hold. Most of them can turn that flow on and off, but accidents do happen, and sometimes a price must be paid.


I also would like to know if the poker game could get a little 'quality of life' improvement in the next patch. I also noticed that you can 'skip' the text of every companion with the space button... except the text from the healer (dylan? i forgot his name :oops:)

It's accessible ingame as well (off-hand I can't remember if unlocked in the last public version); Torman hands your a Courseware website on Day 12, which links to the Wiki from the computer.

That's actually a nice solution; I already have an auto-save, all I'd need to do is copy that somewhere safe at a specific name. Let me see if I can get that up and running

The Mac build is missing an executable tag and won't run without being fixed. Here's the fix for anyone stuck.
Yeah, I dev on PC, so I can't add +x during build. It's in the installation instructions, but I'll link in this article as well.


Edit: Actually... I've got MINGW installed for Git, I might be able to use that to set permissions. I'll check it out in tonight's build.

Thank you for your reply. Oh, and about Mega Fireball refreshing on every trip, that's actually how it worked in Act 2. In Act 3, I've gone to Elsewhere about 7 times (not done the act), and it still hasn't refreshed.

Will your fix for the crossbow be retroactive, or will I have to restart to a prior save? Or you don't know yet.

In any case, thanks again for replying and for your game.
